From: cordet@munged.mindspring.com (maryb) Subject: GH: Update Wednesday 6/10 Date: Sat, 20 Jun 1998 18:23:33 -0500 X-Server-Date: 20 Jun 1998 23:18:29 GMT Lucky and Liz dished over finals; he brought her to see his new, humble abode. A boxcar. They set about making it more homey. Extremely homey, with blue paint and trompe d'oil to make up for the lack of furnishings. They celebrated with a paint-fight. Amy was relieved when Monica claimed to have all the clues about the nurse's relationship with Alan, until it became obvious that Alan had fed his wife yet more lies. Later, Amy confronted Alan and wanted to know why he told his wife about her supposed crush on him. He apologized, and said he made that up because Monica thought the two were having an affair. Amy threatened to expose his drug problem then and there, but Alan successfully begged her silence, at least until the Nurses' Ball. Ned, AJ and Edward were in a meeting - kind of, as they were minus Alan. Instead of business, the talk turned to Dead Katybell. Edward wanted to tribute her; Ned suggested Serenity play a role. Great idea! says Ed, and then they all got stunned when Emily showed up with a sparkling new navel ring and crimped hair. Edward accused Ned of being a bad influence, and when Monica entered, was disappointed that she doesn't immediately send Emily up to her room or back to the cosmetologist. Instead, Monica was totally unfazed, brought Em out to the patio, and told her it's understandable that the girl would do something wild on the anniversary of her biological mother's death. Em said it wasn't that at all - she just wanted to be different, and Monica gave her the patented "of course you're special" parental speech. And they ended up talking about Paige, anyway. After a pull-in hug, Emily grabbed her neck; Monica noticed and asked if she was in any pain. Nope, says Em, just studying too hard. At this, Alan arrived and whigged out over his daughter's new appearance. Monica put the kibosh on his speech and, after Emily split, reminded him of the date. When he was feeling as miserable as possible, Emily came back out to the patio and he apologized. Back inside, Edward dropped a load of paperwork in his son's lap and said they were all the hospital changes he wanted completed while Stefan was out of the picture. Alan was confused, AJ was sympathetic. Alan popped a pill after AJ left the room. Emily made plans to head down to the water with Monica, and then, after experiencing a twinge of neck pain, she too popped a hyrdrocodone. Ned tried to get hold of Alexis on the phone and left a message, the same one he left last time. Alexis showed up at PCPD and demanded the police leave Nik out of their questioning. The young man in question was in the interrogation room with Stefan, expressing his worry about Uncle's legal troubles. He offered to refuse to speak. Taggert led Stefan out, and Alexis gave her nephew some prep talk. Also at the precinct, Filly took out her pad and started taking notes, while watching Taggert question a perp. When Mac questioned her, later, on the note-taking, she said she was going to be like Kevin Collins and write a book. In the interrogation room, Mac and Dara were getting nowhere with Nik, until DA Dara asked if his uncle was interested in any other women. The PD smelled blood and dove in, but Nik deflected it successfully. Later, Stefan got the scoop from Alexis, who demanded he hire her as his lawyer. He acquiesced. This time last year: Ruby set Bobbie up, to facillitate a reunion between her and Luke. Sonny and his goons busted into Dorman's apt, as he was about to grab his drug stash from the hospital, and threatened his livelihood. Emily was in the hospital, nearly catatonic, and the whole family was out for Dorman's blood. Tony was beginning to see Carly in a very different light.
