General Hospital Update for Monday, 16-Nov-1998

Carly is holding Michael and getting to know him again when Robin enters with her game face on and asks Jason how their trip was. Oblivious to the fact that the tension is so thick it can be cut with a knife, Jason tells her about the dickens of a time they had getting Carly sprung from the clutches of the shrink from hell. Carly thanks Robin for being there for Michael while she was gone and Robin gives her the homecoming present that Bobbie had left for her.
Nicholas and Katherine are steaming it up in her bedroom; kissing each other so passionately that the bed is looking better and better. Katherine has an attack of the guiltys: and realizes that she's not into being on the December end of a May/December romance and tells Nick that she wants to be just friends.
Meanwhile, Stefan is telling Helena that she was the intended victim on the parapet the night of the engagement party; courtesy of an alliance between Luke and Alexis. He tells Mommie Dearest that she can have Luke, but he wants to mete out Alexis' punishment. Helena laughs and says that Luke will stay alive as long as she's alive, because he's the one roadblock to Laura for Stefan.
Jax recovers from the surprise meeting with Julia in the casino and introduces V as the Countess Isabella (praying she doesn't recognize her from PC!!!) Everyone's stunned when Julia hauls off and belts him one on the cheek! "My sister's not even cold a month and here you are!!!" she snaps.
Luke is in serious trouble after being caught in the wolf trap. He cries out in pain and things are starting to look very grim when Lucky comes back in and takes charge of the situation. He gets his dad's leg out of the trap, and realizes that he can't stop the bleeding by himself. He has to get Luke to a hospital.
Carly, Robin and Jason are looking at a photo album filled with pictures of Michael. Robin had made an effort to take a picture of Michael each day for Carly and is obviously annoyed when Carly makes fun of some of the pictures. Carly especially hates the pictures of Michael in his Halloween Pumpkin costume, saying he looked fat, but shuts up when Jason says that's his favorite.
Nick isn't going with Kat's let's be jolly friends theme. "Who looks at you the way I do???" he demands and says that the reason Kat was always around on the island when he was seeing Sara was because she was jealous. Kat, whose eyes are saying yes, yes, yes!!! says that wasn't the case at all. Nick says that he wants to tell his Uncle that "I saw her first" and accuses her of still being in love with Stefan.
Stefan has finished with Helena and radios the launch to take her back to the mainland. Helena accuses him of arranging a date with Laura when suprise!! Laura walks in. Helena leaves after accusing Stefan of having a winter sunlight depravation disorder and suggests a tanning salon.....
Laura begs Stefan to help her find Lucky and Luke. Stefan's not exactly thrilled, but promises to do it for her. As she walks out, he wishes her a happy anniversary. (It's Luke and Laura's wedding anniversary: 17 years!!!! I can't believe it!!!!)
Back at Monte Carlo, Jax and V are discussing leaving after their little tete a tete with Julia (who was handled superbly by V, by the way!!)Jax tells V that Julia's problem is that she never stood up for Brenda when she was alive, but now does it at the drop of a hat. They decide to stick to their original plans.
The show ends with Kat asleep (alone) in bed, when the door to her room opens and Helena walks in. (How did she get by Reggie???) Helena educates Kat on why reconcilliation with Stefan is not a good idea and leaves. Kat thinks for a minute and says "He'll be sorry he ever met me...."
