GH for MONDAY SEPT. 21

MORGAN/SCORPIO RESIDENCE--ROBIN & JASON / MAC & TAGGERT
Robin tells Jason that she missed him; wants Brenda back; wonders if the pain of losing Brenda will ever go away. Sheās thankful she has Jason and Michael to help her through this difficult time, poor Jax is all alone. Jason gives Robin a message from Sonny -- hold on to every minute and donāt give up the have found, for anything. Sonny believes Jason made the right choice - choosing Robin & Michael over the ćbusinessä. Jason says he made the only choice he could. They play with Michael and heās adorable, as usual.
Taggert is in Macās office telling him there are problems with Jason - that Morenoās men are all over town and thinks a fight over territory is inevitable. Mac fears for Robinās safety. Mac wonders what else they can get on Jason, to put him away for good. Extortion didnāt work, so....they head off to Jasonās to find out his next move.
Taggert & Mac show up and Taggert begins harassing Jason, who wonders what they want this time. Mac asks if Jason is aware that Moreno is moving into his territory. Tag is being his usual nasty self to Jason - but he gets nothing out of Jason. Mac wants to know when Jason will retaliate - he just wants to get Robin & Michael out of harms way. Just as Mac is telling Jason how sick he is of his code of silence, Robin walks in and is livid. She tells her uncle Mac that she is sick of *him* - for coming over on the night of her best friendās memorial service to harass her family [ouch!]. She tells him itās the last time -- he wonāt have an excuse to persecute Jason anymore -- heās retired. Mac just stares at them in shock.
Taggert tries to provoke Jason again, but Mac tells him to wait outside. Mac asks if it is true. Jason tells him that since he is Robinās uncle, heāll treat him with respect, but he doesnāt like him bullying Robin for being with him, but heāll never answer any of his questions, about what he has done or about his future plans. Mac says he just wants Robin to be safe, but Jason tells him that hurting Robin will not get any cooperation from him. Robin asks to speak with Mac alone. She tells him that she realizes he was using her against Jason and that his justification - that he was just looking out for her - wonāt work anymore. She is saddened that he has such little faith in her and her judgment. She explains to Mac that Jason got into the organization as a way to help Sonny because they were friends and now that he realizes they can have a different life, he has chosen it. But she is tired of trying to convince Mac of this. She tells him she doesnāt care anymore. Mac stands there speechless.
Mac doesnāt want to leave things the way there are with Robin, but she tells him that love canāt fix everything. Mac admits using love as an excuse for his actions. They agree that they donāt want to lose each other. Mac says heāll still worry about Robin - just not as much now. Robin realizes that you have to say things when you have the chance - before itās too late.
In the hallway, Taggert continues to goad Jason, but he finally realizes that Taggert is angry that heāll never get Jason, just like he never got Sonny. Even Taggert knows this is true, but heād never admit it. Then he spots Moreno coming out of Justusās penthouse. What will he do with that information?
WARD RESIDENCE -- JUSTUS & MORENO
Moreno shows up at Justusā door . Tell Justus that Jasonās plan to leave the organization , but remain in town are unorthodox - Moreno wonders where this leaves Justus. Justus tells him that he is weighing his options now, that he is considering returning to conventional law, but Moreno has other plans for him. Justus rebuffs him, even before hearing his offer, but Moreno thinks that Justus will be unable to turn down his offer.
Moreno offers his assistance to Justus - asks him if he wants to run for district attorney. Justus doesnāt think his connections will help him in this regard. Moreno reminds him that he is Jasonās former lawyer, that he *was* a city councilman and still is Bradley Wardās son -- that counts a lot for Port Charles. He also is an attorney that *wins* cases, which is more than that current DA can say for himself. Moreno is willing to support Justus in this endeavor - after all, itās just politics.
JACKS RESIDENCE
The Feds are arresting Jax, while V is questioning their actions, unable to protect her friend. Jax asks her to take Brendaās bracelet from his jacket pocket and put it in a safe place - he doesnāt want it lost in all of the confusion.
PCPD
Jax is led into the police station, followed by V. She asks Garcia where Mac is - she needs his help in clearing up Jaxās false arrest. Jax thanks V for her support and asks her if she can get him alone with Jerry so he can find out what is really going on. V agrees to help. Jax is led into the interrogation room; Garcia tells her that Mac has gone after Jason again and he wonāt be in the mood for interruptions. Garcia keeps giving V the run around and she is very upset that Jax is being questioned on the day of his fianceeās memorial service. Garcia tells her that if heās innocent, she has nothing to worry about.
