From: cordet@mindspring.com (maryb) Subject: GH: Update Wednesday 4/22 Date: Mon, 27 Apr 1998 18:55:48 -0500 X-Server-Date: 27 Apr 1998 23:46:29 GMT Justus filled in his client on all the repercussions of the strike - school closings, no trash removal, etc. When they speculated about the trial, Justus said, basically, that Tony didn't have a chance after Jason's great testimony, and defended his "helper" note to Dara. Bobbie brought Lucas to the penthouse for a visit. Jason had some concerns, but Carly shushed them and he split. Though he's initially tentative, Lucas eventually warmed up. So much, in fact, that Carly neglected her mother's order not to tell young Master Jones about her familial relationship. After explaining the circumstances of the adoption to Lucas, Bobbie gave Carly a good handslap, and got over it quickly enough. After they made nice, and were leaving, Bobbie (with a wink at Carly) suggested Lucas call Monica to see if she'd like to come with him on his next visit to his nephew. Jax treated V to a morning at the Deception Spa as a Secretary's Day gift. As she left, she got to meet brother Jerry, who was arriving for a meeting with the Qs about the dock strike. The Qs (Ned, AJ, Edward) entered bickering, as usual. Ned and Jerry had a short pissing match, then seemed to come to an understanding. After much debate and handwringing, Ned suggests a compromise, which Jerry seconds, and offers to envoy. Jerry heads for the docks and calls a "Jimbo" on the cellular with a plan (which we didn't get to hear). Next up, Jer paid a visit to Jason's penthouse, in order to flirt with Carly and Bobbie. Well. He said he had a message for Jason. As her laid it on thick, Carly was delighted, Bobbie was more circumspect. Carly: "What a doll..." Bobbie: "What a snake." At Jax's, a call from the mayor settles it. They're going to have to give up the ghost. AJ offers to call a press conference and put a positive spin on things. Jax still wasn't happy, but went along with it. Justus, at the courthouse informs Jason that thanks to Wentworth shipping, the opposition has caved. Morgan immediately smells a fishy fish in the harbor. V's day of pampering was cut short mid-massage by Felicia and Mac, who had an offer. Or, Mac did. He wanted V to come back to the force as a detective. After attempting to humbly decline, she agrees to think it over. While everyone was milling around the courthouse, pre- press conference, V tells Jax about the offer, and with his encouragement, she decides to go for it. As Ned announces that the strike is over, Jerry and Jax have an exchange where we found out that the dock call Jerry made was to someone at Wentworth shipping. He promised Jax that they would have the last laugh over Jason, after all. Which Jason appeared to overhear. Alexis 1) got the guilt screws applied by Bobbie. 2) got blown off by Ned. Twice. First when she tried to connect via phone, second when she appeared in his car when he was leaving Jax' penthouse. He gave her five minutes to explain herself, which she used by not giving any of the reasons why she was forced to defend Tony. Ned was still so peeved that she gave him no warning of her intentions - against the pact they made, that he kicked her out. Mary
