Cassadines

Katybell and Stefan were keeping watch when Nik started to come
around, without really opening his eyes. They talked at him,
attempting to reassure, then went out in the hall and embraced.
Bobbie busted this up. Stefan reported Nik's awareness and stated
that he just knew something was wrong.

Bobbie assured him that all signs were good, but rechecked Nik's
vitals and said everything was clear, but gave them a clipboard
and instructions to ask some simple yes/no type questions
to guage Nik's mental faculties. They headed back into his room
and Stefan asked Nik if he was in any pain. At first, Nik didn't write
anything and they were about to leave, discouraged, but he held
onto the pen and wrote "only when I laugh." Stefan laughed and
reported the news to Bobbie.

Kat, who earlier tried to be comforting towards Sarah, asked
Stef to consider allowing the teen to visit.

Lizzie and Lucky were in and out of the scene. At one point,
Elizabitch invited him to swallow his own medicine, the spoonful
about being jealous of a sibling. Who? Me? Jealous?, Lucky asked.
Nope, I just don't like 'em.

Brenda's Photo Shoot

Brenda was having a grand time posing in her red spaghetti strap while
the fashion photographer treated the idiotic videojournalist...like an
idiot. Enter Jax.

The shoot temporarily halted, and when Brenda went over to her ex, the
vid camera kept rolling. Jax asked her how she was after the previous
night's events, and when he noticed the camera, he demanded to be
handed the tape of their oh-so-private conversation. The director complied.
When Brain-dead asked Jax whassup, he played coy and left.

As Brenda was re-arranging her skirt for the next session, she jumped
out of her skin at the surprise sound of a shutter and automatic
rewind.

Later, when the session wrapped, Jax returned and again insisted the
film crew not tape him (note: hmmmmm). He and Brenda made a date
for lunch.

Before meeting Jax, Bren made a surprise visit to Nik's hospital
room to talk at him. Teld him that she's been in his shoes, offered
words of Brenda-wisdom that this will, in the long run, make
him stronger. Her leather jacket crackled throughout the scene,
forcing your fearless updater to burst into giggles.

Carly/Tony/AJ

Carly and Lorraine ran into each other in the lobby; Lorraine wanted
to know about her future GH status. Just as she was about to blow
her off, Carly changed her mind and decided she was glad to see her
blackmailer. Come again? Lorraine asked, and Carly told Lo that
she was the only person in PC who Carly had no secrets from. It was
a relief.

Anyhootey, Lo warned Carly about Tony's digging into her past,
Carly filled her pal in on her previous evening's blowout with
Dr. J. and how it revolved around Jason. At one point, Lorraine asks
if Carly and Jason ever.....no Carly says. (One secret left to go, eh?)
Lorraine suggested that maybe he was the fellow her friend should
be marrying, if he was so wonderful, and then left, with a reminder
to keep working Tony on a GH job.

Alexis was waiting in Tony's office to ask him if he could sneak her
info on Nikolas - Stefan'd forbidden his nephew's doctor to even
speak to her, let alone give her a report. Tony said he'd look into
it, and as Alexis left, Alan came in.

Tony told Alan how the scales were falling from his eyes about
Carly and how foolish he was to be made a fool of by a woman
so much his junior. Welcome to the club, Alan said.

Tony wanted Alan to suggest the best custody lawyer he knew,
and was informed that she just left his office (updater's nitpick: why
wouldn't Alan have suggested Justus? He's got a better track record
and the money stays in the family). His intention was to sue
Carly for full custody of the child.

AJ and Keisha met up in the hospital library; she was still pushing
him on France, but AJ again declined. After she bugged him about
Carly for the 50th time, he had enough to finally spill the goods,
and was about to when Alan barged in looking for Tony. (Note: guess
those drugs bring on short term memory lapse. Alan, Tony's in his
office where you left him). AJ invited him to stay for the big
revelation, but Alan had a, um, meeting.

And yes, folks, he really did tell her all.  Not that she was happy
to hear it.

Alexis had to beg Bobbie for info on Nik's condition; at the nurse's
station, she took a phone call from Tony, who asked her to
return to his office.
We next saw them mid-conference, and Alexis was telling him
it could get ugly, etc. Tony offered to dig up every bit of dirt
he could, and was again warned it could get ugly.

As Alexis left, Bobbie spied her and butted in to ask Tony
what the meeting was all about.

Carly was happy to run into AJ, until he handed her a court-ordered
paternity test.
