Subject: GH Update, 11/4, Tues. Date: 11/05 9:32 AM From: Kate Barry, kbarry@king.cts.com GH Update: Tuesday, Nov. 4 Scene #: 1) Mike & Moe, Furniture Placement Engineers, help indecisive Brenda pick a fireside spot for her sofa. Julia arrives with a housewarming bottle of Bolle, a cigarette dangling from her lip, and a 17-year-old Moroccan houseboy in tow. [Just kidding about the cigarette.] Jax [she says with a pronounced exhalation of breath; her secret passion for him is undeniable] told her where Brenda was. She really loves the house, reassuring her waffling sister, but has a limo waiting to wisk her back to London. Sad music plays as Brenda dons her brave little toaster face. 2) Ned arrives at Jax' door, wanting to join forces. Against? "The Cassadines," Ned hisses. Jax is intrigued. 3) At Wyndemere, Alexis checks that Stefan is not around. [Your updater has seen almost no GH since her last stint two weeks ago and has a lot of fun speculating about the following scene.] She enters a secret passage, sees some candles and runs back out. [At long last her chronic twitchiness is explained: she fears all things Gothic. Her secret master plan must involve smuggling in the huge new tropical plants. What's next, chia pets? Beanbag chairs?] Stefan: "Looking for these?" 4) The senior Spencer siblings are bantering at their homestead, with Bobbie fretting that Luke could have been shot or drowned. [Okay, another fun one...I'll guess: jello-vat with the gangster babes?] Unfortunately for me, Luke plays Exposition Man, explaining how he figured out that the papers were important because they were hidden in a crack in a wall, and that within 48 hours Bat or Igor will come calling and he'll be able to guess the rest. Meanwhile Bobbie's been turning the living room upside down, looking for a necklace Felicia's girls had been playing with and foolishly declining a toasted PB & Banana sandwich from Luke the anti-cook. For some reason this necklace induces a flashback to the day she caught Carly trying on her things in her bedroom (even though it's a different necklace) and a flashback to walking in on Carly & Tony having their first flirtatious dance. She 'splains to big bro how she thinks about moving back to the Brownstone but keeps seeing Carly there. 5) Carly calls Virginia Benson, who's thrilled, healthy, and grateful for the money Carly's been wiring her. C announces her impending nuptials to beaming Ma B, but cuts it short when Tony arrives home unexpectedly. Virginia telephones Mrs. Jones. 6) Bobbie tells Luke about her memories, getting good and mad and fantasizing about going after Carly with a baseball bat. Luke tells her she's gotta stop this now. Bobbie traces her anger to the run-in she had with Carly recently, where Carly inexplicably taunted B about the baby she'd given up. 7) Ned & Jax close a deal wherein Jax gets 50% of ELQ Djakarta if he helps Ned get it back. [HappyhappyjoyjoyBringBackTracy!] 8) Brenda & Julia share a tearful goodbye, making lots of promises and declaring their love. Julia takes a parting shot about the sofa placement. 9) Ned arrives at Bren's house. Hugs & apologies for his absence. B blames herself for believing Sonny,& feels like an idiot. Ned reassures her. B realises that love with Sonny rarely ever actually felt good like it should. They have a "best friend"-ly talk. 10) Alexis takes back her papers nonchalantly and Stefan fills her in on Luke's antics and motives, assuring Alexis that he'd disposed of The Gun. They discuss leaving for Greece with meaningful looks. [Okay, what's that all about? Are the jello-vats in Greece? Perhaps they're excited about seeing "Grease"?] Dramatic music plays as, his eyes alight and predatory, he huskily speaks of his complete trust in her. She winces and beats it, as he watches. He calls someone for the copied documents. 11) Tony the Maroon babbles. Carly wants to make out. Heavy music with rattlesnake percussion plays as Uncle Luke arrives scowling at her door. "You just don't know when enough is enough, do you, Caroline?" 12) Virginia calls Bobbie. [I assume this has been rehashed recently like everything else, but in case not, Bobbie believes that Virginia is cuckoo. Little does she realise that Virginia is really telemarketing for the Clue Shop.] B learns that V was sick last April, hospitalised after her stroke, and that V wants to find Caroline. B does great facial contortions trying to remain tactful and get off the phone. [B also believes Caroline to be dead] V tells her that Caroline is getting married, and that she has photos of C for B. 13) Luke warns Carly against throwing dead daughters in Bobbie's face. C gives a little lip, but he threatens to tell and she believes him. Tony surprises her with a marriage license and she gives him her desperate loving hug routine. 14) Benda and Ned have more sweet friend stuff. She refuses any furniture loans, wanting to pick and buy it all herself. He gives her more compliments and support, concluding with "You're a survivor, Brenda. It's going to take a lot more than Sonny Corinthos to bring you down." She remembers the anniversary of her wedding to Jax and thinks she should have handled things differently. But enough about her, how is he doing? "Just jetlagged," he lies, changing the subject to photos of BrookeLynn and proudly bragging. Jax arrives and Ned leaves. Brenda learns of Ned's subsidiary loss. 15) Alexis shreds documents. 16) At his laptop, Stefan traces numbers back to George. 17) Bobbie gives Virginia her address: 1242 Elm St., PC NY 16543 for the photos. V adds that she no longer has any reservations about Caroline meeting her birth mother and God-Blesses Bobbie. 18) Jax gets the usual disgruntling news from Jerry the Cell Phone. He comments on the sofa. Bren plans to sleep on it. 19) Stefan directs a lackey to bring George secretly from Greece to the retreat house. 20) Carly weeps. [Sometimes these updates just write themselves.] Tony suggests Nov. 14 for a wedding day, and lays it on way too thick by babbling about how it's too bad their baby can't have at least one grandparent alive. 21) Bobbie tells Luke about Virginia's call. -Kate the blithely ill-informed updater
