From: earlye@ccnet.com (Angela Earlye) Subject: GH: Update for Tuesday June 2, 1998 Date: 7 Jun 1998 00:24:27 GMT GH: Update for Tuesday June 2, 1998 ABOARD THE ISABELLA Jax has a surprise for Brenda (what a surprise) - the Isabella - a yacht with some significance to their almost-wedding two years ago. Brenda assumes he's plotting their wedding, and doesn't want to rain on his romantic parade, but she doesn't want to rush the wedding. She wants to plan it so that it can be perfect. But, he wasn't interested in marrying her this moment anyway...it's a celebration of their un-anniversary. He teases her playfully for her presumptions. They play out cutsie scenes where she finds ring box in the cake. She eats around it and there's a ring inside. The ring inside belonged to Josephine, given to her by Napoleon. Jax didn't buy it for the legend...but because pink was her color. They kiss. Brenda vows never to take off the ring. They make love. (Is it me, or is their relationship one big surprise gift after another?). JASON'S PENTHOUSE: Jason is reading to Michael from a travel book on Italy when Bobbie comes to visit. Bobbie, knowing of Carly's fears about being replaced by Robin in her son's heart, gently reminds Jason that Carly is Michael's mother. Jason assures her that he is doing everything to keep Carly alive for Michael. He won't let him forget her. Bobby thinks it's time Jason start planning for the future and thinking about problems that may arise once Carly is freed. Bobby knows that Carly has developed feelings for Jason beyond their friendship, and she tells him so. Carly wants with him what he has with Robin. It's clear this hasn't occurred to Jason! Jason explains that all he and Carly do is fight when they have sex and he doesn't want Michael exposed to that. He will stand by the deal they made when Carly showed up at his door asking for help. (Bobby seems a little puzzled at how Jason put this.) His relationship with Robin won't change that. Jason seems to think that when Carly is released she'll just move in with him and Robin (That boy IS brain damaged isn't he!).... but Bobby explains that it's highly unlikely that the arragement will work, for anyone! Jason: Why, there's plenty of room Bobby: For two bodies maybe, but not for two hearts. Bobby knows someone will end up being hurt and she thinks that someone is Robin. He's not going to be able to have Robin, Carly and Michael all living in the house with everyone living happily ever after. Robin's attachment to Michael is growing everyday and there won't be a simple solution when Carly comes home. She tells him to start thinking about it. AT THE PC PD HQ Stefan is upset that he has to wear prison blues and wants his "manacles" removed. But Garcia reminds him he is not lord of the manor at the Port Charles jail. Nick has to see him, as he is, a prisoner, under arrest. When Nick inquires about Stefan's well being and about the food he replies, "Mrs. Lansbury would weep!" LOL. Nick is nervous about how to deal with the police when they question him. He doesn't know want to say anything that will implicate Stefan or bring Laura into it. But Stefan doesn't think the police would have any reason to question him about Laura. But Nick knows that the ring and dress belong to Laura and fears what will happen to Stefan if the police learn that Katherine wasn't his first choice. It will give them a motive for murder. And of course, there was the fight they were having before Katherine fell. Stefan, knows he didn't do it but doesn't have much confidence in the cops to see that. He tells Nick to not volunteer such information but not to jeopardize himself by withholding information or lying if asked. Nick thinks it's great news that Helena has disappeared but Stefan isn't happy about it. To him, Helena's dangerous when she's invisible and believe she has retreated to plot her next move. He knows Helena wants the Cassadine future (maybe they should actually show Helena doing something dastardly and vicious once in a while other than a few threats and then maybe I can see her as some grand villainess.) Stefan wants Nick to stay close to Alexis. He trusts her love for him. LUKE'S OFFICE Alexis is angry because Luke has framed Stefan. Alexis: Framing my brother for murder was not part of our understanding Luke: No that was something I understood I was doing on my own Alexis: So the night that we planned to murder Helena, you planned this all along, right? Luke: No no I didn't. It was a generous gift of fate and I would have been stupid and ungracious not to accept it. Luke knew she wouldn't have gone along with that plan so he didn't bother informing her about it. And as for Katherine...she's just a casualty of the war and he can't ease Alexis' pain by showing her heart wrenching guilt or remorse. She doesn't think he has any! She vows not to let Stefan pay for their crime. Luke tells