A Family Affair:

Luke visited Carly and congratulated her on her impending bundle
of joy, but chastized her for not telling him about the blessed event
herself. Actually, he was pretty pissed - raked her over the coals
about how she's been rubbing the baby into Bobbie's nose.
In the middle of their argument, Lorraine called and told Carly
to pay up, or else.

MYOB, Carly said; psychic Luke figured she was in some kind of
trouble and kind of, sort of, offered help. Carly ix-nayed that,
and took a break to sign for a package being delivered to AJ.
Luke demonstrated his amazing connect-the-dots psychic powers -
AJ...package...delivery...AJ...package - and demanded to know what was
going on with his niece and the young Q. She navigated her way
around the question, and invited him to leave. Luke informed her
that he'd just ask AJ. Go ahead, she told him. Before he
left, Luke reminded her of the precious Spencer genes she
was carrying.

I'm So Happy That I Can't Stop Crying:

Brenda was starting to have a flashback when Jax knocked
on the gatehouse door. She answered it and announced that
she was, of this very morning, completely over Sonny. (Updater's
note: cough, cough.)

Jax was a little skeptical, but Brenda blathered on about how
she was done grieving and had her wonderful friends to thank -
Jax included. The two head out for lunch.

If You See a Faded Sign at the Side of the Road That Says Fifteen
Miles to the Outback

Filly and Maxie stopped in to visit Mac and talked about Maxie's
upcoming Show & Tell presentation at school. While they were
in the middle of gabbing about how they couldn't figure out
how the indian doll wound up in the place Maxie found it, the child
veered left and asked Mac to be her dad.
In clarification, Maxie wanted him to be "dad for a day" for the
presentation. He was honored. The women headed off.

Dara mosey'd up to the bar and her conversation with Mac was
mostly about her stage fright. In walks Jason, and the two were
all a-twitter at the new mob-lord's presence.

Later, Filly came back and lighty flirted with Mac, but when
he asked her if she wanted to go out for a movie, she said she
was "too busy with:" and held up Maxie's doll (updaters note: That
doll sticking up in her hand looked mighty phalic. And she called
it a 'him.' We've come a long way indeed.).

Jason, dining, took a phone call from Emily, who was reporting
on Brenda's day. At that time, Brenda & Jax were walking into
the restaurant; Brain-Dead, who was now totally and completely
over Sonny, marched up to Jason and demanded he hand her the phone.
She pitched a hissy fit and grabbed it - then apologized to Emily
and ran out. Jax swaggered up to Jason, looked threatening, then
went after Brenda and offered his services as Chief Brenda
Comforter. (hug-hanger)

My Kid Beat Up Your Honor Roll Student

Nik & Sarah were discussing his theory on Lizzie's exam
cheating frame-up when the Webber in question busted in,
ribbed him some, then bounced over to Lucky to pout about
her sister's naiveté. Lucky disappointed her by sticking up
for Sarah. Lizzie played young Spencer like a fiddle, agreeing
that the Cassadine was exerting an evil influence.

Meanwhile, Sarah was trying not to listen to Nik explain
why he thought it was Lizzie who took the test. After
a teacher dragged Nik off to the principal's office (what
a hoot!), Elizabitch wanted to know what filthy lies he told
about her. Sarah kept mum. Lizzie played nice and suggested
her sister drop the whole incident, but roused Sarah's suspicion
when she remarked on the "Lucky Pen."

These kids must love their student lounge; Sarah was still
there when Nik returned, and the two resolved to find out
who planted the exam. (sneak-hanger)

A Family Affair part 2

Alan came down to the hospital gym to hassle AJ for wrecking the
planet. When Monica intervened, Q. Sr. left and popped a dose of his
pain medication (chewables, I guess). Monica begged AJ to tell
his dad the truth behind his recent bout of non-drunkeness, but
AJ refused, on grounds that he didn't trust Alan w/the info, plus
he didn't want the world to know that Carly had duped him.

Alan re-entered with a 180 degree attitude adjustment, talking
about handball. Monica split, and as Alan was about to, AJ asked
him to stay, and as he may or may have not been about to spill
the beans, Carly came in to deliver his package from AA. She
expressed some worry; AJ blew her off, then left.

Lorraine then arrived to again demand payment from "Snarly."
As the two traded barbs and threats, AJ came back. (cliff-hanger)
