The show started with a chuckler: Bobbie catching a disheveled
Jerry Jax climbing down the hotel fire escape. He fed her a
story about have to leave a compromising situation. Bobbie's
expression remained snarky while he supplied details of
his tryst to her - a complete stranger. It should be noted
that while Bobbie seemed to remain focused on areas
below Jerry's belt buckle, her eyes didn't seem to
unnecessarily widen any more than usual.

Jerry's next run-in with a "stranger" caught Brenda primping
before a mirror, and while he flirted with her, she
mentioned that she was meeting her "boyfriend" and
his family - including the brother she never met.

Jax welcomed then in, and much brotherly-type ribbing
let's-impress-the-women ensued, till Lady Jane and John
came downstairs. When Bren and the once and possibly
future in-laws headed for the kitchen, Jerry told
Jax his problems with the Police Commissioner were
resolved. After bitching about the strike, Jerry threw out
the suggestion that they have a sit down with Morgan.

Dinner followed. The family was so happy to be reunited
after the long absences, that most of their conversation
revolved around Jason problem. Jax referred to it as one
big game of chicken, while Jerry predicted both parties
would end up as road kill.

While the party was breaking up, Jerry voiced his
opinion - he was unhappy that Jax' feelings for
Brenda were the main reason for this war with
Jason, and wanted his bro to snap out of it. Later,
Jer told the little woman in question that Jax
himself asked to be put out of his misery, should
his resolve to stay out of Brenda's arms weaken.
Brenda threatened to shoot Jax herself, should it
not.

Afterwards, while Brenda and Jax were chatting,
Jerry attempted to ask her out for dinner, but Brender
already had a date with the senior Jaxes.

It was a big day for confrontations at Wyndemere,
starting with Katybell's whining that her bed was
colder than she thought it should be. He more or
less shrugged, and she brought up her visit to
Luke, and further rationalized it, while challenging
his love for her.

Stefan fessed up that she was entirely correct,
and yah, he was PO'd that she'd tried to usurp
his responsibility to protect the family. They
made peace and got around to flirting,
he apologized for his nookie-strike, and they made
a date.

Luke received a large gift from Stefan - Helena's
half-nude portrait. Luke was jokingly disgusted,
and ordered Claude to hang it over the fireplace,
saying it would help keep the Cassadines out.

Wrong.

Nik stopped into the club - and partly due to Luke's
own sarcasm, made a piss poor attempt at thanking
him for assisting in the emergency tracheotomy.
He also attempted to apologize for spilling Lucky's
family history to his half-bro, and was concerned
to find out that Lucky was working for Helena.

As Nik was trying to leave, Luke pointed out the
painting of Nik's grandmother. Nik was suitably awed
(LOD Luke: "So what do you think? I just mounted
'er.") and outraged. On his brooding way out the door,
he stunned Luke with word of Stefan's Portrait Du
Jour collection of Laura.

Upon returning home, Nik immediately confronted
Stefan about the "gift" of Helena. Vlad was apologetic
but dismissive of Nik's concerns, until his nephew
momentarily wrecked his day by revealing what he
revealed to Luke about Lasha central. (MHGC Stefan
enjoyed the Bat's discomposure while he searched
desperately for the air conditioner switch.) When
Stef snapped out of it, he asked Nik if he'd approve
Laura's return. Nik tentatively agreed, but was
concerned about how his telling Lucky would
affect his mother. Stefan said he'd look forward
to the fireworks, in not-so-many words.

Katybell returned to the scene and informed her
dearest love that the staff was told to vamoosh
and not disturb its master in the morning. Stef
broke the news that he wouldn't be sleeping in -
sudden out of town business, doncha know. Although
Katy tried to tempt - her exact words: "I'll take you
around the world." - he wouldn't be swayed.

Speaking of the Turkish-Army-servicing one, she
made a phone call to Alexis, where she made it quite
clear she'd been keeping tabs on everything Alexis
does, and ordered her to make a stop at the Greek Island
homestead to pick up a Very Special Package. Alexis was
reluctant, but Helena suggested that her life depended on
retrieving the trunk. (I'm getting bored of that threat already.)

In the hotel dining room, Ned was trying to put a positive
spin on the strike circumstances when V. came in. He
sat her down for a charming meal together, and tried
to enlist her in his cause, pointing out that what was
happening between J & J (sounds like a GH supercouple,
no?) was personal business that was adversely affecting
everyone around them. V had faith in her boss.

Ned tried to pry info out of her, regarding Jax's plans for the
waterfront power struggle. V gave away nothing of
Jax plans, but was caught in denial about her feelings
for the man, with Ned trying to manipulate into seeing
that Jax was taking her loyalty for granted, while
ignoring the exciting woman she really was.

Alexis' next phone conversation was with Ned, mostly
kiss-kiss and informing him about the ELQ Djakarta
situation. When she told him she was going to miss her
original ETA in Port Charles, she lied, but hey, it's a
mutual non-disclosure relationship.

After Ned got off the phone, V told him that she wasn't
going to help him, saying that at least Jax never tried
to win her with dinner or flattery.

Luke's patrons were expressing mixed, okay, awful
reviews of Helena's portrait when Bobbie came in
to talk with her bro and hash out her upcoming
appearance at Tony's trial, exposing all of her thoughts
on Tony's sanity and history of both self-righteousness
and empathy.

And how she hoped he'd be sent up the creek for 40
years, which set Luke to counter with the info that
Helena has taken an interest in Tony's case. Luke
speculated that Mrs. C was planning on using Tony
as a tool against the Spencers, and asked Bobbie
to try to talk him out of becoming Helena's next
cohort. She balked and left.

Endgame:

Nik came bounding downstairs to tell his uncle that
the plan to bring Laura home had his full approval.
Stefan practically grabbed his hat and left for the
airport, but not before telling Nik to make sure
Katy was left out of the loop - he feared she'd run
straight to Luke with the news.
