Sorry it's so late, but here's the update for Sept. 3!!
The action starts with Mac planning for some romantic time alone with his bride. Felicia comes down the stairs with the pyramid that Lucy gave them for their wedding. Mac gets a good laugh when Felicia tells him that she hopes it helps inspire her in writing the crime novel she's planning.
Felicia gets down to work on the laptop when Maxie and Georgie come in the room and of course need mom right that minute!! "Do you play the game rock, paper and scissors?" Maxie asks Mac. "Sure, I play it with Detective Taggart all the time!" Mac grins. He gets the kids out of Felicia's way by taking them to the kitchen to play "snack, candy and beverage".
Laura is freaked out when she comes upon Justice standing in her rose garden. She's even more spooked out when she sees that he's in a strange mood; talking about seeing Granny Mae's rose garden one last time and how his father is buried under the bushes. He tells Laura how Mary Mae said that roses were proof that people had souls, and Laura's finally getting the hint that he's trying to make peace with her and he's tortured with the trade-offs he's made to cover up the Damian Smith murder. One does get the feeling that she's enjoying the payback.
Back at Felicia and Mac's house, Filly is having a first-class case of writer's block. Of course it doesn't help that the kids are having major crises that only Mommy can deal with; Maxie losing her shoes and Georgie chowing down on beer pretzels. (She hid Maxie's shoes in the pretzel box!!!)
Taggart is drooling over Justice's taped cofession when there's a knock at the door. It's Dara, with some lame excuse about not signing paperwork. Once she sits on his couch, Dara can't take her eyes off Taggart's studly body in his bathrobe. One thing leads to another, and soon they're off to the races!!
Jax meets with Veronica's Swiss shrink in Monica's office, who tells him everything he needs to know about her mental condition. It's not a pretty picture!!
Meanwhile, Brenda is setting the table for a romantic evening with Jax when she opens the door to find Veronica, who sincerely loves Brenda's house and what she's done with it. She gives her daughter an expensive piece of silk (that's what it looked like) and they bond over memories of life with Harlan.
Bobbie drops by Felicia's to catch up and is amused to hear she's writing a crime novel like Kevin. Felicia's pleased for the opportunity to take a break and hears the latest on Jerry Jax with Bobbie.
Justice is on the next leg of his I'm sorry tour (kind of like Clinton!!) and stops by the Quartermain mansion to apologize to Edward. Justice tells him that he's taking the blame for the Damian Smith mess and doesn't blame his cover-up on Edward anymore. Edward is touched and begs Justice to come back to ELQ, and says that Justice is probably the wisest person in the family. Justice is touched too, but knows that it wouldn't work out.
Laura is relieved that Justice finally took off, but is stunned when she gets another surprise visitor: Katherine Bell!!! Cut to Taggart and Dara in bed. Taggart is purring like a cat when Dara asks him to burn the tape with Justice's confession on it. (I'll want to see if great sex mellows Taggart!!!) Mac is doing anything to sneak a peak at Filly's novel, when she lets him read the first paragraph. Stunned at how steamy it sounds, he's impressed and wants her to write more.
The show ends with Mary Mae singing, Edward thinking and Jax coming to Brenda's house. He's got the full goods on Veronica and know's he has to break it to Brenda. Brenda knows it's bad and steals herself for the worst...
