From: sneachta@ix.netcom.com (maire sheosamh) Subject: Re: GH: Update Tuesday 2-17-98 Date: Sat, 28 Feb 1998 22:38:06 -0600 X-NETCOM-Date: Sat Feb 28 8:31:38 PM PST 1998 Sorry this is late and short. It is the result of the flu, losing tapes and really not liking a lot of what happened that day. But on the other had there were a few stellar spots. So I have graded the various 'threads' for your convenience Dara and Justus have several long scenes in which their relationship is discussed ad nauseam. They basically admitted they like each other quite a bit, argued over Jason and Justus trying to 'bribe' Dara and then melted together for a kiss that set them giggling and apparently made everything right. Grade: C-, don't know what this was suppose to do but it didn't. Bobbie and Lucky discuss Lizzie's rape and whether it is right to keep it a secret. Audrey comes up and enthuse about how happy Lizzie was to go to the dance with Lucky and how happy she [Audrey] was that Lizzie was safe with him having fun. Lucky's horror and guilt are palpable, and he almost tells Audrey what happened but Bobbie steps in. He leaves filled with disgust at himself. Grade: A , well done all around. Keesha lambastes Jason for leading Justus astray. Jason gives his typical, people do what they want---none of the responsibility is mine---not my problem--whatever speech. Grade: D-, seen it before, pointless Edward lays the groundwork for future dealings with Carly. Although she is suspicious she is lonely and he plays her like a violin. He cleverly offers her sympathy and friendship, and leaves when Jason arrives. Jason warns Carly about Edward all over again, and Carly agrees with him absently. Jason seems well aware that Carly will do whatever she feels like and there is nothing he can do about it. Grade: B, good, solid effort-injected some much needed life Lizzie huddles in her bed a lump of silent pain and misery. Lucky comes to the front door rings, knocks and calls out to her--begging her to let him in, tense with worry, pleading. She stays in her bed stoneyfaced and suffering, it doesn't even seem that she hears Lucky, even though his voice comes up clearly to her room---she is trapped in her pain, and notices nothing around her. Grade: A++++, I need a higher grade to give---absolutely incredible scenes, breathtaking; this is why I watch GH, for work like this. AJ rents out Kelly's to give Keesha a private birthday party. They are back together I guess. The actors have no chemistry with each other at all and it seems rushed and forced. Grade: F, once again Guza fails AJ, Warlock made this past summer bearable, why can't Guza do something with him? finis A heartfelt fare thee well to Kate, my old update partner, and a warm welcome to my new one who I don't know [yet] but I believe is named Angela, right? Here's to better Tuesdays! Maire, 1/2 the Tuesday Update Team.
