UPDATE FEBRUARY 19

THE CONSTITUTION: IT'S THE LAW, NOT JUST A WEIRD IDEA

Carly is rocking the baby with Jason watching them. She'd thought
mothering would come naturally. There's a knock, and Taggart comes in
and arrests Jason. Carly yells at him, because she's panicky about being
left alone with the baby.

At the station, Dara comes in, and asks what charges have been filed on
Jason. [Charges? Oh, I don't like his face.] Taggart tells her there
were shots fired on January 23. [He forgets El Nino, surely Jason can be
blamed for that, as well.] Dara says to keep Jason two hours and then
kick him out. [Your Fearless Updater asks if PC is actually in the US,
so that the Constitution is the law?] Justus comes in and says there are
no charges, no probable cause.

Dara tells Justus not to "jump ugly." They cuff Jason to a chair and go
off to see a judge. They take an elevator, and of course it gets stuck.
Dara tells Justus he's wrong [her mail-order law degree apparently didn't
mention the Constitution.] Taggart "jumps ugly." Why doesn't Justus
punch him out?

Garcia talks to Jason, but he won't uncuff him. Officer Rick [YES! But it's
time to put him back on the street!] gives Jason the phone. It's Carly
panicking over the baby who won't stop crying.

Carly brings the baby to the station and tells everyone off. Tony is
being released from having spent the night in jail sleeping off a drunk,
and sees Carly and Michael there and complains. As if he had a leg to
stand on, or could.

STEPHAN'S WORD: A WEIRD IDEA, NOT THE LAW

Robin goes to Windemere and Katherine is glad to see her. Stephan,
however, attempts to send her off. Robin gives as good as she gets
and goes outside to wait for Nikolas. Katherine calls Stephan
overbearing and dismissive [she just noticed!]

Stephan explains to Katherine how Robert arrested his uncle Victor. He
also doesn't like Robin's connection to Jason, and he asks/orders
Katherine not to invite visitors on Nik's behalf. She agrees if Stephan
will accept Nikolas's lead on visitors.

Robin meets Nik and tells him that Emily isn't allowed to come any more.
She hands him the French books, and he asks her to stay.

THERE OUGHT TO BE A LAW

Bobbie finds out Michael's prescription is ready. Luke skulks into the
hospital. Bobbie doesn't want to see him. She reminds him of his rape of
Laura and calls him a hypocrite.

Bobbie goes to see Michael. The baby is crying. When next we see her, she's
at Liz', and mentions STD (sexually transmitted diseases) tests. It's
easy to see Bobbie is feeling maternal.

Liz, later, opens the door to Lucky who brings her homework. She admits
the rape to him. He tries to talk her into telling Audrey. He suggests
she should take the tests. But Liz doesn't want anyone to know. Lucky
helps her with her math, and Liz tries to become a normal girl again.

Lucky goes home and sees Luke. Luke asks about Liz, and Lucky raves: how
could a guy DO that??
