....Waiting for Guza....

Update for "The Brenda Barrett Misery Hour" (formerly known as
"General Hospital") for Monday Oct. 27, 1997

  The Brender Show--
At Jax's place, after scarfing down some Chinese food, Bren
thanks Jax for bringing Julia to town. "Aw, shucks, Brender,
t'warn't nuthin'" our Aussie hero modestly replies. As she goes
off (presumably to vomit up her chow so she can keep her
model-slim
figure) Jax makes goony eyes at her departing form.
Julia appears at the door. Now it's her turn to fawn over Jax.
She regrets that it's taken so long for her and Bren to get
together. Gee, Jax, you're so special for getting us together.
Aw, shucks, Julia, t'warn't nuthin'.
Jax leaves and the sisses bond over room-service cookies.
When
she leaves, Bren recounts for Jax the time Julia salvaged a photo
of their Mom from an old passport for Bren. She's never thanked
Julia for all the nice things she did for little sis. Brenda
sheds
some crystal tears lamenting her tragic life while Jax goes there
there. Someday Brenda will figure it all out.

  Munster Mansion (aka Windy-mere)--
Ned is waiting for Alexis. Why is he here? "I think you know,"
he responds silkily. Ulp. But no, he's not suspicious, just
horny.
He wanted to see her before going home to get his chops busted by
the Qs--the Jakarta deal went south. It looks like a case of
internal sabotage--Ned vows to get the baddie who done him wrong.
He will "make them pay". Still the trip wasn't a total loss--he
had her late night phone messages to look forward to. They
imagine
sailing off together somewhere--if only they didn't have all those
pesky family obligations. Stefan arrives to interrupt their
tete-a-tete.

****at this time, the program was interrupted for 20 -30 minutes
for an ABC report on the stock market crisis***

When the program resumed, Ned was magically transported to the
bar at the PC Hotel, catching up on ol' times with Julia. He
apologizes for past wrongs done her and she accepts. Julia
inquires if he's seeing anyone and he answers cryptically
(spending
too much time around those Cassadines) "Possibly."

Back at Munster Mansion, Igor is snippy with Drac. Drac
apologizes for making her feel like a servant.

  The Outback--
Mac and Felicia banter. She thanks him for coming to her rescue
over the Lonnie thing, but hey--she's a big girl and can take care
of herself. Luke enters and asks Mac what he knows about a
certain
gun that went missing from police custody.
Kat walks in. "You found me!" Luke crows, grabbing her. Kat
tells him that Stefan has won and she has no more interest in
revenge. So that must mean Luke will have no more use for her.
After the ABC interruption, Kat is back on track, asking Luke
what the chances are of locating the gun. (Luke must have done
some powerful persuading.) He asks if she's now ready to admit
that Bat pulled the trigger. Coyly, she answers that if he can
find the gun, she will press charges.
Meanwhile, Felicia gets a phone call from a woman who needs a
private eye. The woman's husband is missing and she wants help
finding him. She holds a photo of him in her hand, and the guy's
a
ringer for Mac.

   The End!
