Hi Jeff...I'm the new updater for GH...I have alternating Tuesdays. I
believe I'm supposed to send you a copy as well as post on RATSA. Is it a
problem that it will probably take me at least a day to get it done due to
work, etc. Let knew of any ettiquette that I may be missing. Thanks.

GH: Update for Tuesday, March 10

Jason's Penthouse
Carly awakens from a fitful sleep calling for Michael but there has been
no news. Benny arrives
at the penthouse to report that there is no word on the street about the
kidnapping. Moreno is doing business as usual and because there is no
loose talk, contact made, or ransom demands, Benny believes the kidnapping
is not business. It's personal. To Carly that means the Quartermaines!
Her plan? Tell Edward she won't press charges and when she gets Michael
back - she'll have the cops lock the whole family up! (Gotta love her!) A
reluctant Jason relents after Carly pleads for him to take her to the Q's.

At Wyndemere
Nicholas rereads Laura's letter. She speaks of her knowledge that her two
sons will one day find
some sort of peace between them. This brings on a feeling of uncertainty,
that perhaps he made a
mistake in telling Lucky that Luke raped Laura. He asks Stefan, just how
sure he is that Luke
raped Laura and what's his proof. Stefan (still don't know how he found
out about the rape unless Laura told him) tells him proof is easily
available. Even though Laura chose not to accuse Luke there are public
records, her former husband, friends and family - they know the truth -
and he's free to ask questions. Nick admits to Stefan that he told Lucky
about the rape.

Nick blames Lucky for making him tell him all about the rape (snort) and
daring him to go find
the truth. Stefan figures Lucky is a bright and curious kid and is sure
he'll keep digging until the truth comes out since it was only Luke's
"limitless arrogance" (look who's talking) that made him believe Lucky
would never find out. Stefan pacifies the young prince, holding him
blameless, but warns Nicholas to be ready as Luke will undoubtedly come
after them rather than face his own guilt. Stefan is pleased that Nick
confided in him.

At the Spencer House
Laura calls home which gives Lucky the opportunity to delve into her past.
Telling her he's
studying romantic poetry he asks about the first time she met Luke. Upon
hearing it was love at
first sight, Lucky, clearly consumed by Nick's accusation asks, "No second
thoughts? No fears?"
When she asks him if he's looking for a girlfriend Lucky makes his excuses
and gets off the
phone. Luke comes in. Small talk give ways to another fishing expedition
by Lucky. He tells
Luke of his search into the 80s and all the neat hero stuff he found. But
there was also news of
Stavros' death. "A lower life scum never graced a morgue slab" is Luke's
response. Wound up
tight, the notion that the Cassadines would do anything to destroy their
family and paint Luke as
the villain is what Lucky tries to hold on to but even it is mighty cold
comfort. Lucky just "wants to know the truth." He heads off to school as
Luke looks pained. (I think he knows the jig is almost up!)

At the Q's
Jason and Carly arrive at the Quartermaines. Ned, Edward, Alan, Monica, AJ
and Keesha are
there. Jason demands that Edward give back Michael. Everyone appears
shocked and the
questions begin. When Carly starts yelling at Edward, Bobbie appears from
behind door number
one and accuses Carly of putting her baby at risk by not keeping silent
about the kidnapping as
the police asked. Jason takes responsibility for them being there. The
police have their way of
doing things and he has his. Jason turns to Edward and asks in a calm voice
that belies the
emotion and danger underneath, "I'm asking you nice. Where is he?"
Everyone looks at
Edward.

Edward asks how he (or anyone else) is supposed to walk off with a baby
surrounded by "an
army of pistol packing babysitters?" Since the can of worms has been
opened, Bobby decides the
Q's should know all. She recounts the events of the kidnapping, sticking in
a few twist of the
knife by continuing to accuse Carly of purposely ditching Michael? (OK
isn't there some kind of
slapping brigade I can join?) Carly explains she only took her eyes off
Michael for a second to
take Edward's call! She accuses Edward of setting her up. He denies it.
Ned wants him to come
clean if he's responsible. Edward leaves, with Jason on his heels. AJ
(and my sympathy lessens
with each passing day) steps up to bat next to taunt Carly. He wants to
know the details on just
how she managed to get rid of the baby and condemn her for now turning
Jason's life into one
crisis after another. Carly says her only problem was underestimating the
Quartermaines and
demands to know where her baby is. AJ He reiterates once more that if he
knew he'd keep him away from her forever. Keesha has been in the room
throughout but for the life of me I don't know
why.

