General Hospital Update for Thursday, 1-Apr-1999

Sorry this is so late!!

Laura shows up at GH and talks with Audrey about the job she applied for. Audrey tells her nothing is official but that Laura has the job at the Outreach Program.

Liz has prepared Lucky's apartment with lots of candles and take out food and she says it's to celebrate their first April Fools' day together and she'd rather be a fool for love than just a fool. She shows him her paintings which are all done and she's happy with them. he's sure she'll get into Art School. She gives him a necklace with a NY subway token on it and she's had the words "Liz and Lucky Today Forever" engraved on it.

Bobbie sees Tony at GH and tells hiim that Lucas made the baseball team. They're both excited and then Tony gets sad because he can't see Lucas and asks Bobbie why she told him. Bobbie replies that she thought Tony would want to know. He says "Thanks" and leaves.

Felicia shows up at Luke's to meet Mac and chats with Luke. She's waering the shoes that he gave her. He checks out the shoes and ogles her leg. Then they talk about how he's partners in the club with Sonny and Jason and she says that he must love the trill of the potential danger by having them as partners. They talk about Felicia interviewing Lila and Luke comments that maybe Edward keeps hanging around while they're interviewing because he doesn't want Lila to say something. They joke about what she could be hiding. Felicia says that the 40s must have been an interesting time to be young and single. Luke puts on some 40s music and they swing dance. Mac walks in in the middle and they stop and Felicia starts to explain why she was dancing with Luke, but Mac tells her not to worry about it and they sit down to eat.

Back at GH, Bobbie sees Carly who is waiting for AJ who is talking to Tony about the custody trial. Bobbie asks why AJ wants to talk to Tony and Carly explains that AJ thinks he can help them. Bobbie looks surprised and annoyed at Carly. Carly says it's not her idea, but Bobbie says that Carly is just following what AJ wants as he gets ready to run over Jason in court. They get into an argument. Carly asks why Bobbie is so mad when she's just trying to make up for lying to AJ and that he's not so bad and she should support him, but Bobbie points out that she's still lying to him. Bobbie thinks that Carly is after AJ's money and talks about how she married Stefan because she thought his money would give her security but the marriage was a disaster and Lucas ended up getting hurt and so will Michael. Carly thinks she knows what's best and that Michael belongs with her and his father and that's how he'll be raised.

AJ asks Tony to testify that Jason is incapable of emotion, and therefore should not be allowed to raise Michael but Tony refuses. Since he kidnapped Michael, he says that he'll be discredited and anyway, he wants to put his whole past with Michael behind him. He says that any doctor would say that Jason shouldn't be raising a child.

Continuing their argument, Bobbie is upset that Carly is trying to leave Jason out and says that the Qs will offer a bad home for Michael. Carly slings back that Bobbie didn't care when she was raised. Bobbie says that Carly has more going for her now than Bobbie did when she gave Carly up for adoption, and Carly says that *she's* taking care of her baby and staying with AJ is the best thing to do. Bobbie says Carly won't be a good parent untill she can separate what's good for Michael from what's good for her. Carly says she knows what she's doing and that Bobbie only hears what she wants and that Bobbie dodged a bullet by giving her up for adoption. Bobbie asks Carly why she thinks Bobbie keeps trying and Carly tells her to stop trying. Bobbie says she can't because she loves Carly and wants her to be happy and she doesn't want Carly to have problems with Michael later in life because she screwed up his childhood. Carly says that she doesn't blame Bobbie for the way she is and that she says mean things because Bobbie makes her mad. Bobbie tells C she should just leave the Qs but Carly says they won't let her, but Bobbie doesn't believe that AJ comes out from talking with Tony and he and Carly invite Bobbie to visit Michael, and she says she will and leaves. AJ tells Carly that Tony refused but that they'll find another doctor and they leave.

Jax makes plans for a private jet to take him and Alexis to Greece under assumed names. Alexis goes to Nik's and asks him to sign a medical release form so she can get his records from the clinic in Geneva from when he donated bone marrow. She hopes that Dr. Lestad (? sp) was in such a hurry to send the records that he didn't remove info that will show that Helena knew that Stefan was Nik's father so Helena will be disqualified from being executor of the estate. Nik says this will also DQ Stefan so only Alexis would be able to be the executor. He doesn't trust her when she says she'll have someone neutral appointed. She doesn't blame him and says that it was hard for her to get used to being a Cassadine after hiding it for so long. She admits that she does blame the family and Stefan for making her hide it, but her goal is to remove Helena as the exector and that's all. Nik agrees that she was treated unfairly and signs the release. Alexis says she's sad he won't technically be the prince and asks him not to hate her. She leaves and Katherine comes downstairs. Nik asks her how much she overheard and she tlels him he walked into a trap. Nik accuses her of eavesdropping and she says she just wondered where he went when he got up from bed to answer the door. They agree to drop it. She offers him a job in PR at Deception. As they're heading back up to bed, Laura walks in and sees them. Katherine tells her she has no respect for people's privacy and Laura says she just has no respect for Katherine. Nik says Laura is welcome in his home but she can't insult his guests. Katherine leaves. Nik and Laura get into a brief argument about Katherine. Laura says Katherine is using Nik to get back at Stefan and her and Nik says if that's true, Laura and Stefan should just ignore her. He doesn't think Katherine will hurt him. Laura worries that Katherine will come between them and Nik says they should change the subject or she should leave. Laura agrees to change the subject for now. She says she doesn't know where she stands with him and he says that he'll always want her advice, but that he may ignore it. They laugh and go to celebrate her new job.
