UPDATE THURSDAY MAY 14

This was the day of the Great Romances. Or at least Guza's idea of
Great Romances.

I. First, we have that quirky couple, Mac and Felicia!

In the Canadian Rockies (uh-HUH) Mac comes in, apologizing
for making noise, and asking if Felicia is awake. He talks to the
door: "Look, I personally don't think that what happened last night is
anything to get your shorts in a bind about. [Isn't the Aussie for
this "knickers in a knot"?] ... damned if I know the difference
between being engaged and what we are." Just then, Felicia comes in
with bags of shopping. She thought he went fishing, she says.

The shopping turns out to be clothes and things for Maxie and Georgie.
She has a bus schedule for Rochester. She really thought he'd left. She
yells at him for going and changing everything. They indulge in the usual
witty banter and Your Fearless Updater zones out. They don't go hiking, and
they argue about which one started "it" (the kiss) last night. Finally
they agree there's only one thing to do! Felicia does it. She makes a funny
face.

POOF! They are back in Port Charles and show up in Luke's. They are
going to come up with a story. Taggart and Dara come over to see
why they are back from their dream vacation. They say allergies
brought them back. Felicia mentions the book "General Homicide"
but doesn't like being "weepy and passive" in the book.

II. STUPORCOUPLE

On the Train from Hell, Jax is calling Addie (who is conveniently
back, now that V. has found greener pastures!) Larry, an unhappy
husband, comes in and sits with Jax and asks him "How do you keep from
hating her?" Brenda comes in wearing dark glasses. She is sick of
hearing about unhappy marriages, the tales of horror from
happily-ever-afterville. [Just last week she was telling Jason fairy
tales, though.]

An unhappy wife wants Brenda to pretend that Jax is interested in her.
"Slap my face. Hard." Brenda's Line of the Day is "I'm sorry, I can't
start slapping strangers till I finish up with the people that I know."
Brenda tells her she understands the obsession. Been There, Done That.

Jerry, on the phone to Jax, pretends the connection is bad.

Brenda won't play the game. The Unhappy Wife gets annoyed. Brenda
leaves and Jax thinks she has left the train. She only had gone shopping
for a model train to go with the yacht. She's not going to take
happiness for granted any more.

III. The Law Triangle

Jerry is at Luke's. Dara comes in and grimaces at Helena's picture.
Luke sits with her. She's meeting someone. They talk about the painting:
"They were out of kittens and butterflies?" He buys her coffee while
Taggart and Justus come in. They both have a meeting with Dara. Tony
comes in. He tells Luke he's afraid to try to be served anywhere else.
[Continuity Error of the Day: on Monday he had complained to Val that no
one would serve him.) He tells Luke: "I'm wearing a shirt. I'm wearing
shoes. I'd like a menu please." [Your Fearless Updater is disappointed in
Luke, since Tony has been really bad to Spencers of late.] Luke asks if
Tony regrets it. Tony says if he weren't on disability he doesn't know
how he'd earn a living, and if he weren't in P.C. he doesn't know how
he'd ever see his son again, even accidently, and his picture and
fingerprints are all over the country, but no, he'd do it all again.

Tony and Luke discuss the drug clinic. Tony misses Lucas. Lucas can
seek him out on his own. When Tony sees Mac, he decides to sneak out the
back. He sees Helena's picture and wonders what Helena wants with him.

Taggart and Justus discuss how awful Jax's brother is. Jerry is sitting
with Dara and trying to find out what they are doing about Jason. Jerry
leaves, winking at her as she waves Taggart and Justus over.

She has called this meeting because of the Internal Affairs hearing. She
would like to compromise. Taggart keeps inserting smart-alecky
comments. Justus is determined. Taggart tells Dara he hopes for private
tutoring for the IAD meeting.

IV. KAT AND BAT

Katherine is fussing over the dress. Stefan comes in. She asks about
the last Cassadine wife to wear it, Bobbie? "No, that was hardly cause
for celebration." No this time he's proclaiming the woman he loves to
the world. The phone rings, for Katherine. Stefan leaves and Nik comes
in. He's upset about the dress. "Did he tell you this dress has a history?"

Later Nik is looking at the dress and Stefan comes in and Nik asks her
why Stefan is making her wear Laura's dress. Stefan explains it's a
Cassidine dress. Why would Helena call it Lasha's dress.

Nik tells Stefan Robin is coming. She's just a friend no matter what Nik
wants.

Katherine is upset over the cost of the flowers. She tells Stefan she's
worried that Nik doesn't approve.
