Alan's Little Helpers and Other Ponderings

AJ is monitoring the flashing phones at the Q mansion, in response to Edward's
televised plea for BBQ's return. Keisha congratulates him on his commitment,
etc., when Alan comes down to announce food. AJ asks him to take over a couple
of lines, which he agrees to, and then ignores a ringing line to go pill
pop, pop,
popping along the second AJ and Keisha leave the room.

The next time we see Alan, he's on the phone, sounding like he's counseling
someone, but then he tells that person that he "has a vice." His voice sounded
calm, but his hand didn't stop fidgeting when he told the phone his vice was
destroying him, and that he was afraid to try find out if he was stronger than
his vice. He continues the monologue, pouring his heart out, but the person on
the other end suddenly has to finish making dinner.

AJ reenters, and Alan asks him about a particular line that keeps getting
action. His son informs him it's the police line, and reminds him that Taggert
and Company are listening to each and every call. Alan looks stupefied for
about three seconds, then splits.

AJ and Keisha continue on to talk about Ned and his negative affect on family
matters. Keisha tells AJ that she hopes Ned falls for some "Eurotrash princess"
(sorry, Gillian's busy on AMC) and you know, I'd really like to not cheer
Ned on,
because he really is such a bastard, but how can you not cheer on Ashton when
Keisha fills AJ's head with "ooh, you're the real brains behind the
operation-like crap": "anything he can do, you can do way, way better," and
while listing his qualities, "the way you gave Alexis Davis her marching
orders."

Famous last words: AJ "Ned only thinks he's in charge."

Later, getting off the phone, AJ marvels to Keisha about how wonderful
sobriety is and how amazingly well he's handling all the pressure he's getting
from being in the bosom of his family.

Who Says Guza Doesn't Use Filler?

Lizzie hops off on the second floor to ask Bobbie about Lucky's whereabouts;
she admits that Lucky gave her the basic details about L & L's not so humble
beginnings, and Bobbie tries to, not excuse the senior Spencers', but to
ask for
a little patience and acceptance.

It's a Long Way Down."

Nik's hanging out on the Wyndemere roof(?), looking over the edge when Luke
pays a visit and remarks on the distance to the ground. Mainly he was there to
hassle Nik for telling Lucky about the rape.

Luke: "What happened Nikolas? After your stroke, which left you mute, you had
so much poison in your mouth that was drippin off the pointed tips of your
forked little tongue?"

Nikolas held his own, noting: "Laura was raped, but certainly not by *my"
father."

Anyway, before leaving, Luke made one interesting observation and a promise.
The observation was that most people were wrong in thinking that Lucky was
the more jealous, competitive of Laura's sons. The promise was that he'd never
save any of Nik's remaining four or so lives.

As Luke was about to leave the island, Stefan presented some difficulty -
Luke's boat had been unhitched. It started out as another of their usual
trade of
insults (Luke: "Why don't you go hang upside down and go back to sleep?" Bat:
"You slink over to the island and scale a three story tower for the sheer
excitement of terrorizing a boy?"), but escalated into a fight scene.

Bat started hitting all the right buttons until eventually Luke came after him.
First connected swing went to Stef, and Luke had his nemesis in a choke-hold
when Lucky interrupted, appearing on the docks out of nowhere to ask if anyone
wasn't missing a boat.

Next it was Luke and his son's turn to fight, although no physical punches were
thrown. Lucky enraged and stunned Luke, first by inquiring to "Mr. Cassadine's"
health, and then refusing to ride back to the mainland in the same boat
with his
father. Luke isn't taking his son's teenage rebellion very well.

Stefan hopped up to the tower to check on Nik - told him not to worry about
Luke but to beware of him, that he shouldn't feel responsible for telling Lucky
about the rape ("If there were some profound secret about your father, wouldn't
you want to know it?"), and Bat told Nik that he was getting ready to make a
call in the Carolinas.

Way Outback

Liz and Sarah are having dinner and a heart to heart, mostly about
Nik. Sarah notes that everyone thinks things are back to the way they were
before Nik's accident, but she knows differently, especially since Robin came
into the picture. Time, says Liz. But Sarah went on to say how perfect Robin
was, and how smart she was and how nice she was and how it was just so
impossible for her to compete against someone who was all that. No kidding,
Liz says.

Tess was at the bar reporting her progress to Mr. Big when Robin and Brender
show up looking for Mac. She gets off the phone and tells them they're
upstairs,
and she's almost ready to go after them.

Above the Outback, Filly, Mac and V. informed a skeptic Jax he's a walking
target, with Mac as the arrow. Eventually they drag Jimmy out of the closet to
prove their point. Jax becomes a believer.

Jimmy stalls, trying to get the bunch to leave him in the
apartment - the rats in the warehouse give him the willies. No luck. Jax tells
the other three he's sure lots of people would like him dead, but he can't
think
of anyone specific off the top of his head. V asks him about Cape Endowments
and Miami (I smell a location shoot), he still doesn't know anything. But
he does
know he wants Filly, Mac and V. to go to work for him as personal bodyguards.
He pulled out the checkbook, but Mac and Filly begged him to go to the police
instead. Jax refused, saying that he didn't want the authorities looking to
closely into his business dealings. Filly and V. start coming around to
Jax point
of view, but Mac still held out.

A knock at the door caused them to stash Jimmy. Turned out it was Brenda, the
quad explained that they were trying to soothe the feathers from the other
day's tabloid mishap. When Brenda says she's there to see V., Mac, Filly,
and Jax
all vamoose and she tells the Cop cum Girl Friday cum PI that she wants to
hijack Jax and is his schedule clear?

Back downstairs, Tess let's into Filly and Mac about leaving her all alone in
charge of the bar for so long. Well, you wanted a job, says Filly. Go
clean table
3. When she does, Robin comes up and reams her uncle (finally) for his strange
behavior. Mac squirms, but Felicia defends him. So Robin yells at her, too.
