UPDATE THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 25

1. NON-WEDDING FALLOUT

At the Penthouse, Jason goes to the door.  It's Mike.  He wants to know
where Sonny is.  Jason stonewalls, then leaves and Mike looks at pictures of
Sonny and cries.

[Emmy stuff!]

Jason comes back.  Mike complains that they knew Sonny was disappearing
when he brought the present.  They should have told him.  Jason says he
isn't happy with what they did. Mike knows Sonny is not coming back.
Jason tells Mike Sonny wanted to help him if his business gets in trouble.
Mike gets mad, that's not why he wanted Sonny around.  He knows Sonny is
not coming back.  Jason tells Mike Sonny loves him.  Mike says one
afternoon is not enough.  "You tell him that his father needs to know
where he is."  [WOW!]

2. THE A.J. FOLLIES

Edward is on the Quartermaine phone trying to reach Brenda.  Lila and
Alan are worried about her.  They fret about A.J.  Alan is so upset he
forgets his education and grammar... "we found him *laying* in an
alley."  [Your Fearless Updater winces.  Remember, if someone "lays down"
they're doing something obscene to a chicken.]  Lila is sure there's a
reason why A.J. isn't at rehab.  Alan is telling Edward off when Monica
suddenly appears, happy to note nothing ever changes.  Emily has stayed
behind in Rome with a friend of hers from Arizona.  She loved Rome.
Edwrad harrumphs about Brenda: "If that doesn't cure her, nothing will."
[Is that the Ominous Knell of Doom I heard?]

Monica asks how A.J. is doing in rehab.  Alan tells her he didn't go to
the clinic.  Lila and Edward leave so the parents can discuss this.  Alan
has washed his hands of A.J.  Monica is angry that Alan didn't tell her.
Lila reappears to tell them she thinks A.J. had a reason to stay.  She tells
about A.J. asking if he was really Alan's son.  Alan doesn't believe
there is a reason, and he leaves for work.

3. CARLY TWISTS

At the gym, Carly goes to see A.J., hoping he'll reconsider the
sonogram.  She tells him it will be at Mercy.  He wants it at GH.
She insists on Mercy.  Keesha the Harpy comes in.  She spars with Carly.
Carly leaves.  Keesha tells A.J. off for talking to Carly.  [Your
Fearless Updater sees Keesha as a very jealous woman.]  A.J. tells her to
back off.  They fight.  A.J. asks Keesha not to tell about Carly.

4. PATHETIC

Stefan tells Katherine "You are correct in your observation ...
it's not because of my great passion for you.. on the contrary, I have no
feelings for you at all.  I never have."  Katherine is pathetic.  She
whines and begs.  Stefan tells her it was all about staying out of
prison.  Your Fearless Updater fights nausea.

5. WITHERING DEPTHS

Mr. Murty asks "Why aren't Katherine and Heathcliff together at the end
of chapter 9?"  Nik answers without raising his hand, and the class
giggles.  Murty suggests that he raise his hand and attend class.  Murty
holds Nik after class, and Lucky takes Sarah for a coke. [Product placement?]

They talk about Nik.  Sarah defends him and stalks off.  Liz advises
Lucky to sit back and stop attacking Nik.

Sarah finds Nik in detention.  He can't figure out public school.  She
tries to tell him about fitting in.  Nik asks her to Wyndemere that
night.  They nearly kiss but the bell rings.

DeeDee [?] teases Lucky about Sarah choosing "a rich, sexy, dangerous
hunk like that" and Lucky doesn't take it at all well.

Murty comes through class, patting his briefcase and telling the teens
that the test is important and all the answers are right there.  We look
at Liz, considering this.
