Daily Updates
From: judyomega@aol.com (JudyOmega) Subject: GH: Update Friday 4/3/98 Date: 7 Apr 1998 03:30:19 GMT Today, I felt rather sorry for Felicia and Mac, who have now become mere plot devices in what was supposed to be their storyline. And I feel as if GH has lost some of that initial Guza Glow, as yet another relationship/story is launched from the barrel of a gun.... *yawn* At Wyndemere, the episode begins with Katherine trying to convince Stefan and Nik to go to the Waterfront Gala. They decline. On her way out, she runs into Helena (who has Lucky in tow) and Stefan half-heartedly offers them tea.. At the penthouse, Jason is making arrangements with Benny. He tells him not to serve the strike notice until he says so. Jason says he'll speak to ELQ tonight. Carly walks in, asks Jason about her hair, and complains that she has no appropriate jewelry for the occasion. At Peir 52, we see that action from a reporter's point of view. She announces the incoming local celebrities and interviews Edward. When asked about the strike, Edward is about to launch into an anti-union speech when Ned intercepts the microphone and says something more diplomatic. Brenda and Jax arrive and the reporters flock around them asking about their relationship. Thankfully, they have no comment. Stuck in the limosine, Mac and Felicia realize Tess duped them and it finally dawns on Felicia that the hit on Jax will be tonight. Back at the penthouse, Benny arrives with a new diamond necklace and earrings for Carly. She gushes over them as Jason approves. At the Gala, Alan and AJ chat about the possibility of a strike and Alan asks about the added costs if the union walks out. AJ makes some learned talk about injunctions and such, and Alan beams with pride over his son's newfound brainpower. Amy approaches and Alan leads her away to talk about his little 'problem'. Alan says he doesn't need help anymore because he's now drug-free. Amy doesn't quite buy it, and urges him to seek professional help if he has any withdrawal problems. She leaves. Monica wanders over and asks what Amy wanted. V approaches Jax and says the situation is too easy for a sniper. Jax brushes her off, saying there's no need to worry... Tess enters the limo brandishing a gun. She says she knows that Mac is Mac because James has a red patch on his shoulder where a tatoo had been removed and Mac has no such patch. But... one Mac is as good as another for her purposes. At the Gala, Carly and Jason arrive amid reporters' questions about the possible union strike. Jason replies: "Why are you asking me?" and offers no comment. Carly congratulates Jason for 'handling' the press. Brenda sees the couple and says she hopes Robin isn't watching this on TV. "It hurts to get your heart broken," she says. "So I've heard," Jax replies. "Of course, it could be exactly what you need to point you in a better direction," backpedals Brenda (and turns Jax's remark, which I assumed was about *his* broken heart, into being about *her* broken heart...). Note to Brenda: If you were any more self- absorbed, you'd disappear altogether. Back at the limo, Tess asks about James. Mac mentions that if James is still alive, he can tell the police who's really behind the shooting. Tess threatens to kill Felicia if they don't tell her where James is. At the Cassadine Tea Party: Helena compliments Mrs. Lanbury on her scones <grinning for you, Terry> but then adds that she's grateful they were'nt poisoned. Stefan points out that poisoning is her MO. She asks about Nik's studies. Nik says they're going well enought and he will need no help from her when he inherits the empire. He then asks to speak to Lucky alone and they leave. "He despises you" Stefan says to Helena and goes on to say that, despite the innocuous scones, she's not welome here. Helena says that she has important information... At Luke's Club, KatyBell walks in to squeal to Luke about Helena and Lucky's visit to Wyndemere. After sparring briefly about Nik's role in Luke and Lucky's estrangement, she says that Luke should act in Lucky's best interest and stop all this revenge nonsense. "Nothing I've done so far comes close to revenge," Luke replies. At Wyndemere, Helena tells Stefan