Goldilocks and the 3 Cassadines (well, just 2 today)

Katherine woke up, but something about Stefan's bed was off
a bit; he wasn't in it. Still it was just her size, and so was
his silk robe she slapped on; she proceeded downstairs to make
business calls. Alexis entered in full Mama Bear mode
and wanted to know who's bed Katybell'd been sleeping
in. Kat wasted zero time in informing her rival/potential
in-law. The two were fabulously snarky toward each
other; Alex made a false apology for her nosiness, Katherine
made a false acceptance, then went on to rub Alexis' nose
in it all.

At the hospital, we heard one side of a conversation in
which Stefan expressed his gratitude to someone he
addressed as "Officer."

Alexis burst in, demanding to know what the h-e-double
toothpicks he was doing, sharing a bed with Katybell.
"It ends today," he promised, and then assured her
he hadn't done the deed that plants a seed.

Stefan then hopped the PC Transporter out to Spoon
Island to have a sit down with the object of his
affection. Kat grabbed the bull, using her amazing,
intuitive power, said she knew there was something
Stefan was hiding from her.

Goldilocks, par deux

Jax, OTOH, woke rested at the Malibu Dream House and
greeted V., who didn't catch a wink. She was up all night,
sketching beach animals. Jax inspected her work and they
constructed a storyline of a wounded bird and a bummin'
dog who become friends and help each other out. (your
updater would love to go into details, really, but I'm
getting all choked up from Jax' interpretation.)
V shyly thanked Jax for putting so much thought
into her work, then he announced it was time
to head back east.

Still more Grim Fairy Tales

The brunette du jour, Brenda, faced the day by first
ordering Jason to remove all of the Sonny-related
contents of the bridal suite, including a scrumptious
diamond bracelet, a long-ago gift from her ex-fiance.
She immdediate lapsed into the first of today's
S & B Flashback Extravaganza - meeting (and
blowing off) Sonny. Some highlights:

Flashback 1:

He: I'm Sonny Corinthos
She: and I'm leaving

Flashback 2:

She: I'm 18, you have a problem with that?
He: Not even a little

Flashback 3:

He skids a car to a halt; she looks bewildered; they kiss.

Flashback 4:

He: No turning back
She: I won't break, I promise
(love scene)

Flashback 5: (set to Chris Isaak)

more loves scenes that prominently feature the tennis bracelet

Flashback 6:

Puerto Rico danger scenes wipe into Puerto Rico beach/love scenes

Flashback 7:

She: Do you have any idea how much I love you....(giggle, giggle)
you really can't say it, can you?
He: How many times I gotta tell you sweetheart, it ain't the
words that count, it's the action.
Eventually, he spit it out.

Flashback 8:

The Lullabye Massacree (without the lullabye)

Flashback 9: The infamous confrontation over her wearing a wiretap in
Sonny's presence.

She: (screaming) I love you
He: (shaking her and screaming) You turned me into my step-father!
Is that what you want?

Flashback 10: (outside Miguel's room at Ruby's - Brenda is dressed
in a towel)

She: Why don't you speak English?
He: In English? I said you're a whore.

Flashback 11: (outside Luke's club, where Brenda is attempting to
enter on Miguel's arm)

He: I will not tolerate disrespect from you....
She: Go to hell

Flashback 12:

The kiss. That kiss. Just prior to Sonny's deal with the devil, Lily's
dad. Let me quote one of RatsaGH's favorite novels:

"There have been five great kisses since 1642 B.C., when Saul and
Delilah Korn's inadvertant discovery swept across Western civilization.
(Before then, couples hooked thumbs.) And the precise rating of kisses
is a terribly difficult thing, often leading to great controversy, because
although everyone agrees with the formula of affection times purity
times intensity times duration, no one has ever been completely
satisfied with how much weight each element should receive. But
on any system, there are five that everyone agrees that deserve
full marks.
"Well, this one left them all behind." - Wm. Goldman _The Princess
Bride_

His buckling knees said it all.

Flashback 13: (post deal)

She: Why can't you just let yourself be with me?...Don't
you want to kiss me now?
He did.

Flashback 14: (the goodbye in the rain)

He: A long time ago I swore that no child of mine would ever
have to live with a big hole in his heart the way I did...as God
is my witness, I love you with all my heart, but I can't do
that, I won't.
She (after another lingering kiss): Be a good father. Make it
worth it.

Flashback 15:

Sonny's first, casual proposal

Flashback 16: (Sonny's formal, second proposal)

He: Will you be my wife?
She: There really is no other option for me.

Flashback 17: Dancing, the night before the wedding.

Flashback 18: pre-ceremony, in the bridal chamber, last
minute prep

Flashback 19: Entering with Edward, walking the aisle; Jason
enters the chapel

Flashback 20:

She: He hurt?
Jason: He's fine.

Flashback 21: back outside the chapel

She: I want you to take me back to the penthouse, right now and
I don't care if I sit in front of the door for a month, I'm gonna sit
there and wait for him to come back, he's gonna tell me why he
did this.
Jason: You can sit in front of the door until the day you die. Sonny's
gone, he's not coming back.
She: Why don't you just tell me exactly what it is he told you
to tell me, exactly.
Jason: He said to tell you it was a great ride.

Flashback 22: Brenda stands at the church door, facing the rain.

Flashback 23: Brenda sits in the anti-room, despondent.

Back in the present, Sonny was sitting pensively in a limo's
back seat when Jason hopped in, handed him the tennis bracelet
and gave him an update on his beloved, filling him in on the events
of the wedding he missed.

He: She hates me?
Jason: She hates me, too.
He: I don't care.

Jason pledged to look out for Brenda's safety, then the conversation
moved to this pair's separate futures. Sonny planned to head back
to Puerto Rico, and Jason was busy closing up his employer's
accounts. Sonny more or less passed the torch, and gave Jason
his final instructions: to tell the pilot he was ready to leave
Puerto Chuck.
