At Monte Carlo, Jax and the Contessa Isabella Castillo AKA V finally began to gamble. They made their grand entrance into the room with giggling and holding hands as planned. (They stopped referring to these shows of affection by number.) Julia's escort told them that he had saved them spots at the high stakes table. Ned and Alexis showed up and Jax was clearly displeased. Later he voiced his displeasure to Ned and Ned explained that he was there to get Julia out of the way. Jax was still not amused. Jax explained that he was afraid that Julia would figure out the scheme since last she saw them, Jax and Ned hated each other. Ned expressed his confidence that he could convincingly act like he still hated Jax. While Ned was explaining to Jax how b**chy Julia can be, the woman herself walked in and immediately kissed Ned on the mouth (Alexis was not pleased). Julia began to attack Jax again and asked how he and Isabella met anyway. The two of them walked off in a huff. Ned proceeded to compliment Julia on her eyes and to explain that Jax was always faithful to Brenda and that maybe this is his way of dealing with his grief. At the gambling table, Jax and Isabella did very well. Isabella wished Jax had let her bring a calculator to figure out how much money it was in dollars. Julia's escort who lost a lot of money to Jax said that he hoped he would have the chance to win it back. Jax said that he would gamble everything including his watch and his clothing, but not his socks because the marble floor is cold. (I have no idea why he said such a thing when he was there with the "very wealthy" Isabella who would surely give him more money if it came to that·) Isabella asked Jax whether he was going to quit while he was ahead and he said the money that he won was nothing yet. In the mean time, Alexis made herself scarce while Ned wooed Julia. Julia finally left and Alexis came out. Julia came back and did not look happy to see Alexis, but she was gracious and seemed to know who Alexis was. Ned started making sexual comments to Alexis and she seemed mollified.

Back in Port-Charles, Helena and Tony were at the grill. Helena started expressing her concerns about the side-effects of the treatments to save Katherine's life. She said that she had not told Katherine about these potential complications so as not to worry her. Tony asked whether Helen wanted him to check Katherine out, then Katherine showed up and Tony left. Helena asked Katherine to tell her everything she had done since Helena had last seen her. Katherine reassured Helena that she was not going to fall back in love with Stefan. She said that she would exact her revenge on Stefan and would not be blamed for it. Helena, noting Katherine's vagueness, asked whether Katherine had a new man in her life, at which point Nikolas showed up. Nik ordered his Grandmother to leave. Helena complied, telling him that she wanted to do what would please her dear grandson. Katherine told Nik that she was supposed to be eating lunch with Helena and that Helena left without eating, but Katherine did not seem upset. Nik told the waiter he'd order for Katherine and Katherine said that she's independent and she orders for herself. Nik said that she'd ask him to order for him. Katherine said she was going to leave. Nik asked what he did wrong. Katherine said he did nothing wrong. If he had done something wrong, she would have stayed.

At General Hospital (yes, we had a scene in the hospital), Jerry asked Amy who the masked man at the Stefan's engagement party was. He said he needed to know because the man was a potential employer. (How is that supposed to make sense?) Amy had no idea. Jerry was leaving when Alan showed up with some records. He told Amy that Tony was sending over the patient whose records they were. Amy wondered why Tony would give Alan the records rather than send them with a messenger. Amy called out to Jerry, who was waiting for the elevator, and told Jerry that Alan had been at the party. Alan said that he had seen the man in Stefan's study during the party.

At Robin and Jason's cottage, Robin came home to find Carly surrounded by new purchases. Robin asked where Michael was and Carly said that she thought he was upstairs with Letticia. Robin expressed her wonderment that Carly wasn't upstairs spending time with him rather than out shopping. AJ showed up and Robin asked him to leave because Michael was in the house. She said to AJ that she knew he didn't need her to explain why. Carly got angry saying that she was entitled to have guests. AJ (who seemed thrilled by all the dissention) said that he would leave. Carly protested more and then walked AJ out and complained to him. AJ mentioned that it was his birthday. Back inside Carly yelled at Robin saying that Robin was making it obvious to AJ that Michael is his son (Robin wasn't). While they were trading insults Jason showed up. Letticia came downstairs with Michael. Apparently Michael had started to cry earlier. Carly was upset that Letticia didn't call her when Michael started to cry. Letticia said she didn't know what to do because AJ was there. Letticia left with Michael for the park. Jason asked what happened and Robin and Carly explained. Carly greatly embellished her description of Robin's conversation with AJ. Robin said Carly lied, basically forcing Jason to side with one woman or the other. Jason yelled at the two of them saying that they have to all get along. Did they understand? Robin said, "I think I do." And she left.

Off in the woods 40 miles outside of Port Charles, Lucky was tending to his sick father. It seems that Luke had come down with a fever. Lucky said that he was going to take his father to the hospital, but instead, he went to the ranger station for some aspirin. In the meantime, a delusional Luke was dreaming about the night in the disco when he raped Laura. The disco scenes were interspersed with the same scenes acted by present-day Luke and Laura in which Laura talked about her relationship with Stefan rather than her relationship with Scotty. In those scenes Lucky was off in the distance looking on disapprovingly. Luke kept waking up and saying, "please don't let me hurt her." Lucky kept promising that he wouldn't. Luke's fever finally broke and Lucky went off to make soup saying, "I don't care whether you eat it."
