Subject: Date: 5/21/98 7:02 AM From: Jan Yarnot, jyarnot@netcom.com UPDATE THURSDAY MAY 7 HEROES 1. LUCKY Lucky [Your Fearless Updater initially thought it was AJ] climbs into Liz' room and adjusts the shade. Liz brings in brownies. They discuss how she's tired of being afraid of the rapist. He's worried that she's too engrossed with revenge. [Luke would disown him for such un-Spencerish thoughts! As would "let's lure Damian to the catacombs" Aunt Bobbie!] Lucky says it's like his Dad. "Is that right? Does it help anything?" Liz wonders if they're not like other people. He's been sharing a room and he's the only person she can stand for more than a few minutes. Liz asks: "What's your Mom like?" "People take to her right away. When you talk to her, it's like she understands everything. She impresses the Hell out of you. It's like everything she says is true and right, even when it isn't." Lucky is mad that he didn't get told about Nik. "The most important things she doesn't talk about unless she has to." Liz wonders if Laura understands something Liz never will. Lucky asks her if she could ever marry her rapist. She says there's no comparison, since she didn't know him. She says Laura's experience was more like "date rape." Lucky wonders if Laura really forgave Luke. Liz says she can't imagine marrying her rapist. Maybe she could get to the point of not hating him every minute of every day, but marry him ... no way. Liz is sorry she didn't go to the police right away. Lucky reminds her that: "We're not technically sure it's Mr. Murty." She considers trapping him. They argue about it. Liz goes to bed. Later she has nightmares and Lucky holds her. 2. JAX Jax is at the Police Station after looking for Brender all day. Mac offers him a SWAT military helicopter. Mac will call in favors. Jax tells Mac how cold it is out there. Felicia brings food. She says they'll find Brenda. Jax describes the area and the dangers. Robin overhears. Jax apologizes. Felicia talks to Robin. Robin says she's made a mistake. She was afraid of losing Jason, and now look she's lost him. She keeps forgetting that she's alive. She swears she's going to take the chance to be together if she gets it. Felicia gives a worried Mac a neck rub. He doesn't know what to tell Robin. "That punk ... if he's got a scratch on him I'll beat him to a bloody pulp." Jax, too, is having second thoughts about his relationship with Brenda. Jerry and Jax are going up in the copter. 3. JASON, BRENDA [Your Fearless Updater was stunned to LIKE Brenda in these scenes!] Brenda's hip hurts. She looks for Jason. He was out looking for water, but they have to go lower. He's brought berries. They argue about who'll taste them (he's worried that she'll get dysentery, she that he wouldn't be able to hunt for food and water.) She pigs out on the berries. She doesn't want "Model dies of starvation" as an obituary. After 45 minutes she says she won't get sick and Jason says that's great now that all the berries are gone. Brenda is optimistic that they will find water. Jason is pragmatic. She tells him they need hope. She makes a deal, she will be optimistic and hope for the best and he can expect the worst. Brenda hopes Jax is being careful. It begins to rain. They discuss staying dry and collecting water in their shoes. Jason says Jax will get bored with the search and Brenda says he won't. Jason wants Brenda to talk so they can stay awake. They talk about Michael. She finds it hard to believe Jason reads Michael adult stuff. She tells about her own dad and how she was fat, etc. A plane flies high overhead and they bicker. Jason reminds her of the deal, since her optimism is wavering. Brenda tells Jason about fairy tales. He doesn't understand the concept. He wonders about the pumpkin. [The actors looked like they were having a lot of fun with these scenes.] "If I saw someone wearing glass shoes, I'd think she was pretty special." He talks about the glass breaking, and it not fitting anyone. Brenda decides to try Rapunzel instead. Jason asks how Rapunzel could wash her hair or go to the bathroom. Brenda gives up. He's hopeless.
