Update of General Hospital for Monday Oct. 6 1997

  AJ's apartment--
AJ remembers the sonogram appointment and getting the papers
that indicated (he thinks) that he is not the baby's father. Does
he look sad? Monica arrives unexpectedly--she wants to apologize.
AJ tells her not to worry--even he didn't know there was no slip
until Keesha convinced him to find out. He invites her in and they
have a nice heart-to-heart. She's concerned that he is right
across
the hall from Carly. "Carly has no power here," he tells her.

Meanwhile, at the wench's across the hall, she and Lorraine are
"discussing" their arrangement. Dr. Clueless bumbles in and both
girls make nice. Carly pleads being tired to get rid of Lo, who
ducks into the bathroom while Tony asks for an explanation. Carly
plays dumb. Before leaving, Lo manages to find a way to bring
Bobbie's name into the conversation before Snarly "escorts" her
out. In the hallway, they take up where they left off before. Lo
demands her money by noon tomorrow or else Dr. Tony and AJ will
both get an earful. "Bye, Mom," she taunts.

Carly feels bad and for some unknown reason decides to knock on
AJ's door. Guess who answers. Monica tears into her, wondering
how she even dare show her face here. Carly insists she still
cares about AJ. Monica tells her to take a hike.

AJ gets Monica to admit that it was Carly at the door. He again
tells her that Carly can't hurt him. AJ tries to explain that he
doesn't want Carly's defenseless baby to be caught in the middle
of
this messy business.

Carly's back in her own place. She finds Tony caressing a
picture of BJ. It would have been her 11th birthday today. Carly
tries to comfort him, asks him to touch her pregnant belly and
think of their baby. He can't bring himself to do it, and
tearfully goes into the bedroom to get a little space.

  The Spencer household--
Luke is back, wearing a three-day growth of beard and the hat of
a Brooklyn street kid from an old Jimmy Cagney movie. He gives
Lucky a touching greeting ("I hoped you'd've torched the place by
now.") and meets Lizzie BRAT. She vamooses so the guys can bond.
Luke gives his son a hard time about Laura and LesleyLu. He
catches up with Bobbie.
Bobbie brings him up to speed on what he's missed--Sonny
dumping
Brenda, etc. He says maybe Sonny got smart. Just when we're
reminded of what an insensitve @ss he can be, he has to do
something nice and ask Bobbie how she's holding up--he remembers
that it's BJ's birthday. Bobbie gets a phone call from Tony--they
connect for a few minutes as they remember their daughter.
Later, Bobbie drops the big bombshell. Carly's pregnant.
Luke's
jaw hits the floor.

  Audrey's house--
Audrey tells Bratsie that she's grounded for a week for lying
about her whereabouts this evening. Brat says she only thinking
about Sarah, who is totally taken in by this Nik guy. The two
smoochy-faced teens in question (think of all the nausea I saved
you by condensing their earlier scenes in this one sentence)
appear. Nik tells Audrey that he did not really steal the test
answers, but only admitted to the crime to save Sarah from being
falsely accused. HE plans to find out who the real culprit is.
Later he confronts Liz as she sneaks a smoke and disses Gatsby
(that girl is such a B@TCH!) that he knows she was the one to
blame
for stealing the test.

  Windy-mere--
Kat lies at the bottom of the stairs as Alexis rushes down to
revive her. Stef appears and starts barking orders. Stroking
Kat's hair, he speaks gently to her. She opens her eyes--"You are
such a liar," she mutters. "For a man who has no use for me, you
sure sounded upset." Stef makes out it was all a tiresome
inconvenience. Kat doesn't believe--she knows somehow Alexis is
behind all of this. As God is her witness, she will somehow track
down the truth! (Blame me for this nod of the head to Scarlett
O'Hara--I just couldn't help myself.)
Drac grills Igor once the Kat departs. He knows the distaste
she harbors for Kat is no act. Is she sure that Katherine really
"fell"? Alexis says she's not in the mood to answer these
questions. "Then leave," the moody Mr. Rochester--that is,
Cassadine--commands.

  The End!
