From: judyomega@aol.com (JudyOmega) Subject: GH: Update Friday, Feb. 20, 1998 Date: 21 Feb 1998 20:10:06 GMT Hello all! I'm pleased to be joining Terry as the second half of the Friday update team. So withour further adieu, I give you: Two Diners and a Dupe: Diner #1 The PC Grill: Carly walks in with two large shopping bags, and tells the maitre d' she's there to meet Jason for lunch. The maitre d' tells her that Jason will be a bit late, so she has plenty of time to catfight with Keesha (who's just entered the room). They discuss their prior run-in at GH, right after Virginia died, and decide they still don't like each other. Carly gets in a parting shot about Justus now working for Jason, and then steps away, just as Robin enters the room to have dinner with Keesha. Keesha treats Robin to her Anti-Carly tirade, which culminates in her declaring that Carly is using her baby to get a free ride from Jason. Robin mulls this over as Jason enters the room with Michael. At their table, Keesha elaborates on her earlier statement, saying Carly used the baby to manipulate AJ, then Tony, and now Jason. Robin says that she thinks Jason knows what he's doing and can take of himself. Meanwhile, Carly tells Jason about her day of shopping and the luxury of having a facial. She notices Jason looking at Robin and tells him to go over and say 'hello' to her. Jason says that she'll come over and talk to him, if she wants to.... ...And as Jason predicts, Robin does. They have a brief, awkward conversation about the the baby and Robin retreats to her table. Keesha observes that Robin is still hung up on Jason and vice versa. Robin admits to kissing him the other day, but asserts that they can't resume their relationship, since nothing's changed. Keesha agrees that Robin's doing the right thing. Carly starts to get depressed about returning to the same place where Virginia collapsed and Tony and Bobbie berated her. She's certain the maitre d' wouldn't have seated her had she not been with Jason. Jason assures her that, in a business, no one cares who you are, as long as you have money to pay. Robin and Keesha's conversation segues into AJ, whom Keesha admits she's still crazy about. She tells Robin about their romantic evening at Kelly's, and their new-found relationship. She then reiterates how badly Carly treated AJ, insinuating her way into his life, and how she's doing the same to Jason. And, as Robin gazes over at Jason and Carly sharing a 'family' moment with Michael, Keesha exclaims: "scratch the surface of that family picture and all you'll see are lies..." Robin looks convinced and heads over to Jason's table again. But just as she's about to speak, she notices Michael looking over at her, and Jason says: "He knows who you are, now". This distracts her from her original task, but she does manage to plant one passive-agressive seed when she says that it's a good thing Carly's back so the baby can bond with *both* parents. After all, babies grow up so fast, it'd be a shame for a parent to miss one second of their development... When Robin leaves, Carly asks Jason if she knows about AJ being the father. Jason tells her that she does. Diner #2: Kelly's Bobbie and Lucky share a conversation about Lizzie. Lucky wants to know what he should do, if Lizzie won't admit there's anything wrong. Bobbie tells him just to let her know he's concerned and to be there for her, but, unless she decides to report the crime, there's really nothing else to be done. Lucky makes some allusion to going after the rapist himself, and Bobbie, of course disapproves. Meanwhile, back at Audry's house, Liz is applying makeup in the bathroom (wearing a sleeveless shirt) when Sarah bursts through the door looking for a lost $10 bill. She sees Lizzie's arms and asks her what happened. Lizzie says that she fell and leaves the room, claiming she has to work at Kelly's. Audry stops Lizzie at the door and voices concern over her being up and about too soon after having the flu. Lizzie says she's fine and leaves. Sarah walks in and she and Audry compare notes about Lizzie's experience at the dance. Sarah notices the inconsistencies in Lizzie's story (she'd told Audry she was with Lucky, but told Sarah she was meeting Chet). Sarah then questions Audry about bruising, claiming one of her schoolmates got bruises all over her arms during a basket-ball game. Audry is aghast, and says that a game should never be that brutal to produce bruising like that. Luke walks into Kelly's just as Lucky assures Bobbie he won't turn vigilante. Lucky sees Lizzie outside and goes to her, greeting new.Mr.Murty (obviously a recast) on his way out. Once outside, Lucky reassures a reticent Lizzie that if she wants to go back to work, he'll be there to support her. Liz enters Kelly's and appears nervous at the sight of some anonymous male customer looking at her. She then walks by New.Murty, who touches her arm while greeting her, and frightens her. Murty apologizes for scaring her and inquires about her health. Liz says she's fine and Murty says that he'll see her in class, but that she still looks a little ill. New.Murty leaves. Bobbie greets Liz and asks if she'd like to sit down. She says that it's normal to be frightened, like she was with Mr. Murty, for a while. She gives her some brochures from the Rape Crisis Center and Lizzie thanks her. Bobbie then urges Liz to tell Audry, but assures her that it's her decision, and that she won't interfere. She also suggests that a doctor examine her and give a baseline test for HIV. Liz insists she doesn't need it, until Bobbie tells her about Robin's experience. Liz looks as if she's considering Bobbie's words as she leaves the table to start work. Sarah enters and asks Lizzie about her bruises again. Lizzie tells her to leave her alone, and walks away. Sarah asks Lucky about the dance, and Lucky is vague. Sarah tells him about Liz's bruises but Lucky claims to know nothing about it. Liz passes by Luke and Bobbie and Luke tells her that he admires her courage. Liz runs out of Kelly's, obviously distraught. Lucky asks Luke what he said to her, and Luke replies that he told her to 'hang in there'. Sarah goes outside and begs Lizzie to tell her what's wrong. She promises to keep it a secret. Lizzie breaks down and tells her about the rape, and Sarah hugs her. She asks Liz if she knew her attacker, and Liz said 'no'. Inside, Bobbie tells Luke not to make Lizzie's problem "about you and your past". And Lucky overhears, asking "what about your past?"... The Dupe: Helena calls Alexis and tells her to see to it that Katherine acquire a certain stone bench, designed to look exactly like the bench of The Glorious Greek Flashbacks fame. Alexis resists, but Helena insists, threatening to repeat every detail of Kristin's death as a not-so-veiled reminder of what could happen to Alexis. Alexis agrees, just as Katherine knocks on her door. Katherine wants an explanation about the dress, saying that, while Stefan liked it, she's sure Alexis has an ulterior motive. Alexis assures her that she just wants to get back into Stefan's good graces again by doing what she can to promote his relationship with Katherine. She longs to be part of Stefan's life again, because they had been so close before. Katherine observes that Alexis looks upset, so Alexis explains that its the anniversary of Stefan's baptism, and she alway gave him a gift commemorating the occasion, in the past. But alas, she continues, those times are over, so the beautiful stone bench she had commissioned as his special gift this year will go to waste. And faster than you can say, 'hook, line, and sinker' Katherine gobbles up that information, and makes noises about acquiring the bench herself. Alexis urges Katherine to do it, as it would make Stefan very happy... Later, Helena walks into Alexis' room and asks if she's done her bidding. Alexis says yes, she tricked her. Helena eyes Ned's gift, which Alexis still have clutched in her hands and urges Alexis to toughen up.... "it'll lengthen your life". Cut to Wyndemere, where Katherine is playing the excited little girl, urging Stefan to walk outside with her.... (boy those bench delivery guys must really work fast!)
