General Hospital Update for Friday, 18-Dec-1998

The Outback was the place to be today if you happen to be a resident of Port Charles. V got quite lucky and found herself introducing Chicago to the crowd of locals and music industry big-wigs. Ned, who had just told V and Alexis that he would step in to save her booty had quite a bit of shock on his face. AJ must not have been too happy to see it either. He had come just to watch V and Ned fall flat on their faces. (A very quick shot of the crowd showed him dining with everyone's favorite... ROBIN!) Felicia spent the concert with Tony, who had the pleasure of announcing that Monica had reinstated him at ol' GH. She was quite nervous because she was supposed to have met Mac there for the concert. Taggert and Dara (who made quite a cute and cozy couple) told her that he was still at the station when she left....
Luke surprised everyone's favorite cradle robber (Katherine) in her room. He dug for info as to where Stefan would have figured that he framed him for the murder. She told him about Jerry and the forgery conversation. Luke then left. Katherine was then seen talking to a man who worked at the hotel and asked that the caviar be delivered ASAP because her guest (read booty call) would be arriving shortly. Luke then called the main number to Spoon Island and left a message for Stefan (posing as the Port Charles Hotel concierge) from Nikolas, asking that Boris get there to Katy's room ASAP! Someone's about to get caught with their princely pants down!
Speaking of the prince.... Nikolas, Emily, Liz, Lucky, and the ever-silent Lulu had fun taking pictures for Laura's birthday present. Emily started to play Lucky's radio for some mood. Oops. Guess what came out- that cute little song that he wrote and recorded for Liz! Liz and Lucky stopped it and Nikolas suggested that something with a quicker beat would be appropriate. Lucky and he exchanged glances (and grew even closer).
Guess who's back? Duh. Everyone and their mother knew that Sonny was returning. Jason found him on his island in a funk. They fought a little and then Sonny began to open up. Brenda talk. Exchange Jax and Sonny and replay the first week of Jax's dailogue after Brenda's unfortunate accident. Jason finally showed some strong emotion. Much more than the drone-like "I love you"'s that he sends Robin's way. Jason spoke briefly to Carly and the kid while Sonny slept like a baby.
That only leaves the last scene... As everyone left The Outback, Mac finally arrived. He, Robin and Felicia talked as Alan came over. Mac told Alan that the charges against him were dropped, that he looked good (which he actually did) and to stay clean. Alan said great, thank you, and I will. He then asked to talk to Felicia privately about Tammy. As they walked away, the sound of glass breaking was heard. Then shots were fired (quite a few, actually) and everyone hit the ground. We do not know if anyone was hit. There were no previews. Ugh.
