UPDATE THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 18

THE LONGEST DAY CONTINUES

1. KAT/BAT
It's still Katherine's birthday.  She's loving the ring.  She cuddles up to
Stefan.  Nik comes in and wishes her a happy birthday.  They have spent the
day on the yacht.  Nik didn't go to school because he has a question for
Stefan (yeah, that's logical.)  Katherine explains that he's supposed to
go to school.  Stefan explodes: "This public school business is completely
inconsequential."  Katherine leaves so Nick can ask what Stefan had to do
with Steve Hardy's death.  Stefan wants to know who told him.  He
explains that he had no control over Lulu's illness [Your Fearless
Updater doesn't know whether to believe this or not] and GH was already in
trouble when they came.  Nik goes to change clothes, and Katherine comes in,
explaining that she can't stay, there's a problem with the Deception
campaign [Hey, at least she has a model, if Brian hasn't gotten too
swell-headed!]  Katherine is thrilled about her birthday.  They kiss.
[Eeeewww!]

Alexis is sitting there.  Stefan promises to end it completely.  She
manufactured the Deception crisis.  "ELQ and Deception will survive."
Aha.  Alexis hadn't known he was raiding ELQ. She is worried about taking
an adversarial role with the Quartermaines.  "Is it strictly business or
is it getting Ned out of town?"  Blonde-blinded Stefan is surprised.
"What could you possibly have in common with him?"  "Eccentric
families."  She mentions the thankless task of taking care of people for
their own good.  "Yes." Agrees Blind Stefan.  "Sometimes it's
necessary."  He agrees it's right without realizing he's talking about
himself.

2. THE BUTCHER, THE BAKER, THE CANDLESTICK MAKER
Maxie tells Felicia she's sick.  [A sly child.  Your Fearless Updater doesn't
like "sly."  (Though she loved Sly, *sniff*!)] Mac calls Felicia and
wants to know who she's going to the wedding with.  Dara comes to the
Outback and suggests a double date.  Mac actually doesn't believe that
Felicia has a date, but just then, a guy in a tux comes into the Outback.

Maxie wants to know if Mac and Felicia are fighting.  Felicia goes off to
take a shower and Maxie sneaks the figurine out.  Felicia sees it and
takes it.  She tells her Sneaky Daughter that lying is wrong, and she is
being punished.

The tux guy is a fireman.  Another dressed-up guy comes in.

Felicia gives Betty instructions.  She promises wedding cake to the
kids.  [A promise never properly addressed in the coming week!]

At the Outback, Katherine comes in to talk to Brian.  [Ah.  Indeed, his
head HAS swollen.]  Nik comes in and Katherine argues with him about
missing school, but you see, Nik already read WUTHERING HEIGHTS when he
was 12, and the only class he has is English, and he knows it all, and,
and,... he figures Sarah is the only person who will notice he's gone.
Katherine explains he's supposed to go to school.  However, you see, Nik is
unlike any other teenager, and knows it all already.

A third dress-up guy comes in.  Felicia comes in and sees Mac.  He tells
her she looks elegant and it's a good thing too... as he takes her to her
three dates.  Who have been talking, and they all leave.

3. GETTING READY FOR >>THE WEDDING<<

Sonny is talking to Jason.  They found Reese.  Sonny calls Reese, who
says his friendly call to Brenda was merely a reminder.  Sonny tells him
to walk away.  He's sending him to Hong Kong.  Sonny asks how Reese got
Brenda's cell phone number.

Jason says he's giving Sonny security for his wedding present.  Sonny
agrees this is "a lot more useful than china."  Jason wants to go check
out security, and he tells Sonny not to go out.  Sonny looks at Brenda;s
passport.  Brenda comes down.  They hug.

Brenda has packed.  She wants to keep the wedding dress.  She still has
the bracelet he gave her.  There's mushy stuff, then the phone rings.
It's Lucy, wanting to know where Brenda is.  Sonny gives Brenda an ankle
chain. Brenda leaves.  They say goodbye.  Jason comes in and sends Sonny
up to change.

Lucy frets over her dress.  No matter how traditional it is, she doesn't
want to be in her underwear.  Brenda says "NOTHING is going to ruin this
day." The Ominous Knell of Doom momentarily deafens Your Fearless Updater.
Lucy gets a bad vibe, a "pre-premonition."

Lucy tells Brenda about the Red Wedding dress and all Brenda is
interested in was did Lucy love Alan. Brenda saunters off to the church
to gloat and to say "hi" to Stone.  "We made it."

Sonny sees a small flower and he has a vision of Brenda blowing up like
Lily.
