From: ninapie@ntcnet.com Subject: GH: UPDATE for Monday 4, 1998 Date: 13 May 1998 03:17:18 GMT General Hospital UPDATE for Monday, May 4, 1998-- ***still looking for volunteers to take over as Monday Updater-- Please e-mail if you're interested!*** Alexis' apartment-- Luke realizes that Alexis is a "virgin"--she's never planned a murder before. No matter--Alexis will not put up Helena's demands any longer. The only way she will be safe is for Helena to die. Luke tells her she better think whether she can live with the consequences. Alexis answers, no prob. She wants to help Luke plan and carry out Hel's murder. Not for just her own sake, but for Nik's. She's prepared to argue self-defense for the crime. Luke says if they do it right, they'll never get caught. Alex confesses that Helena ended the affair between Alex and Ned, by forcing her to defend Tony. Watch out, Luke quips--she may be starting to trust him (Luke). Maybe that's not a good idea, Alex thinks. What would keep Luke from using her as a fall guy? Because they both have a common goal--Helena's death. The two conspirators agree that the whole thing must look like an accident. Ruby's place-- Jerry meets Bobbie at a table and tries schmoozing with her. Jerry lays on the charm, but she's not having it. She informs him that she has no info on Luke or anyone else. Jer knows about Bobbie's past with men--Stefan, tony, etc--and is impressed by her taste for variety. Not one to be put off, he invites her out-- several times. Bobbie turns him down, but her smile hints that she likes him more than she lets on. Jer gets a phone call from Jax--who's learned that the ELQ jet has disappeared with Brenda and Jason aboard. Elsewhere-- Ned, Jax and Jerry do their best to locate the whereabouts of the downed plane. At PC Hotel restaurant, Lucky and Liz craftily have Mrs. Murty paged so that they can learn her identity. Q manse-- Monica tries to sneak away from her birthday party, but AJ and Emily drag her back. Alan, clumsy and slow-witted due to the effects of pills, tries to shower his wife with gifts but winds up showering them all over the floor. The others see that some- thing is off, but try to make a joke of it. Bobbie turns into a "pahtee poopah" (Arnold Schwartznegger accent) when she arrives and tells them of the downed plane. Ed Q wants to get the Governor on the horn and demand action! (Haw haw--that's my Gov, too--Governor Pataki--so that's where he got his campaign funding!) While Ed and Bobbie call Michael's nanny, AJ comforts Emily. Alan responds to this latest family crisis in his usual way--you guessed it-- by taking a bunch of pills. Ed later sidelines Monica to suggest swooping in and taking Michael, now that there's no one to protect him. Monica is disgusted he could mention such a thing, when she doesn't even know if her son is alive. "Dee playne, dee playne!" (Herve Villechaize accent) Ralph and Alice (aka Jason and Brenda) hang on for dear life as the plane nosedives. Even in the midst of their life-threatening trauma, the Honeymooners still find time to squabble. They're going to crash! No they're not! Are too! Are not! Uh huh! Nuh-uh! Jason wins--they crash. Both passengers are knocked unconcious. Brenda wakens, then cries for Jason to wake up. A trickle of water gurgles through the plane door. At last he rouses and their argument resumes. Bren checks on the pilot--he's dead. But she found this cool pack of stuff that they really really need. Put down the stupid pack, Brenda, we don't need it! Yes we do! No we don't! Uh huh! Nuh-uh! Brenda puts down the pack and plays supergal, lifting some heavy object that is trapping Jason's leg. Jason frees himself and tells her that they have to open the door and swim for safety. In the water, the two aquanauts attach themselves to a floating piece of debris. Jason grimaces manfully and Brenda screams helpfully. Conclusion-- Jax can't deal with the "hurry up and Wait" attitude of the others, so he rushes into the night to rescus his little koala bear, Brenda. Meanwhile, Leonardo and Kate hold onto their little floaty thingy for dear life and paddle off into the darkness.