Meanwhile, Edward has grabbed his coat but is met at the front door by
Taggart and Garcia.
Garcia questions Edward about the "attempted" kidnapping that happened in
January, without
going into details of the current kidnapping. Jason listens and watches
carefully, his internal lie
detector monitoring everything. In a bit of self serving drama, Edward
drops an expensive vase
to the floor explaining that he takes risks on stocks, bonds lands, cash
etc. He could lose it all
and still smile but family (violins please) is something he wouldn't risk.
He'd already paid a steep
price for what he did by being denied Michael. He'd never put the boy in
danger. I'm not so sure,
but Edward passes Jason's internal lie detector test. He tells Taggart to
lay off. Garcia and
Taggart are not happy to learn that all of the Q's know about the
kidnapping. Taggart warns them
to keep quiet because Michael's life depended on it. They all agree to
cooperate with the police.

Taggart tells Jason that his coming to the Q's has only made it worse for
Michael prompting
Carly to leap to his defense. The only person to blame is herself. She
berates herself for failing
to keep her eye on Michael, helping the kidnappers to walk away with
Michael. Jason (who
doesn't do comfort well) tells her not to do this to herself. The entire Q
clan look at Carly like
she's an alien although I did notice a touch of sympathy on Monica's
face...but it's Edward who
takes the tear stained Carly into his arms in a hug and tells her that it
is only her despair talking
and he has enough hope for the both of them. (Don't know if he's sincere
or playing the angles,
but she really needed that hug).

Taggart questions Jason about the possibility that this is some sort of mob
retaliation. AJ
(SMACK) steps forward to say it must be an act of revenge against Jason and
that he should
cooperate fully with the police. Jason lets AJ know that he, AJ, is still
suspect as far as he is
concerned.

At the Outback
Lucky has tracked down Scott Baldwin (it's so great to see him). He wants
to know who raped
his mother. Scotty looks uncomfortable with this painful piece of his past
 and not at all anxious
to do Luke in despite his feelings for him. (classy guy!) He certainly
doesn't want to mess around
with the head of a teenager. Scott refuses to answer his questions while
Lucky tries several
different tactics to get him to open up including accusing Scott of being
afraid of his father.
Scott noted that Lucky had his mother's looks but his father's personality
but he also says he's
changed - sure there was a time he would have liked to stick it to Luke
but he's a dad now
himself and isn't about to dwell on old vendettas. He warns Lucky that if
e goes looking for dirt,
he'll find it! Getting nowhere, Lucky wants to know how bad his mom was
hurt. Physically, she
was ok, but emotionally, he had no idea since he wasn't privy to it.

At the Spencer House
Luke comes home to find Bobbie at his kitchen table. She said her car just
ended up in his
driveway. Luke responds, "Yeah? Guess that means your car has forgiven me."

Bobbie tells Luke all (saying she didn't want to be the only Spencer who
knows) and Luke's
initial response makes me LOL. He can't believe Carly lost the kid and
wonders aloud if the
girl has gone postal! Bobby believes Carly is genuinely terrified (hmmm,
shouldn't she be telling
this to Carly?). Luke wants to get involved by helping Jason...he
disdainfully laughs of the police
warnings about sloppy civilians getting in the way. But he promises not to
interfere unless Jason
asks and adds that she needn't worry, she won't owe him a thing. But
Bobby tells him what's
going on isn't about their quarrel. It's about the possibility that
Michael could be killed. Her fear
of that is bringing up memories of BJ. She couldn't handle it alone and
that's why she is there.
Bobby relates to Luke how it felt to hold Carly those few minutes after
she was born and no matter what's happened since, she doesn't deserve this.
Dripping with foreshadowing, Bobby tells Luke she hopes he never finds out
what it means to lose a child.

At General Hospital
Lucky, the wonder kid, goes into an empty, unsecured, medical records
office, sits down at the
computer and easily pulls up Laura's 20 year old file. He reads about the
physical ramifications of
Laura's rape and finds out that the police were notified but no assailant
was identified.

At Jason's Penthouse
Jason and Carly arrive home. Since they haven't been notified yet, Jason is
ruling out money as a
cause for the kidnapping. Carly wonders if the Q's or Moreno don't have
Michael, then some
NUTCASE... bingo... light goes off in Carly's head. She suspects Tony
Jones. But Jason has
beat her to the punch and warns her not to tip of Tony. He's already moving
on it.

Stay tuned!
