(I'm taking over for Amber, sharing Tuesday updating duties with Maire.
Today was a mostly boring day to begin; lots of exposition as some
characters leave and others return.)

Scene#:

[1] Felicia is reading Maxie & Georgie a book about their Aztec ancestors.
She explains the Naxoatl [my best guess at the spelling, it's pronounced
Nah-ho-waddle] language which used pictures for words.  Felicia tells Maria
that they might just stay there at the ranch.

[2] V waits breakfast tables at the Outback as Jax, Mac, and Dara look on
in horror.  V can't seem to stop telling people how they should eat, order,
etc.

[3] Sonny & Brenda make wedding plans.  Jason interrupts to tell Sonny
about how Francis & some balance sheets have gone missing from Albany.

[4] Carly & Tony coo over the baby which is suddenly starting to show.
Enter AJ, announcing that he remembered something last night.
[credits]

[5] The Qs discuss vacation plans.  Alan can't get away from the hospital
right now to go with Monica & Em.  Perky Em forgives him, but wants to
say goodbye to AJ.

[6] What AJ remembered was his oath to get treatment.  He's going to rehab.
After Tony leaves, a clearly smitten AJ gushes his thanks to Carly.  He
notices the baby showing, and sez "That's so beautiful.  You're beautiful."
Carly grabs his hand and places it on her belly.  She weeps "I'm gonna
miss you."  He kisses her cheek, lingering afterward with tangible longing
before pulling away.  He leaves and she cries as usual.  [Updater thinks
Sarah Brown has met her match.  Already these two are doing dysfunctional
love lightyears better than BS.  Fabulous soapstuff, except the endless
sobbing.]

[7] More of V condescending to Mac's customers.  Jax tries to intervene
to keep Mac from firing V, but is distracted by Brenda's arrival.  Mac
and Dara look for Felicia's number in Texas, because she's so much better
at managing the staff.

[8] Maria & Felicia discuss her going to see Tom in Africa when a letter
arrives.

[9] Sonny & Jason handle [mindnumbingly dull] gummi bear mob biz.  Sonny
yells at someone on the phone.  Possibly Greer might expose Sonny's biz.
[I tried very hard to keep track of these details but all I can recall
is Sonny's amusing line: "I'm sending Jason to Canada!"]
Sonny wants to know who screwed up, and Jason tells him "you".
So why is he letting this happen?  "Brenda."

[10] AJ arrives at the Qs to tell them he's leaving town to stay sober.

[11] Carly flashes back on her set-up of AJ, and to their one-night stand.
The Neptune's Net Bartender arrives to extort more mula.  Tempers flare,
and he raises his price.

[12] AJ explains his thorough preparations to go to rehab in Minnesota.
The Qs are impressed and unusually supportive & proud.  Em tells AJ
excitedly about her Italian trip.

[13] V badgers her last customer; Mac fires her, but gives her one month's
rent free for her effort.

[14] Today Jax is Bren's best friend.  She has come to break her wedding news
to him, but he's already heard.  He's sweet, she's not, yadda yadda yadda,
"congratulations", "no regrets", she leaves, he's wistful.  V watches.

[15] As V turns in her apron, Jax notes ruefully that they've both had better
days.  Andrea, Addie's assistant and a bundle of nerves, arrives to resign
her position.

[16] Gratuitous friendly (possibly flirty) scene where Dara finds Felicia's
phone number for Mac.

[17] Felicia reads aloud parts of her kiss-off letter from Tom.  He feels it's
his only option, but she's angry not to hear it face-to-face.  Tom doesn't
know where his life is going, and when or if he'll ever come home.  She curses
him.

[18] Sonny has a slo-mo daydream where he carries his new bride across the
threshhold and she is shot and presumably dies.  He is shaken.

[19] AJ confesses privately to Monica that he may not return to Port Chaz
after Rehab.  Monica reassures him that he is loved and wanted.  Even by
Ned, who hears his cue, enters, shakes AJ's hand and sincerely wishes
him luck.

[20] Maxie & Georgie play in the gully.  Maxie finds a rock with a pictograph
just like in the book.

[21] Mac calls Felicia, immediately senses that she's been crying and wants
to know what's wrong.

[22] Jerry's been kidnapped again, and Andrea's had enough.  She quits.  Jax
chews out Jerry on the cell-phone while V makes blatant employment hints.

[23] Brenda arrives home.  A pensive Sonny sez he's made a decision that
changes things.

[24] Em's leaving.  Monica & Alan share a tender kiss goodbye.

[25] Carly angrily writes a check to NNB, then shows him to the door
with a curt "you better keep your damn mouth shut!".  Across the hall,
AJ turns from his door wonderingly.
