UPDATE THURSDAY JANUARY 15

(In Which a Really Stupid Plot is Hatched.)

Monica sees Emily sitting on the stairs.  Her birthday is
tomorrow and she's reflecting on her life.  She just wants a
"simple" family dinner, but definitely a big cake.  Emily's
wish is that Jason and his son would have a safe place.

Jason has Baby Boy Morgan in the park.  Robin comes up and tickles the baby.
They discuss baby talk, which Jason doesn't understand.  Then they talk
about Brenda.  Robin is moving into the cottage and staying in Port
Charles.  She goes back with Jason to watch him feeding the baby.

Ned and Justus are at the Port Charles Grille.  Justus has a few problems
with the dock overhaul.  Ned thinks he should get his priorities right (be
reasonable, do it my way).  Ned is tired of getting his hand swatted
everytime he or Grandfather wants to cut corners.  Justus knows Ned is
jealous of him.  Ned leaves.

Edward tells Emily that he and A.J. might be late to Em's party.  Monica
and Emily go off to shop for The Dress.  Lila informs Edward that he will
be on time for the party.  The doorbell rings. It's Tony.

Tony is wildeyed with a plot to kidnap the baby.  He claims he knows the
baby is no longer his business.  He reminds them that Jason is brain
damaged.  Edward doesn't think kidnapping will work, but Tony thinks if
they offer Jason an alternative he'll leave the baby.  Tony is surprised
he has to convince them.  Alan must be on drugs, since he agrees.  Edward
too, but A.J. says he can't go along.  He says it won't work.  Tony says it's
like an intervention.  A.J. caves.  They plan how to get Jason there.
A.J. thinks of Emily's birthday.

Keesha comes in to see Justus.  They remember it's been 2 years since
Mary Mae died.  Keesha suggests (singing) that Justus should "turn and
run like hell..." Keesha wants Justus to forgive himself and not to work
for Jason.

Robin tells Jason that the baby should bond with A.J.

The men think about getting Emily, Lila, Monica, Ned, and Justus out of
the way.  [That should have been their first sign, more people to evade
than are in the plot!]

Emily comes in with her new dress.  Monica asks why Tony is there.
Edward tells Emily he wants Jason and the baby to come to her party for
Lila.  (And, incidently, tell Lila it was her, Emily's, idea!)  Tony is
lurking, looking positively vulpine. [That is, like a hungry wolf. Your
Fearless Updater is showing off.]

Monica is suspicious, but Alan distracts her by booking a spa visit for her.

Ned comes to the house and nags at A.J. (since Justus was
unsatisfactory.)  Edward wants to know about Justus and the dock project.

Emily calls Jason.  She convinces him to come.

Robin shouts over the Ominous Knell of Doom: "you won't be sorry!"
