Date: Thu, 07 Aug 1997 09:01:22 -0600 From: ninapie@ntcnet.com Subject: GH: UPDATE for Monday, July 28 1997 X-Article-Creation-Date: Thu Aug 07 13:48:57 1997 GMT GH UPDATE for 7/28/97-- "Previously on GH": Carly blurts out "I'm pregnant" to Bobbie/ "Tin Man" greets Sonny and Brenda behind bar at Tiger Key/ Emily tells Alan that Monica killed Dorman/ Robin blows up at Jason Scene--Port Charles Hotel Dining Room Alan insists that Emily tell him everything she knows about monica and Dorman. Ned and Monica barge in and glom onto Emily, who's still shaken over what she said to Alan. "Emily, why won't you talk to me?" Monica murmurs while Ned attaches himself like a leech to Em's other side. "Monica, leave Emily alone," Alan says. (Go, guy!) "I certainly will not!" Emily looks like she might fall apart. AJ suddenly appears on the scene. She runs to him and throws her arms around him. Monica asks what Emily said to him--Alan is silent. His beeper goes off--he has to head back to the hospital. Monica and Ned put their heads together for the 587th time and mutter about what Emily might have told Alan. Ned takes the girl home while Monica heads to the hospital, presumably to further pester Alan. Restaurant Ladies' Room-- Bobbie reacts with shcok to Carly's news. Carly says she didn't mean to blurt it out like that--she was in the stall and didn't see who she was talking to. Bobbie gets sarcastic. "Did you grow up reading 'True Romance for Biker Sluts'?" She has no doubt that Carly planned it exactly this way. Though Carly tearfully denies it, Bobbie reams her out. Finally, Carly tells her"Whether you like it or not, I am having Tony's baby--so do me a favor, choke on it." Bobbie congratulates Carly on the neat little trap she set to catch Tony. Carly counters that Bobbie is bbitter and hateful, trying to spoil the one good, pure thing in Carly's life. "Good?" Bobbie snorts. "Pure? Is that what you tell youself...that you're not some little whore--" "Don't call me a whore!" Carly screams. "Or what?" Bobbie taunts. Carly won't go there. She just answers with a taunt of her own. "You'll just have to face the fact that this little whore can give him what that one [indicating Bobbie] never could." The women emerge and deal with Tony. He insists that none of this was meant to hurt Bobbie. Maybe he's not sure the baby is really his, Bobbie hints. Carly asks "Bobbie, can please find a tiny place in your heart to be happy--not for me, but for Tony? You loved this man--you know how much he's wanted a child. If you could have seen him when he listened to my baby's heartbeat..." Bobbie can stand no more. She looks like she's had the heart torn out of her. "I can't believe I ever thought I knew you," she chokes out, staring at Tony. "Enjoy your new family." She escapes. GH, Jason's room-- Robin tears into Jason. Why does he want to risk his life? She grabs his face--"DO you understand that you almost died?" Jason understands. He loves his life and does not want to die. But he doesn't want Sonny to die, either. Robin doesn't understand how he can help Sonny with a hole in his side. "You've got to quit. Stop working for Sonny. Please." Jason is stunned. "No, I can't get out. Ever. I know too much. I've done things you don't even know about." "Sonny could help you. He would do it if you asked. If I asked." Jason tells her no. Even if he could get out, he doesn't want to. He goes into a riff on how important his job is. He's good at it. Why shouldn't he do something he's good at? "Because it can get you killed," she answers, tears streaming. "And I can't stand seeing one more person I love die." She talks about all the people she's lost in her life. Despite all of this, Jason tells her that this is the life he wants--the one he chose. "What if it's not what I want?" Robin asks. Mac comes in with news of Sonny. He and Brenda are probably holed up in Tiger Key, waiting for the Tin Man. Robin takes a wlak, and the two men speak privately. Mac wants to get some things straight with Jason. At one time, Mac would have loved Robin to fall in love with Jason--a rich, smart, genuinely nice guy. But the Jason she fell in love with was violent, antisocial and worked for Sonny Corinthos. Shows you to be careful what you wish for. But now Mac wants to bury the hatchet. Jason says "But I almost got her killed." Mac knows that, but he also knows Jason will not let that happen again. And he can't go to Florida--he'd only be a liability to Sonny. Robin returns and Mac leaves. Jason tells her "I would do anything for you--kill, or die, every single day for you. But this job's a part of me and I can't give it up." Robin answers "Just once I wish you would lie." She leaved the room. Though she's just outside the door, they are a million miles apart. Carly's place, later-- She tells him how much it means to her that he believes her telling Bobbie was an accident. They had their crisis of faith with the custody papers incident, tony reminds her. He knows she would never deceive him again--would she? O course not, she vows. Tony goes to bed. Carly's still in the living room when she flashes back to Bobbie's words--is it really Tony's baby? Carly winces at the memory. Suddently AJ taps at the door. "You guys awake in there?" Carly presses aginst the door, not answering. AJ returns to his place. Carly is left alone with her guilty conscience. Dive in Tiger Key-- Sonny and Brenda are waiting in a divey bar, hoping to spot the tin Man. Sonny notices the bartenders are acting suspiciouslyu. The bearded "bartender" speaks on the pay phone while fiddling with a foil gum wrapper and eyeing Sonny. "That's him," Sonny announces. While Sonny tries to explain this to a less than brilliant Brenda, a crash behind the bar startles them. When they glance back to the phone, the Tin Man is gone. A skinny bartender drops a leather billfold on their table, which contains a note and an origami animal. "Open it," Brenda urges as Sonny holds the note. "Not here," Sonny answers. They get up and leave. In their hotel room, Sonny tells Brenda they have been "invited" to appear at some mansion on the island at 9:00 p.m. "Let's go," Brenda chirps. Sonny says whoa. They have to evaluate their choices. There could be danger tonight--they might not make it back alive. Sonny wants to send Brenda off somewhere by herself so she will be safe. She tells him she's not leaving, no matter what. We see the Tin Man on the phone to his boss. S&B should be appearing very soon. The Boss (we only see his hands) lights four candles on the desk before him while opera music plays in the background. Then he takes two long white gloves and lays them down as though decorating an altar. The End! ***** Nina P.
