Filly's Back

Felicia was about to catch Maxie in the act of stashing the indian
doll, but was interrupted by the doorbell. (updaters note: why did
Bobbie have to ring the Brownstone door - she own's the place!)
Instead she got caught up on all the local gossip she missed while
she was away at Mariah's. Most of which revolved around Carly -
her pregnancy, upcoming wedding to Tony, etc. Filly also
explained that she & Tom were finally kaput - he sent her a
Dear Felicia letter.

Later, at the Outback, Filly got caught up even further on PC
happenings when she saw how well Mac & Dara were getting
along.

AJ & Carly & Tony & Alan, oh my.

At the hospital, Carly was surprised to find AJ wandering the halls;
he was supposed to be in Minnesota rehabing. He made up a lame
excuse about his bed not being ready just yet - another client
needed it more. Ms. Roberts was skeptical.

Tony wandered up and he, too, was shocked at AJ's presence; when
Carly bailed, young Q took the opportunity to quiz Tony on the
evening in question - and found out that Tony never knew
that he was part of the original dinner plans. No emergency
called him away the night AJ fell off the wagon - he was on
night shift all week. AJ pocketed the clue and massaged it.
Was Tony 100% certain of this? Yes, he said, although Carly's
been a little forgetful lately, probably due to the pregnancy.
He then dropped another one, by sharing that he came home
on that same evening and found Carly in his little black bag.

As Tony got beeped away, Alan, passing through, double-taked
to see his ne'r-do-well son still in town, and started abusing
him immediately for disappointing the family and lying
about his intention to check into to rehab.

Keesha entered and tried to comfort her ex, and the two plotted
a way to get concrete proof of Carly's set-up.

J & B

Brenda knock-knock on Jax' door and was confused to find V there,
and in Jax' employ. It was mildly awkward, but V handled it with
a smile and fetched her new boss. The purpose of Brenda's visit -
to invite Jax to the wedding. (LOD from Brenda: "It's no secret that
I can be...selfish.") He gracefully declined. They hugged. Before
leaving, Brenda asked V to keep an eye on him for her.

Sonny/Mike/Jason

At Wyndham's, Mike merrily chatted on about his son's upcoming
wedding - not knowing that the stranger he was talking to was
the Tin Man, who taped the conversation.

Sonny advanced Jason into Mobster 201 - Respect; a Two Way Street.
And how it involved the occasional schmooze. In the end, Sonny
expressed full confidence that Jason would do just fine.

Shortly after Jason questioned Sonny about short-changing Mike
by not telling his father about his plan to leave,
Mike arrived and gushed to Jason that he was so happy he was
going around talk to absolute strangers about the upcoming
nuptials.

Sonny came back from the office, and teased Mike a little about
being showered with gifts. Sensing a poignant conversation
coming on between father and son, Jason went *poof*. This
second gift was a Thanksgiving platter; Mike timidly offered that
he hoped it would remind Sonny to invite him over for dinner
at least once a year.

At first, Sonny took his dad to task for spending so much money
on the gift, but then realized his defensive ploy for what it was
and then we got a Truly Emotional Scene, whereupon expressed
everything about Mike that drove him up a wall - all those things
that fathers generally do. The upshot - Sonny forgave Mike for
running out on him as a kid, and thanked him for his efforts
to re-enter his life. Then it was Mike's turn to spill; when
he expressed his love, pride, and joy in his son, Sonny's lower
lip did quiver more that a little, his eyes did not stay clear and dry,
and the two men embraced.

Cliff-hanger: we saw Tin Man manipulatiing the tape to set up Sonny.
