UPDATE of GENERAL HOSPITAL for July 21, 1997---

Previously on GH:  Bobbie warns Kat about Stefan/ Jax finds V on his
plane/ Emily finds Jason on the hospital floor

Scene--Jax's plane--Jax and V

V orders Jax to land the plane, then tries to reason with him.  HE
wise-asses around with her until finally warning her to buckle up
for a landing.  When she sees the water below them, she quickly (and
quietly, for a change) complies. They land on antever that is, a
tiny island I guess) and Jax plans to leave V there.  With plenty of
provisions, of course.  Ms. V objects to this plan--she wants back
on the aircraft.  She could help him locate Sonny and Brenda.  A
thunderstorm starts. Jax ribs her--she's not afraid of a little
lightning and thunder, is she?  At that moment, a flash of lightning
strikes the plane and Jax throws himself protectively on top of V.

Scene--GH--Jason's room

Em freaks out at seeing Jason on the floor.  "It's happening again!"
He tries to tell her he's all right. Robin comes in, and they get
him back to bed. Robin tries to reason with him about staying in the
hospital; he's worried about Sonny.  Mr. Model Patient grouses about
staying in bed--Robin gets him to promise to stay until he's
recovered.

Various locations around GH:

Ned and Monica worry about Emily for the 248th time.

Alexis tries to pump Sarah for info on Nik's whereabouts. Sarah
answers that she's only seen him around the hospital.

Bobbie is very civil, IMO, to a trampy man-stealing Kat by trying to
warn her about the REAL Stefan Cassadine.  "He's a terrible person.
All the power in the world is not enough for him.  He's a wonderful
seducer, though--you may end up having the time of your life."  Kat
tells Bobbie that she needs to tell her troubles to a shrink.
(KittyKat falls into the classic female pitfall:  "He may have
treated *her* like crap, but of course he'll never be that way to
*me*.")  Bobbie deliver the Parthian shot:  "You haven't crossed him
yet--be careful."

Monica and Bobbie comfort Emily, who's still shook up by Jason's
fall.

Robin and Bobbie talk.  Robin tells her that she's scared--she never
thought about Jason dying before.  She can't even share her fears
with him--it's not "part of their deal". Bobbie confides that she
once loved a man in the same line of work as Jason (Roy DeLuca?).
She just took it one day at a time.  She tells Robin to talk to
Jason,a sk questions, get information--then she can make an informed
decision.

AT the Port Charles Hotel--

Alexis and Ned meet for dinner and now she tries to pump him for
info on KittyKat.  He gets wise to her manuevers. Alexis assures him
that she's just interested in family histories.

At the "Chapel of Love"--

Nik and Sarah meet up at the chapel in the woods.  He tells her it's
a big day for him--he quit his family.

Scene--Kat's apartment--Kat, Stef and Nik

Stefan finds Nik answering the door to Kat's place.  He wants Nik to
come home, but Nik refuses.  "You no longer get to question me...
you can let all the buildings you want burn down for the sake of
your privacy.  But I'm going to have mine. Nik tells him to say
nothing more about Bobbie or Laura--Nik no longer believes anything
he says.

Stef tells Nik that he has always loved him--what can he do to
convince him of that love?

"What I want is to be away from you."

"Have the Spencers been coaching you?"  his uncle asks. If he wants
to run his own life, why lean on Katherine?

Nik almost breaks down, crying, "What do I have to do to get you to
*hear* me?"  Katherine invited him to stay--he spent the night at
her place.

Where was Katherine?  Stef asks.  Right here, Nik replies. Hmmm.

Nik tells him that Kat wants him to stay--if she ever asks him to
leave, he'll go.  Stef informs him in no uncertain terms that he is
*not* staying.  "I have the final word, young man," he thunders,
sounding like the angry dad to end all angry dads. Kat, with
impeccable timing, chooses that moment to enter the room.

Stef insists that Nik leave with him.  Nik looks to Kat--does she
want him to go?  She demurs.  Nik leaves, and Stef lays into Kat.
She tries to explain, but the Man in Black doesn;t want to hear. He
no longer believes that she cares about either him or Nikolas--if
she did, she would have notified him of Nik's whereabouts.  He then
orders her to make Nikolas leave. "WHo do you think you are?"  she
responds coldly.  She tells *him* to leave.  "Nikolas can stay here
as long as he wants."
