From: jyarnot@netcom.com (Jan Yarnot) Subject: GH: Update Thursday March 12 Date: Thu, 26 Mar 1998 17:56:34 GMT UPDATE THURSDAY MARCH 12 1. THE TEST FROM TESS Mac comes up and nuzzles a squeamish Felicia. [Your Fearless Updater notes that F. never minded kissing him before, nearly married him, and has slept with him on numerous occasions. Yet now his very touch bothers her?] Tess walks over to them and says "look at the lovebirds." [Tess sounds jealous, truth be known.] Tess finds it hard to believe that "Jimmy" is so smitten, yet doesn't spend the night with Felicia. She asks "Jimmy" if he's a high test scorer. In the PC Hotel suite, Brenda drops in on Jax with a gift. Jax is distracted, while Brenda prattles on about Ned Kelly and how she'd called Jax's mother, etc. etc. Then she sees the tabloid about herself, with a quote from Mac. "[Brenda] is a time bomb ready to go off." They charge off to the Outback to confront Mac. Mac is surprised, but "passes the test." Jax hits him and there's a handy photographer there. Later, Brenda flirts with Jax, and YFU dozes off. 2. LUCKY CONTINUES HIS INVESTIGATION Lucky is on the dock, staring toward Spoon Island. Liz comes up to him. What is she doing [out walking alone at dusk? It's always dusk on the docks, just as it's always midnight at the bridge.] She has to go be interviewed by the cops. Will Lucky come with her? The interview is conducted by Garcia and Dara, who are sensitive. [YFU was glad NOT to see Taggart there!] It's a very powerful interview. Liz describes "disassociating" just to survive the rape. After the talk, Audrey comes by, and Liz, bothered, goes to splash water on her face. After this, Lucky comes up to Stefan and asks "Why did you lie about my parents?" Stefan won't admit it's a lie, and Lucky keeps pushing. Stefan says "Whatever choices your mother made, cannot be judged by ordinary standards. Laura is unique in her capacity for love -- and forgiveness -- for self-delusion." Stefan walks sadly off. Lucky is devastated. 3. LOOKING FOR MICHAEL Justus is at the Penthouse. Carly tells him Jason is not there. They discuss Justus' relationship to Carly. He says he doesn't hate her, even though they're not friends. Carly is blaming herself for the kidnapping. Jason comes in. He's no longer sure it was Tony who did it. Carly, however, being Carly, goes "out for a walk" and storms into Tony's office. "You bastard! What have you done with the baby?" Tony is very "surprised" and calm. His eyes are practically spinning, though. Bobbie comes in and stops Carly. When she has stormed out, Tony asks Bobbie about the kidnapping. He's fairly spacy. He idly scratches himself while saying this was just what he was worried about. [He told them so. Kudos to Brad Maule, YFU believes Tony is rubber room material for sure!] Maybe he should stay in town. Jason is beginning to lose hold of his emotions. He's so worried about Michael. Taggart comes by and Justus confronts him. Taggart wants to tap the phone. He gets intense: if they don't cooperate with the police, "you'll be the one that killed him." At the station Dara tells Taggart she's thinking of taking him off the case. He's harassing Jason. Taggart tells Dara about his first case. He was gentle with the family, didn't question them hard enough, and the little girl died. -- Jan Yarnot, net.granny, RABbabe, mouse-pushing wacko, member of SESIDAR Growing older is mandatory, growing up is optional. jyarnot@netcom.com Putting the fun in "dysfunctional." http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/5144/
