Luke is on the phone with Laura, sucking up in the way that
only a husband could "of course the Spencer headquarters is
not the same without the general.." As he hangs up, Lucky comes
in with a deposit for the safe. Luke breaks the news that
Spencer Jr doesn't have to go to Switzerland, and passes
on other family news-in-brief.

The two settle in for a father-son talk, and as expected, the
conversation moves on to the Webber twits, Sarah in
particular. Luke counsels patience.

Exit Lucky, enter Bobbie. She's got Carly on the brain.

Lorraine surprises Carly with a visit. Ms. Roberts invokes
her new mantra: "Stress is Bad for My Baby." Lorraine's
oblivious and starts in on pressuring Carly to help
her get a GH job.

Nik and Katherine meet up at the nurses' station; she tells
him she's prepping to leave Port Charles for good, and
moving to some undisclosed location.

Stefan has Mr. Soames, the INS guy, in his lair. He toys
with the man, who plays dumb. Stefan pinces at him; gotta
go, Soames claims, but Bat sits him down and pulls out
the faux Natasha immigration records and lays out the
question to the nervous agent: "I was recently lead to believe that
my sister is dead. What do know about that, Mr. Soames?"

Alexis is attempting to corral the hospital's chiefs for a board
meeting, so that her cousing can invite them to wish the Cassadine
Family a bon voyage; Edward and Tony indicate they'll attend
with bells on their toes. Edward says he'll demand an opology
for Ms. Bell.

As Nik was asking Katherine if she wasn't making a mistake
in leaving PC, ABC News broke in with a special report about
those septuplets. Huzzah. On the bright side, it gives your updater
an excuse to gloss over a Katybell scene.

When we get our soap back, Luke is expressing surprise
that Tony and Carly's wedding didn't come off. Bobbie
fills him in on all the gossip, and even defends her nemesis
against Luke's scepticism, describing the scene she walked
in on and became a part of on yesterday's show. Luke advises
the Bobbstress that finding compassion for and curiosity about
Carly is not in his sister's best interest.

Back at GH, Carly repeats her new mantra while also invoking
deep breathing exercises. Lorraine advises her to cut the crap,
and as she's threatening to expose her "friend," Tony opens
the door just enough hear just enough to make him suspicious.
(note from Clue Shop: ka-CHING.)
He puts a smile on and enters. Carly tries to get the nurse to
leave, but Lorraine's intent on staying put.

Katybell is saying more goodbyes, this time to Edward, who
intimates that Stefan is about to be taken down. Katherine
claims she couldn't care less.

Alexis, at the hospital still, makes a call to Leo and tells
him of Stefan's claim to George's whereabouts, and orders
him to track down the caretakers moves. Katherine
walks up to her while she's on the phone and starts
making threats.

Mr. Soames tells Stefan he's clueless about his sister, says
it's nothing to do with him, then gets up to leave. Stef stops
him dead by invoking the "I'll ask your superiors, then" mantra.
At which point the INS man whines. Stefan confronts him
with the misdeed of allowing one "Erik the Engineer" to
immigrate to the US. At which point the INS man pales.

Bobbie tells Luke she's rethinking Carly, and her search for
her daughter and all the over-rationalizing that she'd been doing.
Next, she announces that the Brownstone renovations are almost
done, and the conversation segues from there back to the
Cassadines. Luke specs that the Wyndemere set is about
to explode, courtesy of Alexis, and paints a thoughtful expression
when Bobbie asks "Are there any lies bigger than the ones we
tell the people we love?"

Back in Carly's room, Lorraine goes on about how much she
loves her work, even though she's not in it for the money,
kiss, kiss, etc. Tony notes on the mood change Carly always
has after a visit with her pal. After she leaves, his fee-ance
asks if he can do anything for the nurse. Tony says he's sure
he can do "something for Lorraine's career."

At the diner, Elizabitch is badgering Lucky to interfere
between Nik and Sarah. When he declines, she attempts
to guilt him, but it's a no-go.

Outside, a shivering Sarah is trying out her lines re:
the condom confrontation. Enter Nik, and she turns into
a quivering mass of jello. He hints that there's something
they need to communicate about. He asks if she got his "message,"
she says yeah, and sent one of her own, which Nik acknowledged
was "kind of hard to miss."

Wednesday Cliffhangers:

The teen lovebirds talk about his relatives' impending departure,
the upcoming holiday, and Nik, for the eleventh or so time in
the last week, says how much he can't wait for them to be alone
together. They hug.

As she's leaving Luke's club, Bobbie thanks her bro for not
letting her look at Caroline's pictures, and says she
hopes she never sees them. The second she's out the
door, Luke bolts for the safe and takes a peek, then
replaces them.

In Carly's room, she and Tony are rehashing their sorry
situation. As he's leaving he smiles when she thanks him
for helping Lorraine. In the hall, Tony bumps into Audrey
and tells her to declare Carly's room a "visitor free zone"
while he takes care of some business at Mercy.

Alexis tells Katherine she should be glad the Cassadines are
leaving PC. The two exchange more barbs and taunts,
and, in a nutshell, Katherine says she doesn't envy
her enemy's immediate future.

Stefan threatens to turn in Soames if his curiosity isn't
completely satisfied. The clerk starts singing "The Ballad of
Alexis."
