Subject: GH: Update for Fri 10/17/97 Date: 10/18 11:13 PM From: John R. Andrews, jandrews@uic.edu GH Update for 10/17/97 By John R. Andrews, UIC Scene 1 Sarah lies to Lizzie telling her she wants Lizzie's help to prove that Nikolas did steal the exam and framed her. At first, Lizzie tries to get Sarah to forget the whole thing, but Sarah draws her into an alleged scheme to get even. Scene 2 At the Outback, Mac and Felicia fawn over Maxie after her successful school presentation. Scene 3 Also there, Stephan continues to steam to Alexis as Luke and Katy lunch nearby. Eventually, he storms out much to Luke's delight. Scene 4 Jax tells a particularly busty Brenda that he's got someone coming she'll want to see. "Not Sonny," she snaps. He assures her he'd never bring Sonny back, but he is sure someday Sonny will reappear, and she'd better be ready to face him. He leaves. Scene 5 Mac agrees to put the kids to bed if Felicia closes up the Outback. Scene 6 Luke gloats to Katherine that Stephan was irritated. She is less than thrilled at the whole situation, but Luke confidently predicts Stephan will be back to see her soon. Scene 7 Alexis phones Ned and leaves a rather intimate voice mail message just as Luke plops himself down at her table. Scene 8 Sarah tells Lizzie she wants to plant the new English test on Nikolas. She says he told her Lizzie was to blame, but she didn't believe him, they being sisters and all. At that, Lizzie agrees to steal the new test for her. Scene 9 Luke banters flirtingly with Alexis making an obvious attempt to stir up envy and resentment over Stephan's superior position in their family. Scene 10 Katherine stomps around her place until there's a knock on the door; predictably, it's Stephan. He demands she stop seeing Luke who's only using her he claims to hurt him. She tells him if she's really nothing to him how can Luke use her to hurt him. Scene 11 Brenda tells Jax maybe it's time for her to leave, but Jax convinces her he wants her there while she recovers. She agrees to stay, and they begin to discuss Brenda's sister Julia. When Brenda tells him that Julia and she were never close, Jax becomes anxious. Scene 12 Felicia gives Mac his marching orders and sends them home. Maxie gives her mother the little doll for luck. After they leave, Felicia puts the figure on the shelf while the mysterious man sitting at the bar watches. Scene 13 Luke continues to jab at Alexis about her apparent subordinate position in the Cassadine clan. He also questions her about Katy's precipitous fall from grace. Eventually, a weary Alexis asks to drop their usual cat-and-mouse routine and says she doesn't know what he wants. When she gets a call looking for Stephan, Luke's eyes light up at the thought that Stephan probably went to Katy's. Scene 14 Lizzie works on stealing the test from the teacher's desk. Scene 15 Brenda tries to guess who Jax arranged to bring to PC. When Brenda answers the door, it's Julia. "Oh, my God," Brenda gasps, "It's you." Scene 16 Luke stands on the docks looking at Windemere and ponders getting his gun back from Stephan. Scene 17 Meanwhile, Stephan continues to browbeat Katherine, but she gives him back a good shot as well saying he can't keep away from her. Scene 18 As Lizzie paws through the teacher's briefcase, Sarah confronts her, and after some questioning proves to herself that Lizzie had done it before and so must have been the one who framed Sarah. Scene 19 The Outback is bustling as the Statue-Man still sits eyeing the little doll. Scene 20 After literally slamming the door in Julia's face, Brenda turns and glares daggers at a sheepish Jax. Scene 21 As Luke prepares to head for Windemere, Alexis walks up. Scene 22 Katherine goes on the offensive saying Stephan still wants her and kissing him passionately. He responds but eventually pushes her away saying she was pathetic. He repeated his warning that Luke was just using her as a pawn in Luke's and his private war. As he starts to leave, Katy orders him, "Stop, don't make me play my trump card."
