  Update for General Hospital--Monday 9/15/97

  Previously on GH:  AJ confronts Carly at the airport/
                     Stefan realizes that Kat might be his
                      sister

Jax's hideaway in the islands--
   Jax teases V to tell him her name.  She informs him that
she hates her first name and never tells anyone what it is.
He goes through all the V names he can think of.  She tries
putting him off, but inadvertantly slips him a clue and he
guesses correctly--"Venus".
   She's disappointed that he guessed.  Her name always
represented a goddess, and she's always felt the total
opposite of one, tomboyish and without glamor.  Jax tells
her that she is beautiful and that the original Venus has
nothing on her.

Sonny's place--
  "Mr. Reese" explains that Hernando Rivera took a contract
out on Sonny's life and members of "the brotherhood" that
Reese belongs have sworn to uphold that.  Reese is aware of
Soony and Brenda's plan to escape after the wedding.
Neither Sonny not his bride will ever be safe.  Jason pulls
a gun on him and threatens to shoot him first.  Sonny tells
him to let Reese go.
   Once Reece gets the bum's rush, Jason and Sonny
argue--JAson's sure he can keep his friend safe.  Sonny
thinks different.  Brenda enters the room, but Sonny
convinces her that nothing is wrong.
   Later, in bed, Sonny lies awake.  Brenda asks if he is
afraid to leave.  He tells her no--but he's afraid to live
without her.

  Stefan and Kat--
   Stef has to tell her something, but she wants to go
first.  She goes through a lot of stuff on when they first
met, etc., etc., and how she always knew, yadda,
yadda--anyway, she loves him.  She has been feeling him
pull away each time they get close.  He has to be able to
share his troubles with her if they are ever going to be
close.  She reminds him of her upcoming birthday--is saving
something important to tell her that day?
  Later, Alexis asks Stef if he "told her" yet.  Stefan
says it was impossible just then, but he will do what needs
to be done, as always.

  Bobbie's mountain cabin--
  Bobbie's sitting on the porch when Tony arrives.  They
reminisce about some old times together until he announces
that he and Carly are about to fly to Vegas to elope.
Bobbie wishes she could congratulate him, but admits to
having reservations.  Tony tells her that he misses being
part of a family--being a husband and father have always
been the most rewarding parts of his life.  He realizes
that he and Carly might not be marrying at all if it
weren't for the baby.  He wants to be
responsible--something seems to click for him when he says
that.  He asks Bobbie not to mention anything yet to Lucas,
then slips away.

  The airport--
  AJ tells Carly he finally remembers what happened between
them "that night".  She tries to tell him it's all in his
head, hypnosis-induced fantasies.  AJ knows better.
"You're all out of lies.  All that's left is the truth."
   "How could you?" Carly demands, as though he betrayed
her.  "How could you do this to me when I was so close?"
   She explains that she had to pull her tricks on him.
She had to protect her relationship with Tony.  AJ tells
her that he has every intention of informing Tony the first
chance he gets.  She pleads with him not to--her baby needs
a father, and Tony is the best chance it has.
   "Are you telling me that this could be my baby?"  AJ
demands.
    Carly assures him that the baby is Tony's--after all,
she's due in December and she and AJ had their fling in
April--that's only seven months, doncha know.  (Maybe I
heard this wrong--counting on my fingers, it comes out to
eight.)
   When AJ is temporarily distracted by someone he knows,
Carly flashes back to memories of Tony telling her that he
knows the baby was conceived on that night that she
returned from "visiting her sick friend" (the night of the
AJ tryst).  Carly looks sick herself, remembering.  She
begs AJ not to punish her baby, just because he's angry
with her.
   Tony's been a good friend--AJ doesn't want to keep a
secret of this magnitude from him.  Little Miss
Two-Guys-In-One-Night works on AJ's guilt real good.  Does
he want to take Tony's dream away from him?  AJ looks torn.
All of a sudden You-know-who shows up and looks surprised
to see AJ.  "What are you doing here?"  Tony wonders.
