Daily Updates
From: earlye@ccnet.com (Angela Earlye) Subject: GH: Update, Tuesday March 24, 1998 Date: 27 Mar 1998 04:02:36 GMT GH/Update for Tuesday, March 24, 1998 AT AN EMPTY OFFICE: (Can someone tell me how Felicia and Mac came to be at this office. I missed a couple of days). Mac and Felicia play a little game of one upmanship as they break into a locked office trying to get more info on Tess and hopefully find out who is giving her orders. (Felicia wins as she manages to pick the lock in about 2 seconds). They search the office until a security guard on a routine check forces them to hide under a desk to escape discovery. The guard flexes a bit but leaves without really doing any searching. Felicia's search turns up several files with background info on Jax, but there is also information on what Mac used to do for Jax/Jerry: destroyed a competitor's private jet, stole blueprints from rival construction company, and sunk oil rig. Mac is not happy to learn from the file that Jerry was not above ratting him out to the police. "They nearly get me killed doing these jobs and then they try to throw me in jail," Mac tells Felicia. Felicia sees a picture of the much talked about but never seen Jerry Jacks and thinks he is a cutie. Mac thinks he has a face like a catcher's mitt and adds that she has terrible taste in men (mentions Tom and Ryan.) "I was going to marry you and if I'm not careful I'm going to have to do it again," she responds. (They're so cute.) Next they find a record of phone calls made from the office. Some were made to the Outback and a call was placed to the Quartermaines. Mac and Felicia snap picts of all important documents and leave. They have now connected this whole mess to the Quartermaines. Felicia has trouble believing the Q's would kill Jax but Mac has no illusions, "Believe it Felicia. If the deal is big enough they'll use his skull for a punch bowl." AT BRENDA'S: Jax (I know I ff him a lot but didn't he used to be blonde?) and V arrive at Brenda's. She's not there. He knows she's gone to see Jason. Jax doesn't like it because he knows that once Jason learns Robin is missing, war will break out. Jax, on the other hand, tells V he would negotiate her safe return. Jax asks V to go over Brenda's house with a fine tooth comb to check for signs of a struggle, forced entry, etc. He's going to get Brenda. Tony sneaks into Brenda's (to get Robin's meds) house while V is upstairs. She hears a noise and comes down but Tony hides in closet. When she goes back upstairs he makes his getaway without Robin's medication. AT THE HOSPITAL: Carly checks in by phone with the police for word on Michael. No news. She shares that with Bobbie but then gets angry at Bobbie because she's planning a birthday party for Tony. And when Bobby tries to explain that she's only trying to keep things safe and normal for Lucas, Carly lashes out accusing Bobbie of maliciously reminding her that Michael disappeared while in her care. Later, after Carly finishes helping out in pediatrics, Bobbie tries a little damage control. She finally tells Carly that she knows she loves Michael and that she wouldn't knowingly put him in jeopardy. Carly apologizes for going off earlier and Bobbie accepts but here comes kookie Tony who gets in a couple of barbs at Carly. (The man is GONE). Carly angrily bounces off. Tony tries to get out of his little birthday bash with Bobbie and Lucas but she won't hear of it. JASON'S PENTHOUSE Jason wants details from Brenda about Robin. Where was she supposed to be? Was there a note? Where was her car? What about her pills? Brenda answers all of his questions. Jason gets on the phone to Benny only to learn that there were no guards on Robin OR Brenda. He yells at Benny to start looking for Robing right away. Brenda is surprised and angry to learn the guards were on her even though she told him she didn't want them and tells him that if anything happens to Robin it's all his fault. Brenda goes off on Jason. She has it all figured out. Robin was kidnapped because Jason wants to play mobster. And of course she wastes time by bringing up her relationship with Sonny and gets in her share of I told you so. Jason yells for her to be quiet - they can save Robin if they work together. But Brenda is too wound up to shut up so Jason wants her to leave. And my favorite exchange of the day comes with Jason reading my mind... Brenda: Oh now you want me to leave because you don't want to be reminded of the fact that I told you that this was going to happen and you didn't listen. Jason: You say a lot of things and I try not to listen to any of them. I told you so I told you so I told you so...blah blah blah... He's a gangster. He doesn't get to love. He should let Robin go. He chose power...now go find Robin and after he finds her, LEAVE HER ALONE. Jason tries once again to explain it so she'll understand. He and Robin have broken up but he's not going to say he doesn't love her because that would be a lie. Brenda vows to make him pay if anything happens to Robin (How, by giving him a new hairstyle?) Jason wants her gone, NOW. He tries to escort her out...she screams at him to let her go. Jax arrives and hears Brenda's screams but the guard won't let him through until Jason gives the word. Jax rushes in like he's on a mission as Jason stares him down and tells them he doesn't have time for either of them. Jax and Brenda say they'll get Robin back...they'll deal with Moreno (HA HA). Jason asks for 24 hours to find Robin without interference. If