TUESDAY UPDATE:

Today's stuff:  The teens, BS, the odd persons out at the Outback,
                and Carly/Jason.
Highlights:  More references to Jerry Jacks, Jason in a suit,
             signs that Jax's mooning over Brender will finally end,
             and V's LOD in scene 13.

SCENE #:

1) Tardy Felicia arrives at the Outback just in time to smooth things over
between harried Mac and a disgruntled breakfast customer.  The co-owners
exchange friendly sarcastic banter until Mac takes a call from Dara.

2) At PC High, home of the Mustangs [of which we are reminded some 437
times by the set designers, or perhaps an overenthusiastic Booster Club
leader named Muffy, if TPTB were leaning more to John Hughes than 90210],
Liz & Sarah start their first day by rehashing how Lizzie hurt Sarah,
eventually joining a still-pining Lucky and friends Deenie & Tim
(Vince goes to another school).

3) Jax has business hassles with a Mr. Langdale, telling V, "One of
these days I'm going to have to kill Jerry for putting me in touch with
this guy!...You don't understand, it's become a challenge, you see.  If
I don't find a way to handle him I'll never hear the end of it from my
brother."  V thinks she has a solution.

4) Sonny flashes back to the fatal fight with Fred.  Brenda wants to know
how his face got scratched.  Reynaldo checks in to say he's relieving Pete.
B: "Where's Joseph?"  [RIP *sob*]  S:"...Bahamas.."  B doesn't buy it, but
backs off like a good chihuahua.

5) 2nd floor, GH.  Natty Jason, in a grey, Stefanesque, 4-button suit
and black, V-neck pullover, is briefly ogled by Carly before she lapses
back into her natural state of weeping.

6) V rambles on Lucily about worms, eventually suggesting a merger with
the Plum Silk Corporation.  Jax likes the idea so much he treats her to
breakfast at the Outback.

7) Lucky badgers Nik, who pulls Sarah aside to rehash his pleas for
an explanation of her fickleness.

8) Mac and Felicia quibble over wineglasses and Dara.  F leaves her
invitation to the BS wedding on the bar, eventually to be read by Jax
while V is upstairs.  [Bren's middle name is Veronica, BTW]

9) Sonny tells Bren her coffee stinks and suggests that it's not too
late for her to bail out of their plans, but she refuses.

10) V gives Jax her first artwork (a lovely picture of the tropical
island & night sky).  Brooding Jax asks her to "man the office" while
he goes back to Cali.  Mac invites Felicia to attend the wedding with
Dara and him.

11) More teen squawking as Nik & Lucky recreate the testosterone-laden
posturing of their fathers over the pretty blonde.  Liz overhears that
the rest of the gang will all be in Mr. "coolest teacher" Murty's class.

12) Filly tells Mac how weird & secretive Maxie has been, and also refuses
his invitation, lying about already having a date for the nuptials.

13) V questions Jax relentlessly about his mysterious bad mood.  He assures
her that he likes her, her work, and her painting, but she keeps pushing.
J: "How is it that I never noticed you were so insecure before?"
V: "I was wearing a gun?"  Jax laughs but still leaves rather brusquely.

14) Self-assured Brenda talks Sonny out of his anxiety over leaving the
darkness to be in the light, telling him to depend on her, she's not afraid,
they'll be happy and full of love, but if he can't allow that then maybe she
should let him go.  They touch fingers tentatively.

15) Carly wrings out Jason's hankie, commenting that she oughtta start
carrying one because "I cry *all* the time now"  [who says she's a liar?],
and blames her hormones.  They chat about Tony, Bobbie, parenting.  She
tries to get him to support her notion that she should do *whatever she has
to do* for the baby.  J: "Things don't last."  C guesses that Robin left him.
C & J chat and part as good pals.

16) Nik & Lucky do more Stefan & Luke impersonations.  Sarah tells
Lucky she can fight her own battles.

17) Liz tells Murty how she loves reading, then uses flattery and honesty
to weasel into his class.  He likes her style, "but will it translate?"

18) Filly informs Mac that her date will be a surprise.  V reads the invite.

19) At The Flashback Window, Jax recalls Bren's declaration of love on their
ill-fated wedding morn.  He takes one last look around the home they had shared,
turns out the lights, and leaves.

20) B has S convinced.  No more ifs, buts, or maybes, it's a go.  For the
first time, he thinks they can pull it off.  They laugh with joy and hope.
He grasps her hand firmly, declares his love, & they hugginkiss.