that Luke and Lucky are at odds and that Lucky could be valuable to them. Stefan is dubious of the boy's intent. He may be another Spencer spy. Helena gathers that Stefan's talking about Bobbie as the other spy, and taunts him for marrying her. Stefan says that if anything happens to Lucky, that Luke would exact revenge by hurting Nikolas. Helena says that Stefan is afraid of Luke... or perhaps it's Luke's wife he fears. Laura might hate Stefan for causing a rift between Luke and Lucky. Outside, Nik tells Lucky that Helena's a murderer. Lucky asks why Nik's even concerned about what he does. Nik says it's for Lulu's sake. Lucky says that what he does is his own business... his life is his own. Nik says that if Lucky works for Helena, that she will control his life. At the Gala, AJ and Keesha exchange gooey sweet pleasantries and comment on Carly's diamonds. "Jason gives her anything she wants," AJ says. "Because she gave him Michael," Keesha adds. AJ says that at least they look happy.... Ned discusses a compromise with Jason regarding the unions. Jason says that Edward and Jax won't do it. Carly leaves and talks to Brenda. Carly: Nice dress Brenda: Nice jewelry. (Me: If I hear about those *&@# diamonds one more time, *I'm* gonna shoot someone...) Brenda goes on to say that it's sad that Michael has to grow up in that penthouse surrounded by guards. And Carly replies, "Feel sorry for yourself Brenda, I'm sure that won't be much of a stretch...." and walks away. (Me: Whoo hoo! You go girl!) Jax walks over and says he needs to talk to Jason and that Brenda can skip that part of the date. Brenda says she can handle it. "He's nothing to me," she says. "Can't wait 'til the day when he's nothing to any of us..." Jax replies. Back in the limo, Mac says he doesn't know where Jimmy is... Felicia does. Tess doesn't believe him. "Then call our bluff," Mac says. If the coroner puts their deaths as happening before the hit, Tess' whole plan'll be shot. Tess says they have 15 minutes before being blown away and leaves. They hear a car pull up... it's a cop. They pound on the window, but he doesn't respond. They decide that he must be the sniper. Tess returns and says the killer is in place so she'll leave and he'll take care of them after the hit (and she leaves). Mac and Filly argue over their fight/flight plan, and Filly tries to pry the door open. At the Gala, Ned gives a welcoming speech. Dara runs into Justus and they discuss the possibility of Jason starting a strike (and haven't I already heard this discussion a bazillion times today?). Carly whispers to Jason and leaves. Carly runs into Monica in the crowd and they rehash the argument about whether or not Monica can be with her grandson. Ned stops speaking and turns over the podium to Edward and Jax to sign the documents. Edward hands the pen to Jax. Jax is now alone at the podium.... Back at the tea party, Helena wonders what's keeping Nik. Stefan says he's avoiding her and suggests that she leave. Nik returns and says Lucky's waiting by the launch. When pressed by Helena, Nik says it's his (Nik's) choice to stay away from her. He adds that if anything happens to Lucky, he'll ask Stefan to see to it that she suffers. He dismisses her. Helena starts to leave, but then adds "would he have as much faith in you if he knew you'd been to No. Carolina?" "He knows," Stefan replies. "And if you harm Laura in any way, he'll know about that too..." Helena leaves... momentarily defeated. Luke walks into his office and Katy's *still* there. She claims they weren't done talking. Luke points out that she wasn't saying anything worth listening to, and advises her not to tell Stefan about their chat. Katy says to give peace a chance. Luke says that she can play 'informer' about Lucky, because, the safer Lucky is, the better off Nik will be. At the Big Cliffhanger, Mac decides to kick the door open, but he'll wait 'til the sniper is ready to fire because it might distract him. We see the world through the sniper's sights: first Jax, then Jason, then back to Jax. Brenda spots the gun and pushes Jax out of the way as the gun goes off... The end... -Judy FGC/PC Garcia, Victor FGCs Luke, Stefan, Carly Member: The Four Horsewomen, Inc.