it's Moreno's he's the only one whole can do it. Jax says no since he's responsible for bringing Robin back to town in the first place. Brenda suddenly becomes the voice of reason and tells Jax that Jason is Robin's best hope. Jax informs Jason that he will be telling Mac that Robin is missing. Brenda asks Jason to prove that Robin's trust in him was warranted by, finding her. AT THE Q MANSION: Ned arrives at the mansion and Emily is glad he is there. The house is tense, everybody is ready to explode but nobody is doing anything constructive by working with Jason to find Michael. Emily is growing frustrated and unhappy about it. Ned knows that all of the Q's working together is a pipe dream. Ned's sympathetic to her feelings which draws them closer. She thinks he is the only one who understands. Alan walks in on that sentiment but exits quickly without making his presence known. Monica and Edward join Emily and Ned... and jokes all around about how useless Edward's appeal is turning out to be. But Edward will do whatever it takes to be the one to bring Michael home...it strengthens his position. He's pretty certain that once Michael is found, Jason will be ruled incompetent and will have a slim chance of retaining custody. As the Q's continue to bicker about Edward's ridiculous plot which has only flushed out every kook in the tri state area, Emily grows more and more disgusted. AJ jumps in to get some digs at Ned for spending time running the company rather than helping them find Michael. Go sharpen some pencils is Ned's response. But AJ continues on and on about Ned and the fact that the only thing in his life is his balance sheet (if he only knew). Looks like Edward enjoys the discord. AT THE HOSPITAL: Tony has a security guard let him into Alan's office. He is taking a peak at Robin's medical file when Alan arrives and catches him. Tony makes up some story about checking on a patient who was requesting more drugs ...But Alan appears so relieved that Tony isn't on to his drug use that he just lets it go. Tony takes a few minutes to offer up sympathy to Alan over Michael's kidnapping and absolve him of any blame, after all it is Jason's fault. When he sees that the pain that this missing baby is causing, Tony tries to pacify Alan by telling him that it is possible that Michael is being taken care of by someone who cares. But Alan is adamant, anyone who would take a child out of a stroller doesn't care about anyone. Tony makes his getaway, looking for the first time like he realizes that he is causing his friends pain. Behind closed doors, Alan pops another pill. AT THE Q MANSION: More Ned/AJ squabbles. AJ thinks Ned should stick around in a family crisis. Edward finally comes to his defense - Ned had important ELQ business, none of which they are about to explain to AJ. But AJ knows he is part of the family business and doesn't need Ned's approval. He glows about fixing some crises at ELQ Jacarta. Well he fixed it by sending Alexis to fix the problem which gives Ned the opportunity to go on and on about a Cassadine spy! (In these battle of wits, AJ is definitely UNARMED!) Emily breaks up the fight! Michael is missing. Don't they care at all? Ned tells Emily about his visit with Brooke Lynn. Alan comes home asking if there is any news of Michael. The hotline's ringing off the hook. Ned has faith that Jason will take care of it if Michael was taken by someone in his business. Edward doesn't want that. He wants to bring Michael home so they'll have a right to him later. Reginald announces visitors for Emily and Lila. Four big strong guys come in and surround Emily. They're her bodyguards, compliments of Jason Morgan. Emily thinks it's cool. This just brings on more bickering by Quartermaines. Jason has hired them to protect Emily and Lila, not the rest of them, LOL. Emily wants to take her new friends to grandmother - privately - and the bodyguards obey refusing to let Edward anywhere near her. AJ: Excuse me but does anyone care that these thugs just took off with Emily. Edward: You're right AJ. Call the police! Ned: He can't. The phones are all tied up by crackpots trying to get their hands on your five million dollars. Just another day at the Quartermaines. AT BRENDA'S: Jax and Brenda return home. V tells them no sign of a struggle. And although Brenda and Jax think they have it all figured out, V wants to explore other options. Brenda's phone rings. It's Tony on the other end but he doesn't say anything. Brenda begs for Robin's return. She's willing to do anything. Tony hangs up but perhaps another sign of recognition that what he's doing is wrong. Hallelujah somebody on the soap hit Star 69 (go Brenda!) but nothing. Jax comforts a distraught Brenda. AT JASON'S PENTHOUSE: Carly comes homes and realizes immediately that Jason is upset. He tells her that Robin has disappeared - he's moving on Moreno tonight and he wants her to stay put so she'll be safe. She promises to stay put but reminds him how important he is to her and Michael. Jason promises to be careful. After Jason leaves she flashes back to when she told Michael that Jason was the best friend that she has ever had. AT THE BROWNSTONE: The birthday party begins. Felicia and her kids, Mac, Lucas, Tony and Bobby are all there. Jax and Brenda break in on the festivities to tell Mac that Robin has been kidnapped! AT THE CABIN: Robin grows sicker but she talks reassuringly to Michael still ever hopeful that Tony will come to his senses (don't think so) or that Jason will find them. Angela
