UPDATE THURSDAY JULY 30

1. STUPORCOUPLE
Jax offers champagne as a congratulations for Brenda's
acquisition of L&B.  Brenda doesn't sip.  She tells him she thinks
she's pregnant.  Jax, obviously not a genius, asks "is that possible?"
[Viewers have been subjected to proof that it IS possible for months.
Someone teach that boy the facts of life!]  He is pleased.  Brenda is scared.
She's worried about her own mother abandoning her.

We see someone cutting out their pictures from a magazine.

2. OF ALL THE NERVE!

Elizabeth comes in and sees Mr. Murty talking to her grandmother.  He
gives her her grades.  He told Audrey about her "crush" on him.  Mr.
Murty expects thanks, but she's angry.  Later she complains to Lucky:
"Do you know what he did? He PASSED me!"  She's furious.  "Some way I'm
gonna get him back!"  Lucky thinks maybe this indicates that she's
already won.

Liz is afraid.  They hug.  She leaves, telling Lucky she's going home.

3. CASSADINES ON TRIAL

Nik comes downstairs and Stefan is having breakfast. Nik asks once more
that Stefan stay away from Laura.  Count Ostrich says no.  Stefan has
another Katherine flashback.

Alexis [wearing  what looks like a chenille bedspread suit] is practicing
her opening statement and Luke comes by.  He tells her that Katherine's
last will is a forgery and he has proof.  Alexis says it's going to get
Stefan in more trouble.  Luke has Helena's fingerprints, from the
pictures of Laura she doctored up. Luke knows that only "Blondie" knew what
the will said.  He has a flashback to a day at the bar when Katherine told
him this.  Alexis says "What a stunning stroke of luck... she confided in
you."
Luke: "I have just that kind of face."
Alexis: "You have two of that kind of face."

Stefan tells Nik not to bring up Stefan's trip to North Carolina to see
Laura.  Stefan talks about thinking of Katherine often.  He warns Nik
about Helena.  He tells Nik that Helena claims Alexis loosened the railing.

Alexis comes in.  She tells then to change their clothes.  Defendents
can't wear black, it looks dark and sinister.  "You look like an undertaker."
Nik is to look less mature.  She exchanges the wills while they are out.
When they return she says "You look -- AVERAGE."  Stefan smiles, "and so
it begins.  All the little humiliations."

4. MONICA IS BLACKMAILED

Monica goes to see Taggart.  She calls him a blackmailer.  He sasses her,
then finally tells her he wants her to get something on Justus.  He wants
Justus on jury tampering.

Justus is telling the unions to go full speed ahead on the docks
project.  Monica knocks.  She tells him she wants him to help. She has in
mind setting up a trust for Michael.
