Edward and Jax meet outside Kelly's.  Jax says that he has clued his
father in on what's going on and Dad will help.  Ed's less than
thrilled, but hey what can he do but make threats about what
he'll do to Jax if Jax double crosses him [them].  [Does anyone
else find Ed's threats meaningless?  I mean when was the
last time he made good on one?]  The conversation then shifts to
Brenda!  Jax asserts his belief in her. [which he doesn't practice]
Ed complains that Bren, should be with people, never says
how she really feels and so on.  [A truly boring discussion]

Ned and Bren are at her house.  Ned suggests that they go to
the Outback to check out Dara's singing--maybe sign her
to L&B.  Bren is afraid she may run into reporters but decides
to go anyway.  Bren asks Ned about his life--Ned deflects
the question and denies that 'anyone' is on his mind.

At the Outback, Mac treats Filly frostily.  He snaps at Dara
when she makes an innocent remark that he doesn't like.
Mac and Filly have a pointless arguement, in front of patrons,
about table placement.  [call Mike and Moe: Furiniture Placement
Technicians]  Mac does his best to make Filly feel like dog do-do
for thinking for one second that he might have been Tess's
hubby.  Later Bren and Ned arrive, everyone looks at her and
murmers.  Filly apologizes profusely for suspecting that
Mac [an ex-mercenary soldier, after all!] could have been so
crass as to have abandoned a wife

Mac is less than gracious.  Filly wonders why Mac is [over]
reacting like he is--suddenly Mac claims he was just yanking
her chain--he was never *that* mad.   Bren empties the
butter boat over Dara and sets up a meeting to discuss what
a contract with L&B could do for her.  Ned goes to speak to
Mac [we never do find out why] and takes a call from Jax.  Jax
exhibits a bit of surprise that Bren managed to leave the
house without him.  Meanwhile, a blonde slithers up to Bren
and starts gushing like a teenybopper at Shawn Cassidy concert.
She then segues to bitchy, insulting and mean by wondering how
Brenda feels about the man who ruined 2 weddings and
abandoned her at the alter.  Bren snarls at her to get out of her
face.  The woman introduces herself, Joyce Barry reporter,
and begs for an exclusive interview.  This is like a match to
the gas and Bren lights into her like a pro.  Bren finishes her off
by threatening her and her paper with a lawsuit if they
print one word about this conversation .  [and I realize that there
are people who are more clueless than Brenda. If this is the
she goes after exclusive stories I'm surprised she has a job.]

Ned comes back and Joyce scurries away.  Bren declines his
help and says she can take care of herself.  Outside, Mac
asks Filly to notice that there is no real resemblance between
him and Jimmy's picture.  [did Filly tell Mac that the guy's
name is Jimmy?  i can't remember]  Tess walks up at that
moment and slaps him and unloads 8 years of recriminations.
She thanks Filly for finding him and leaves.

Alexis and Nik have a filler conversation about how NIk is
not going to back to Greece  and how loving someone
does not give a person the right to dictate their life.

Tony walks in on Carly and AJ.  He wants to know why Carly
has been crying and she lies.  Tony asks AJ what really happened
but Carly breaks in with yet a new lie but Tony won't buy it.
So Carly goes for a really big lie, subtly putting all blame on
AJ for her tears.  A skeptical Tony asks AJ for his version.
AJ agrees with Carly and she breathes a really obvious sigh of
relief--but then--he bursts out 'I can't Carly, I just can't' and
we have a cliffhanger.  We come back from commercials and
he's still not telling the truth just putting the blame on
Carly and getting a few pointed jibes off as well.  Tony accepts
it and goes into his paternal mode then brings up AJ's
confusion over the due date.  AJ attributes his mistake to his
confused state of mind and Tony goes to shower.  Carly is
ever so grateful, but AJ says he has conditions.  He is pissed
that Carly doesn't consider his feelings but she insists that
the baby isn't his *snicker*.  AJ tells her to pull no stunts,
to stay in town and put off the wedding until after the birth
and paternity tests.  Carly agrees.  Later AJ sits outside
Kelly's and stares at the sonnogram.  Carly sobs on Tony's
shoulder that nothing will keep her from marrying him this week.