Jax is being questioned about his fatherās and brotherās company. Jax vehemently denies any illegal activities or that he profited from organized crime. V secretly turns off the tape recording device, which is adjoins the interrogation room. The FBI asks Jax if he is aware that many of the investors in J&J Jax Co. are fronts for the Moreno crime family and a Miami cartel. Jax is starting to get a bit peeved at this point. He was willing to cooperate, but now they seem to be making a willful miscalculation and he refuses to answer any more questions without his attorney present. They lead Jerry into the room and he barely meets Jaxās eyes.
The FBI men continue to questions Jerry about his investors, but he just makes cute remarks to them - he wonāt disclose anything until his lawyer is present. Jax looks worried. THE FBI men tells them that all of their assets have been confiscated while they are being investigated, which shocks Jax. The FBI men leave and V give the sign that Jax and Jerry can speak privately. Jax asks Jerry if their father really took money from the syndicate - Jerry admits that it is true. John got the organizationās help when he couldnāt get a loan elsewhere to start his business. Jerry tells Jax how John pulled the family out of poverty only through involvement with the organization. When the FBI men return, Jerry and Jax stop talking.
V tells Mac about Jaxās arrest and asks if he knew about it. One of the FBI men is angry at V - threatening to take away her badge for tampering with evidence [shutting off the tape recording device]. Mac defends V and rips into the FBI guy. Mac is upset that Jax was arrested, when he wasnāt implicated. FBI guy tells Mac, that since he is friends with Jax, they werenāt sure that Jax
*wasnāt* involved. Taggert admits that he is the one who found the evidence against the Jacks family. After Mac tells the FBI guy to just do his job and not harass his officers, some of them applaud. This really angers V, who wonders how they can applaud Mac after what he has done - selling his friend down the river - and in the suits that they wore to Brendaās memorial service, no less... V finally realizes that most of the officers are in it for commendations and to be in front page of the newspaper - justice has very little to do with it. She is especially upset that Mac did all of this behind her back. She tells him that if she had known, she would have definitely warned Jax, because she knows he is innocent and she vows to prove it.
Felicia visits Mac in his office. She tells him that Bobbie wants to know about Jerry. He tells her that Jerry and John Jax are guilty, but Jax is innocent - but he canāt say the same for himself. Heāll get commendations, but heāll still have a bad taste in his mouth from it all. He tells her he did it all for Robin, that heās stop at nothing to protect her. He admits to using extortion against Justus to get to Jason. Felicia is very surprised at his actions. He explains how they got bank records incriminating John and Jerry, instead of anything against Jason or Justus, and he had no choice but to turn them over to the Feds. Then Brenda died and Mac had not idea that Jax would be arrested -- and the best part -- Robin told him tonight that Jason has voluntarily left the organization, so he brought down the entire Jacks family for nothing. He wished he had known all of this, before he destroyed his friend.
JONES RESIDENCE
Lucas wants to know when Jerry is coming back. Bobbie tells him she doesnāt know, but that grown-up problems are sometimes complicated, as are grown-ups. Bobbie promises Lucas that she will try to find out whatās going on with Jerry, if he goes to sleep, so she calls in a favor from her good friend Felicia.
Bobbie tells Felicia that Jerry was arrested by the FBI - the charge is racketeering. They wonder why Jerry would be working with the organized crime, since he was wealthy. Felicia tells Bobbie that the FBI wouldnāt arrest Jerry unless the had a lot of evidence against him. Bobbie thinks that Jerry is in serious trouble and Felicia wonders about Bobbieās feelings for him. She is more upset for Lucas - she let him get close to another person who isnāt going to be there - how will it affect Lucas?
Bobbie is unable to find anything out about Jerryās situation. Felicia agrees to get information from Mac. Lucas doesnāt want to sleep; he decides to wait up for Jerry, so Bobbie decides to sit up with him.
MUSIC MONTAGE -- ćBittersweet Symphonyä
Felicia comforts Mac and the camera focuses on an older picture of Robin on Macās desk;
Robin and Jason are playing with Michael <Īcause itās a bittersweet symphony, this life - trying to make ends meet, youāre a slave to money, then you die>
Justus is standing on his balcony - thinking about his past and his future; heās got tears welling up in his eyes
Bobbie is sitting on the sofa, Lucas is asleep in her arms; she is crying
Jerry is still being interrogated by the Feds, but heās not talking; heās staring off into space, thinking about what he has done? how is has affected Jax?
Jax is being led out of the interrogation room in handcuffs. V looks up at him, trying to convey her support, the helplessness she feels and her resolve to prove him innocent. He looks back at her, grateful for her support. Then there is a long shot of Jax walking down the corridor - almost in slow motion.
