Wow, very happy to be back in the update chair, [many thanks to Laurel for
the tape!] BUT what an episode. I am relieved someone already posted
transcriptions because I don't think I could ever do this justice. Please
forgive all spelling mistakes and the like. I am trying desperately
to get this done before I go out of town on business.

-Bren gives Robin info @ her upcoming photo shoot They discuss Bren's
lack of interest in modeling. [updater yawns]
-Sonny enters Luke's office to say goodbye. [updater barely noticed he
was in town at all, what was the point?]
-Stefan comes to visit Alexis in her hotel suite. He tells her about the
investigators he hired to prove Spencer's guilt in Katybell's death.
-Carly jubilantly tells the orderly that she is going home that night and
is surprised when Tony enters the room. [I really liked the scene, but it
just came out of nowhere] They spar and jab, Tony compares her room
with a jail cell. She tells him she is going home and he calls her deluded,
Jason and Robin are doing to her what she and Jason did to him [Tony]
except that they don't need to keep it a secret since she is locked up.
-Stefan suggests that Alexis pump Luke for info. Alexis denies she has
ever been friendly with Luke and suggests they look at Helena as a more likely
killer. Stefan points out that if Helena did it, she hired help.
-Luke and Sonny continue their fond farewells. Didn't do much for me
since they basically spent no time together while Sonny was in town. There
are lots of veiled references to Sonny's regrets over Brenda and how Luke
should never wish himself away from Laura. Laura walks in and Sonny leaves.
Laura tells Luke she is afraid their relationship will end unless they discuss
'that bad night' from 20 years ago.
-Carly pounds on her door demanding that Tony be thrown out. Tony keeps
lobbing shots at her by speculating on Jason's and Robin's 'glow' and
obvious, intimate, physical relationship. He then speaks of Robin raising
Carly's son, taunts her a bit more and leaves. Carly seethes and looks worried.
-Sonny sees Bren at the docks meeting Jax. He looks stricken and walks away.

-[note to readers: I cannot possible tell you how good this scene was] Laura
tells Luke of Liz's visit and how the pain in Liz's eyes brought all her
memories flooding back. Her bruises, her torn blouse and how Luke turned
into a terrifying stranger. She had been so sure he would never do anything
to hurt her--but he did. She demands to know how he could claim to love
her, call her Angel and then rape her. Luke mourns that there is nothing
he can say, no apology he can make that could erase the fact that he raped
her. He has been waiting for years to be punished for this horrible thing
but the punishment never comes. [the acting here was just exquisite]
Laura then recalls her feelings of self blame for flirting with him, for
dressing
for him but never admitting her feelings to him. Now she knows she wasn't
to blame for the rape, but since he never blamed her for her actions
leading up to the rape she felt like she could forgive him. They could
forgive each other. She asks him if he must stop loving her in order to
teach himself a lesson.

-Then in a frightening change of scene and intensity we see Jax and Brenda
making out and discussing Jerry. [I'm sure someone out there cares but
no one in my house did]
-Then to the penthouse so that we can watch Sonny say goodbye to Carly's
baby while Jason and Robin look on approvingly like proud parents. [snore]
Sonny eventually gets around to saying goodbye to everyone and leaves.
_ Carly's therapist/doctor arrives and tells her she'll be transferred to a
county facility so that she can stand trial. Carly insists he is wrong, he
leaves looking concerned about her mental health. She talks to herself:
I can't go to prison, I'm suppose to be crazy. Apparently it never occurs
to her that crazy people are frequently not released from mental institutions.
-Stef stands on the docks and remembers a time when he heard Helena
threaten Katybell, while he hid listening instead of rushing to the
defense of his one true love.

-Luke tells Laura he'll never stop loving her and Laura defends her right
to love him. She points out that few ever *deserve* love and that only
he sees her as some kind of angel. She asks Luke to forgive himself and
come home. [incredible, simply incredible. do what I did, beg, grovel,
plead--but find someone who has this on tape and see it!]
-Helena visits Alexis and throws up her bungled attempt at murder in her face.
Apparently the fact that Alexis tried to kill her once and might do it again
taking a more sure and direct route doesn't occur to the fool.
-Robin, Jason, and AJ's baby are at the penthouse window together looking
like the perfect picture of family bliss. Sonny gets in a limo and leaves.
You should be feeling very sorry for him; if only he had appropriated
someone's baby and gotten a girl he could be as happy as they are---at
least that was the subtle message I was getting from the writing.
-Laura says she is ready to go home and then see where they go from there.
As for what happened 20 years ago--she is ready to let it be. They embrace
tenderly and leave to go home.

Wow am I a lucky updater or what? This more than makes up for
the dreck I updated all spring.

1/2 the tuesday update team [btw who is my other half now??!?]