her, it's Stefan's butt or hers. Besides he doesn't really think she could have held up to police scrutiny if Helena had bitten the dust and she'd been taken downtown for questioning. Luke: I know you well enough to know that two hours of grilling by the cops downtown and you'd a been singing plea bargain like Flo, the lost Supreme. Luke things Alexis has actually gotten everything she wanted, by default. Katherine is out of the way, Helena is on the lam and Stefan is about to move her from the dog house to the spare room. (That man does have a way with words!) Alexis is worried about the state of her life, and Helena seeking retribution. Luke tries to pep her up.... she's holding all the cards. And she should concentrate on that and use it to her advantage. Alexis: You're revolting! Luke: I like you too! But I like you better when you're not playing the sniveling sap. Come on Natasha it's payback time! Luke continues to play up the possibilities of what's laying right at her feet..queen bee of the Cassadine clan. He wonders if she will get Stefan off and spend the rest of her life groveling and hoping for his gratitude or will she bury him and finally be her own woman. But Alexis regrets her involvement with Luke. And no amount of trying to convince her that they share a common purpose will make her a believer. She wants Katherine alive, but he could care less. Luke: Believe it or not, Katherine was ok with me. She wasn't very bright but that wasn't her fault. (LOL) Luke blames Stefan for Katherine's death and every other illness in the world and tells Alexis that she needs to get over him because Stefan will kill her if he ever finds out how Katherine really died. AT THE CLUB Tony is about to make his exit but Luke tells him that pariah's are welcome in his club. Tony thanks him for the rare kindness. Luke brings up the fact that he went to the ball with Helena. But Tony tells Luke that he was ditched by Helena, which tells him how much of a pariah he really is. A full glass is his best friend these days... Tony still maintains that taking Michael was the right thing to do but admits he regrets taking Robin hostage. That was never his intention. Luke is way understanding these days, considering his recent activities. Bobby walks in and sees her brother and ex husband bonding. She's not amused. Luke reminds her that he's in a business...he serves booze not judgement. But Luke feels sorry for him...Tony's not free. He's lost everything and everyone he loved. Bobbie: Oh I see. It wasn't sympathy. It was empathy. Bobbie had hoped that Laura being home would help! He explains that the reunion was rocky, and Lucky's rejection cut Laura deeply, as did the reason for it. Laura was furious that Luke kept so many secrets. Bobby's isn't sympathetic. As far as she's concerned, Laura's been gone a year and now she's kicked Luke out the house. (As far as Bobbie is concerned) Laura married Luke after the worse so one would think she'd give Luke the benefit of the doubt on this.... "as if she's never kept a secret in her life!" BACK AT THE PC PD HQ Alexis arrives at the jail to see Stefan and Nick makes his exit. Robin is there to offer up her support because she knows how painful to see someone she loves in jail. She offers comfort. Nick thinks Mac's involvement with Katherine in the past might stop him from getting to the truth today. Robin defends her Uncle Mac! Nick is worried about "Stefan's peers' judging him harshly and thinks the people have viewed the Cassadine's with suspicion and envy since they arrived. But Robin has faith in justice system (OH PULEASE). Even though Stefan comes off cold and aloof Nick says it's just the family upbringing up. They were taught not to show public displays of emotion and he fears nobody will see behind that wall. Robin cheerleads more for the justice system and Nick thanks her for all her help. She promises to be there for him if he needs her. Alexis and Stefan talk about Nicholas and how he's handling it. Alexis wants to handle Stefan's defense. She knows him, and that knowledge of him can save his life. No one can represent him better than she can. Alexis: Trust me with your life! Stefan doesn't think he'll need her. The charges are ludicrous. But he wants Alexis to take care of Nick and beware of Helena. Alexis tries to points the finger at Helena with regards to Katherine's death. Stefan has not ruled Helena out and that's why he wants her to protect the prince. She promises that she'll keep Nicholas safe. Stefan trust her with that... and only that. Alexis calls in Nick and basically tells him to put his faith in Alexis....and tells her that the future of the Cassadines is in her hands. JASON'S PENTHOUSE Robin returns home. Jason is deep in thought. He has been thinking about what Bobbie has said. But Robin doesn't want to worry about the future. She wants to wait and see what life brings them this time.
