General Hospital Update for Tuesday, February 10:

The setting: Port Charles Hotel, where everyone is trapped
             by the blizzard, lit only by candles and emergency
             lights

Scene #:

1) With Jimmy securely bound, Mac, Felicia, and V [yay!] agree not
  to involve the police until they uncover Tess' plot.

2) Ned arrives at Alexis' suite bearing a sliver platter of canapes
  and much sexual innuendo.

3) Inside the darkened pharmacy, Alan's hands shake fiercely as he
  fumbles with the lock on the meds cabinet.

4) As a lobbyful of onlookers onlook, Virginia and Carly disengage
  from a joyful hug.  C urges her mama to leave, but a misguided
  VB insists on introducing C to her birth mother.  "My daughter,"
  Bobbie seethes, given this proof of C's claim, "you little bitch."

5) A baffled VB struggles to retain her composure throughout multiple
  shocks as the story unravels, beginning with Caroline's alias and
  whereabouts these past two years.  Bobbie is spittin' mad and insists
  that VB hear the truth right there and now.  Carly alternates between
  worry, anger, hurt and defiance with her usual alacrity.  B registers
  that the real Carly Roberts died at 17 in a car accident and berates
  C for stealing the lives of those she admires.  C tearfully and
  resentfully tells the truth, how the PI found her in Pensacola and
  told her of B's search.  C had always believed her real mom would
  recognise her on sight, but was disillusioned when the rich doctor's
  wife with the house and adopted son apparently wanted any child but
  her.  (As Bobbie listens, her anger drops for fleeting moments, but
  ultimately she cannot fathom the twisted paths of C's logic.)  Tony
  injects that C decided never to tell B that she was her daughter
  at the point when C decided to steal her mother's husband.

6) Ned & Alexis continue their doubletalk as N seduces A to work at
  ELQ (and, between the lines, to sleep with him).  A insists upon
  mutual non-disclosure, keeping private family business seperate.
  Ned evades the point, wondering if she's being threatened, but
  concedes if she promises not to act against ELQ or his family.
  She sez she'd resign in a conflict of interest and he'd have to
  accept that.  He sez ok.  They toast non-disclosure and future
  negotiations.

7) Mac wants to know why it took so long to figure Jimmy out if he
  was such a dufus, and explodes at the mention of Jason & Robin.
  Venus [yay!] interrupts, they need to get Jimmy outta there.

8) Alan breaks the glass door to get his pills. An alarm goes off.

9) Monica convinces Edward to leave the Joneses & Bensons alone,
  and Keesha and AJ follow her lead.

10) Carly slings angry barbs at Tony and Bobbie, admits to sleeping
  with T and ruining B's life, can she & Mama leave now?  "What about
  Michael?" B asks.  "Shut up!" C pouts, can't she tell just one
  thing in private?  B apologises to VB for blindsiding her.  VB
  promises B that she raised C better than this.  B sez neither of
  them is to blame, and asks finally if Carly Roberts was killed
  by a drunk driving a convertible.  Yes.  B absorbs another blow,
  composes herself, wishes VB luck, and splits.

11) Monica worriedly tries to detain Bobbie, but she is angry and
  has to see someone.

12) VB scolds Carly for breaking Bobbie's heart.  C rolls her eyes.
  "B still has her house and son."  She should be grateful to be
  rid of Tony.  T blusters and VB scolds him for blaming his own
  choices on Carly.  VB is devastated that Michael is C's son,
  and C shoots daggers at T for revealing it.  VB is angry that
  her grandson was kept secret from her.  T gladly informs her of
  C's infidelity.  C yells at him to leave and he does.  C lamely
  lies that she was gonna tell mama.  When?  C falters.  VB sez
  no, you were never gonna tell, some plan or some thing that she
  wanted would have gotten in the way and she would have just called
  because it's so much easier than explaining.

13) Monica is surprised that Bobbie had had a child and Edward
  begins scheming to offer Carly that Jason can't, claiming
  that greed and social ambition are not necessarily detriments,
  having gotten Monica through those front doors all those years
  ago when she was plain poor Monica Webber.

14) Big Al calmly takes his pills, wiping away all fingerprints,
  and splits as the pharmacy alarm rings.

15) Ned and Alexis admit their attraction and family conflicts,
  charmingly agreeing to have both a personal and professional
  relationship.

16) Bobbie risks the life of the ferryman to visit the Stefan
  we used to know [the eloquent lord of information and control].
  She has to know if he knew Carly was her daughter.  He did.
  Why not tell her?  When they were married it would have hurt
  her without purpose and after the divorce it was a weapon
  he didn't need.  He kept in reserve that Luke had greatly
  exagerrated her daughter's death.  B denies it.  S offers
  to show her the report on Luke's trip to see VB.  B parries
  that it's a setup, but S knows he's only confirming what
  she already knows.  Why else should she come there?
  Defeated, B accepts the truth dolefully, "once you've
  been lied to by your child, and your brother, where else
  can you turn for the truth but to your mortal enemy?"
  S all but says "I told you so" practically smirking, but
  denies that he's particularly enjoying this, acknowledging
  how good she's been to Nik.  One last question before B
  leaves:  Did he set her up to find Carly with Tony that
  night in the cabin?  He basically confirms this.

17) Jovial Alan returns to Monica, all smiles and lies.

18) Carly pleads softly with her mama to go home now to
  her beautiful penthouse and see the baby, claiming that
  all that stuff she did is behind her now.  VB asks if
  she takes any responsibility for what she's done to these
  people or to her.

19) Mac & Felicia bust up the cabin.  Venus [yay!] reluctantly
  agrees to control Jimmy with the same animal tranqs that were
  used on Mac.  To further their charade, F gleefully decks Mac
  and throws the couch over as they profess how much they missed
  each other.

20) Morning and worktime arrive as Ned & Alexis seal their
  deal with a passionate kiss.

21) Tony fills in the last gap for VB, Carly's abandonment
  of the baby to his father the moblord.  Carly rips into
  T for playing victim to a woman half his age, then into
  VB for taking sides against her and for blaming her for
  everything since Frank abandoned them.  VB admits she
  doesn't like Tony but Bobbie is a fine honest woman.
  Flustered and shaking, she denies all blame for what
  Carly is.  Carly lashes out at her, and as she turns
  to threaten Tony, Virginia crashes to the floor.

22) Barbara Jean Spencer enters her brother's living
  room, quietly shaken but firm, and sits to wait in
  the dark.
