  Update for General Hospital--Monday September 8, 1997

  Previously on GH:  Sonny is confronted by the Tin Man/
                     Stefan questions Kat about her father/
                      Ned hits on Alexis

Windy-mere front gates--
  Alexis and Ned talk sweet and smooch.  Ned tries to get her to
go to Java with him.  Alexis explains she can't--she's started
something that she must see finished.  She urges him to go
instead to Stefan's "refuge" where she will cater to his every
need.  They can't agree.
   Alexis tells him she must protect Stefan and Nik froma
predator. He promises to send her dirty e-mail.  He tells her
he'll miss her.  When she's alone, she stares at the docotred
photo of Mikkos and Kristen.

Stefan's office--
  Kat explains that she had a DNA match run on Avery Stanton--it
proved that he was "probably" her father. Stefan frowns at the
use of "probably".  Kat realizes that he's checking her
pedigree.  She admits that her parentage is not that important
to her anymore.
   Later, Stef and Alexis confer.  He tries to tell her he's
convinced that Kat is not a relation, while Alexis does her best
to subtly undermine his confidence.  Kristen might have lied,
she offers, to protect Kat from the Cassadines.
   Later still, Kat-girl shows up again for another smooch-fest
with Stef, much to Alexis' despair.

Corridor of some hotel or some such place--
   Keesha intercepts Mick the bartender outside his door.  He
gives her an appreciative once-over as she explains they have a
mutual friend.  "Carly sent me," she announces.  Meanwhile, AJ
hides behind a corner, listening.
   Mick wants to know why she's there.  Keesha tries to draw him
out.  Mick says he wants his money--in cash, not the bogus check
that Carly gave him.  He hands her the check--he doesn't want a
paper trail connecting him to Carly.  He wouldn;t have gotten
involved at all if he knew Carly's plot involved the
Quartermaines.
   Keesha tries to draw Mick out.  He tells her that Carly paid
him $100 to swear that AJ was in his bar that night, drinking.
"But he was never there at all?"  Keesha asks.  "I thought you
knew all about it!" Mick reacts.  He tells her to get out.
   AJ appears and demands to know everything.  He shoves Mick
against the wall wanting to know why Carly set him up.  But Mick
doesn't know.  He tells them to find themselves another kick
ball.
   AJ realizes that Carly must have drugged the pineapple juice.
He laughs bitterly that he'd pay money to see video of her
trying to shove him into that laundry basket.  Keesha worries
that he could have been hurt in the alley where Carly left him.
She reminds him to keep his eyes on the prize--he did not drink
that night, and he still has his sobriety.  That's not much
comfort to AJ as he agonizes over *why* Carly set him up.

At the Outback--
   Carly tries to convince Tony that they should keep their
wedding plans simple.  Dara comes in to sing and Mac keeps
making goo-goo eyes at her while Felicia continues her
irritating jealous schtick.  Jason comes in looking for Sonny
or Mike.

At the Qs--
   Brenda and Lila make plans for the Duh's latest wedding.
Then she flashes back to memories of her other wedding to Jax.
Meanwhile Alan is majorly pissed that AJ never made it to rehab.
Ned is pissed that because he's always cleaning up the Q's
messes, he has no (sex) life.  Edward's just pissed on general
principal.

The Docks--
   Joseph is hot trying to protect Sonny from the Tin Man.
Sonny cradles Joseph, but TM tells Sonny that he's dead.  "If
you're gonna kill me, do it!"  Sonny yells.  "Because one of us
isn't leaving this place alive."
   Sonny dares the guy to shoot him.  TM promises Sonny he will
suffer--Sonny and everyone he cares about will die. They
struggle and TM punches Sonny out.  Then he kicks him sround
some until Sonny's cell phone rings. It's Jason--where is Sonny?
Sonny throws the phone into the water.
   Jason recognizes the sound of water.  Mike comes into the
Outback.  "Where's Sonny?"  he demands.  Mike is bewildered as
Jason rushes past him.
    Back on the docks, Sonny and Tin Man struggle. A muffled
shot goes off as they fight for the gun.  But which of them was
shot?
