THE FLOPHOUSE
In room 212, Felicia unpacked her laptop and tried to plug it into a hole in the wall where an outlet should have been. She was startled when a fist pounded on her door and a gruff voice shouted, "Mrs. McCleesh, open up...it's the manager!" No sooner had Flea unlatched the bolt than a knit-capped, leather-jacketed, shade-wearing hoodlum barged in and proceeded to shed layers of clothing while barking his disapproval at Flea in an Australian accent.
The portrait that Mac painted of Flea's new living arrangement was a bleak one: "One minute (the manager) is nice and harmless, and the next minute you're tied to a chair and he's robbing you blind!" Flea assured Mac she could take care of herself and pleaded with him to stop spying on her, especially while wearing nutty disguises. Mac reluctantly agreed and pinned Felicia onto the bed for some snoggling. Flea wriggled out from under him however and told him she had to get to work. Mac left but met Taggert in the hall and told him to keep an eye on Felicia.
WYNDEMERE
The bookcase slid open to allow a figure holding a white death-mask up to his face to exit the tunnel. Stefan asked Jerry where he got the mask. Jerry told him, the safe in Luke Spencer's office. Stefan was pleased but needed assurance that Jerry had covered his tracks. Don't worry, Jerry said, the job looked like a "rubbery."
Stefan gave Jerry a list of 200 ball guests and told him to find out if any of them had witnessed a man wearing a white death-mask leaving Stefan's study on the night of the ball, presumably after planting the dagger.
THE CABIN
Luke and Lucky woke up in their armchairs. Little Bear told Papa Bear he was hungry. Papa Bear said he would fix Little Bear a bowl of chocolate puffs for breakfast, "the ones with little marshmallows and raisins." Little Bear nodded agreeably but shut the kitchen door and locked it when the big guy went in to rummage through cupboards.
Lucky fished a cell phone out of Luke's bag. He called Liz to tell her he was ok while Luke pounded on the door and roared like a grizzly who wakes up in Yosemite Park in March to find a little kid poking him with a tent post. A frightened Liz asked Lucky about the racket. Lucky told her his dad was "having trouble adjusting to their situation." Lucky hung up as Luke crashed into the room, blasting the door completely off its hinges. Lucky paid scant attention to the old man's outburst.
Later, Luke told Lucky to let go of his hatred. The longer Lucky stayed angry, Luke said, the closer he was tied to his father.
LAURA'S HOUSE
Nik showed up to tell Laura that Lucky was missing. Concerned for the safety of Nik, Liz and Emily, Laura picked up the phone to call Jason. Before she could dial the number though, Liz arrived to say that Lucky was with his father. Laura calmed their fears by insisting that Luke would never hurt Lucky. She called it a "family matter" and asked them not to say anything to the police.
THE FLOPHOUSE
Tony approached Alan in the hallway outside room 214 as the poor junkie fumbled with his keys. Tony gave him some papers to fill out and told him to be on time for his first day of work the next morning. The two men looked at each other. Clearly, the image of Alan groping limply for his alarm clock at 7 a.m. was not a pleasant one for Tony.
Suddenly, the door to 212 opened across the hall and that room's peppy occupant poked her head out to investigate. Alan, Tony and Felicia all looked at each other in awkward suprise as if Alan had just farted loudly.
Felicia invited the boys into her room and asked them to promise to keep her identity a secret on Courtland Street. Tony agreed then left. With some prodding, Alan told Flea he would be the "soul of discretion," causing her to wrinkle her eyebrows and ask him what was wrong. Alan confessed he had a "slight" addiction but asked Flea to keep it under wrap. A worried Felicia consented.
