I have two things to apologize for (okay, there are probably more
than two, but two's my daily limit <g>):

1. Sorry this is late. Life interfered.

2. In my time zone, GH was pre-empted for about 10 minutes
toward the end of the show. I did catch the last couple of minutes
though, and I don't think I missed anything too earth-shattering.

At the PCPD:

Officer Rick welcomes "Mr and Mrs Commissioner" back from their
honeymoon, and explains to Mac that everyone's at the mayor's
speech (hence, the near-empty squadroom) and then lunges at
the ringing phone. Felicia accuses Mac of "grinning like a
honey-mooner". They exchange some mild sexual banter and
Filly leaves.

Taggert enters and Mac asks him for the Cassadine file. And as
Mac heads out of earshot, Taggert calls Monica and orders her
to drop by the PCPD.

Robin enters and asks Mac about his honeymoon. They exchange
pleasantries, and then Robin tells Mac that she's moving in with
Jason. Mac is, of course, less than thrilled and Robin repeats
her standard mantra: I grew up with danger all around me...
Anna, Duke, Robert, yadda, yadda. Mac replies that it isn't exactly
comforting that she's taking her life lessons from 3 dead
people.

At the Trial:

Alexis tells Stefan that Kat's will is a forgery. "By whom?" Stefan
asks. Alexis replies that there was only one fingerprint, and they're
having it cross matched against Helena's and Luke's prints. She then
asks about Nikolas taking the stand: "Does he know anything that
I don't know?" "Of course not," Stefan replies.

At the Spencer household:

Luke, Laura and Bobbie are preparing for Lulu's birthday. Laura is
hopeful that Lucky will come. Luke tells her that he's at Audry's.
There's a knock at the door and it's Nikolas, with gift in hand.
Luke glares at him and leaves to sit on the front porch.

On the porch, DeadKat appears. She says she wishes they were
10-20 stories up, because she'd give him the heave-ho this time.
"I was after Helena, not you," Luke replies. "A lotta good that
does me now," Kat says. She drones on about how Luke spoiled
all her dreams and then mentions how he forged her will (lest
we all forget that plot point which has already been brought up
several times). Luke explains that he did that to frame Helena.
Kat yaks about how her money would've "set Stefan free" from
Helena-- but "Stefan will surprise you", she warns. And
like the Cheshire Kat of boredom, she disappears, leaving only
a snoozing audience behind....

Bobbie appears on the porch and consoles Luke about Nik. "Don't
let Nikolas get to you," she advises. Just then, Nikolas leaves,
telling Laura that he hopes Lulu will get her birthday wish.

When Nik is out of earshot, Luke asks what that wish was. "That
both of her brothers would come to her birthday party," Laura
replies. Laura re-enters the house, and Luke asks Bobbie to
"change the subject", so she tells Luke about her birthday party
with Jerry Jax.

At the PCPD:

Jax enters while Mac and Robin continue to argue. Mac explains
to Robin that Jason does the kind of things that Robert and
Anna fought against. "I love Jason," Robin repeats. "I want
him to love you enough to live inside the law," Mac replies,
"and until he does, I'm gonna come after him." Robin considers
herself warned, and they hug.

Jax approaches Mac with the ripped photos of Brenda and himself.
He's concerned that one of Brenda's fans has snapped and he
asks Mac to check for prints. Mac agrees.

Meanwhile, outside the interrogation room:

Taggert asks Monica if the recognises the guy giving his statement
[the guy being questioned is Alan's drug dealer]. Monica says 'no'.
Taggert tells her who he is, and Monica thinks he's lying, but looks
worried nonetheless. She concedes that it might be true, but
Alan's getting help right now, so he's not his dealer at the moment.
Taggert expresses his doubts that Alan's telling her the truth.
He turns on the audio so Monica can hear The Dealer explain how
"this doctor" bought him fine clothes so he could meet him in
respectable places. Monica tells Taggert he's made his point.
Taggert asserts that The Dealer's statement can either wind
up on the record, or "in the river"... it's up to her. He wants
more info on Jason, and he reminds her of the ramifications if
The Dealer's testimony were made public. He leaves while
Monica mulls over her decision.

Mac enters the hallway and sees Monica. He asks if there's anything
he can do for her. "Maybe," Monica says. She starts to tell Mac
about Alan's addiction and Taggert's blackmail. Mac assures her
he'll talk to Taggert and Monica leaves.

Back at Lulu's Birthday:

Luke doesn't think Lucky's going to show up with him there, and offers
to leave. Laura tells him to stay, and we see Lucky and Liz approaching
the house. Lucky tells Liz that he just wants to put in a quick
appearance and leave. They enter and Laura is thrilled.

At the Trial:

Dara calls Nik to the stand. The baliff asks for his name, and
he replies "Nikolas Cassadine". Alexis whispers to Stefan that
she's glad Nik left out his royal title. "What is your full name
with title" Dara asks, forcing Nik to state his royal pedigree:
"Prince Nikolas Mikhail Stravrosovich Cassadine". Dara continues
to address him as "prince", until Alexis objects. Dara goes on to
ask leading questions about Laura: the trunk, the portrait, and
the increased contact with his mother. Nik defuses every bomb,
and waves off the notion that Stefan wanted the portrait for
himself. She questions him about Katherine: When did Nik
last speak to her, and when did he see her last? Nik says
he saw Kat on the stairs leading to the North tower about
2 minutes before she fell. [Meanwhile, Stefan realizes
that Nik saw Laura on the stairs and mistook her for Kat. This
blows a major hole in the defenses' statement that Stefan
and Kat argued for several minutes before her fall... ].

At Lulu's Party:

Liz and Lucky give Lulu her gifts. There's some awkward conversation
between Lucky, Luke and Bobbie and then Liz apologizes for wounding
Lucky. Laura and Luke accept her apology.

At this point, the special report pre-empted about 10 minutes
of the program. When we return to GH:

Alexis is asking Stefan whom he is protecting, and then realizes
that it's Laura.

And the final shot that day is of Luke and Laura sitting on the porch...

End of update!
