General Hospital Update for Thursday, 4-Feb-1999

Things start off with Luke inviting himself to dinner with Alexis. She's thrilled to see him (not) because she's waiting for Jax to discuss their take-over of Cassedine industries. Alexis does everything in her power to get him to leave, but Luke grins and says roast rump of Cassedine is definately his favorite thing on the menu!!
Stefan is briefing Nicholas on the state of his holdings. Everything is in order, until he gets to the Dimitri Andros trust, which has over 200 million dollars in it. Fuzzy about the origins of the trust, Stefan finally comes clean and says he's embezzled the 200 million to hold for Nicholas. Nicholas says he doesn't want or need the money and Stefan says he'll take it as a fee for being the custodian of his trust over the years.
AJ and Edward are comparing notes on the Carly front. AJ decides it's time to put another nail in the coffin and calls Carly to remind her that time is running out for the paternity test. Carly's freaking out; but Edward decides it's time for AJ to kiss up to her (?????) and invite her into the house. AJ is totally grossed out by the thought of seeing everyone's favorite ho at the breakfast table every morning and tells Edward when donkeys fly.
Bobbie asks Audrey for time off for an extended lunch with Carly and tells her how pleased she is that they are finally getting closer. She says that she feels that Ruby's death was the factor that really opened a window in their relationship. Bobby's crushed when Carly calls to reschedule.
Jax finally shows up to dinner with Alexis and she's ready to back out of the deal when she sees that Jerry's part of the plans. Nothing doing, Jasper says. Either she deals with both Jax brothers or no Jax brothers, and he points out that she brings Luke to the table.
Other things that happened today: some cute scenes with Lucky and Liz at her rape counseling appointment and Monica went to work on AJ; showing him his baby pictures from when he was Michael's age and trying to reason with him that having Jason in his life would be best for him.
The show ended with a bang, with Carly coming to the Quartermaine mansion saying that Jason kidnapped Michael. (Why??????????????) Can't figure that girl out!! Stay tuned!!!
