                            GH Update for 08/08/97

Today's GH, The Daze of Whine and Woes

Scene 1
Nikolas and Katherine return to Spoon Island for a visit. While Nikki goes off
to ride his horse, Step and Kat chit-chat and make nice with each other.
Scene 2
Robin stands on her favorite bridge [but, unfortunately, doesn't jump].  When
Jason limps up, they embrace, but soon, she begins does her usual whining act.
Scene 3
Sonny's taunts at Rivera about killing Lily win him a couple of whacks upside
the head from the Tin Man. For some inexplicable reason, Rivera grants Sonny
and Brenda twenty minutes alone before they're to be killed.  [I guess he
figures being with Brenda is torture for Sonny; it sure is for me.]
Scene 4
Lucky comes to see Sarah at home. He hems and haws out an apology for leaving
her at the cookout to help Emily; [like she even noticed with Nik-boy there]
eventually, he gets around to asking her out.
Scene 5
Nikolas returns to retrieve Katy and tells Stephan he'll be around every
morning at 7:00am to ride his horse.  After he heads out, Stephan pressures Kat
to stay, and they start to do a slow ritual courting dance reminiscent of two
mating cranes, but just as they entwine necks and are about to kiss, Alexis
arrives, and the mood is broken.
Scene 6
Jason and Robin continue to play the star crossed lovers.  He tells her he
wants her to go to Paris and be happy. She says she's going and is sure he'll
be fine.
Scene 7
Brenda blubbers on, but Sonny assures her Rivera won't kill due to some sick
need for forgiveness. He tells her if she can get a gun, to just keep shooting.
In the midst of all this, he proposes marriage.
Scene 8
Lucky asks Sarah to go to a concert; she accepts. As he leaves, she mentions
that her sister is in town.
Scene 9
Meanwhile, Lizzie is trying to get a beer at Ruby's, but Ruby doesn't buy her
obviously phoney "I forgot my ID" story.
Scene 10
Alexis says she'll be staying the night thereby derailing the Stephan
Testosterone Express, but he insists on a rain check from Katherine.
Scene 11
Nikolas comes to see Sarah. She asks him in, but he declines saying he was just
riding and smells like a horse. "That's ok," she replies "I was just hosing
down Granny, so I'm pretty gamey too."  Eventually, he asks her if she'd like
to go riding on Spoon Island, and she accepts.
Scene 12
Yet even more Robin and Jason kvetching. [Jeez, will this never be over?]
Scene 13
Predictably, Lucky runs into Sarah's sister, Lizzie, outside of Ruby's.
"What's your name?" the little minx asks. "Lucky," he answers.  "We'll see,"
she replies with a seductive smile as the air crackles with potentialities.
Scene 14
Sarah tells Audrey that Nikolas asked her to go riding. Audrey looks concerned
at Sarah's obvious growing infatuation with the young Cassadine.
Scene 15
Alexis gives Stephan a large envelope which she says he should find
interesting. Dirt on Katy, perhaps?
Scene 16
Brenda accepts Sonny's proposal [surprise, surprise] just as Rivera returns to
kill them. Sonny appears to be readying himself to make a move.
Scene 17
Finally, [and hopefully for the last time] we get a series of scenes of Jason
and Robin cavorting around in happier days.
