UPDATE, THURSDAY JULY 3: OFFICER RICK RETURNS!
Flashback count: 1.

1. STUPORCOUPLE #1

KatyBlech wanders into the Outback and Mac tells her how she inspires him.
She thinks she walked away from a lot, and she may leave her job at
General Hospital.  Stefan and Alexis come in and sit down.  The Barkeeper
[is this still Brian?] sets up a 3-olive martini.

Jax comes in to ask Mac to solve a murder.  Mac says no.  The last time
he tried to help Jax he ended up, he thought, killing Miranda. Once
around that block is enough.  Jax reminds Mac that he would do anything
for Felicia.  Convinced, Mac says he will look around.  Meanwhile,
Officer Ardanowski chats with Katherine.  Mac talks to Officer A. to
find out if her apartment is OK now. [Wasn't that really Lucy's apartment?
Are the Annoying Yuppie Couple still in back?]

Alexis attempts to get Stefan's attention from mooning over Katherine.
They have conversation #21.  [Oh, not everyone has the book to look
this one up?  These conversations are repeated so often, you should!]
She is extremely concerned with how close the Spencers came.  If she
hadn't stumbled upon Bobbie in the medicine closet who knows what would
have happened.  Again Stefan assures her everything is under control.
[Yeah, right.  Your Fearless Updater wonders why Alexis doesn't take the
reins and become the Cassadine while Stefan continues to think with the
wrong head.]  Alexis reminds Stefan that the coming week is critical.  He
agrees.

Nik comes in to talk to them.  He tells them Lucky is in the
pediatric volunteer program.  Alexis counsels control.  Stefan says the
best way to deal with these people is to overlook them, advice he has
certainly been following himself.  Nik also saw Bobbie.  He thinks she
lied about everything.  Stefan leaves, and Nik and Alexis talk about
trusting the family first.  She cautions him not to tell Katherine about
Bobbie being thrown out of the house.

Jax says hi to Katherine and Officer Ardanowski tells Jax she thinks
hiring Mac is a great idea.  Jax is annoyed, but V.A. had figured it out
on her own.

Brian[? Another dropped story] brings another 3-olive martini, though
Katherine hasn't touched the first one.  She's changing to iced tea.
[Well, that's one thing the stupid story has done for her.]  As Nik
leaves, he talks to Katheine.  He tells her Bobbie has moved out.

V.A. [I really want her to be V.I.] comes back and Katherine leaves,
after a short talk with Alexis.  Jax asks V.A. for help.  There's a
stupid conversation about bribes, but she'll keep her eyes open.

Stefan sits and has flashbacks of wonderful Katherine.  BORING.
He unlocks the box.  There's another box inside it with floppies.  He
inserts the first into the Magic Laptop and Looks Sinister.  [Your
Fearless Updater was waiting for him to type in the code word: "format"]
Stefan finally presses the Any Key.  "Phase III" comes up on Luke's
computer.  Luke looks worried, and leaves the office.

2. STUPORCOUPLE #2
There are candles all over the safe house.  Sonny has come in and
Brenda babbles.  She couldn't sleep.  But Sonny is gonna fix it, right?
He tells her about his "excape."  "Six cars later, here I am."  Brenda
doesn't understand. [No duh!]  She will never get used to being kept in
the dark.  Boring boring boring.  Sonny leaves.  Brenda sulks.  Sonny and
Joseph grab Taggart in his car.

3. SECRETS AND LIES, A NORMAL DAY WITH THE Q'S.
Emily insists that Brenda did NOT kill Dr. Dorman.  Monica tries to sooth
her while Edward blusters on.  Alan and Lila come in.  Alan is surprised
by the news, and Lila says it's ridiculous.  Edward says the Port Charles
Police Department is incompetent, which I'm sure is news to all of us, right?

Emily demands to hear the truth.  Monica explains that she and Ned had
tried to keep Brenda's arrest from Emily and Edward is annoued that no
one told him.  Monica says to Emily, "At least all the secrets are out
and you and I can go shopping."  Alan says no.  They need to keep
everything in the open now.  There's more quibbling.  The drug counsellor
would be so proud.  Lila [you GO, girl!] sets them all right and then
takes Edward out.

Emily steps outside and Alan follows.  Ned comes in and Monica tells him
she's going to confess.  Ned talks her our of it and tells her about
Jason at the police HQ.  Outside, Alan starts out with "when I was your
age" and Your Fearless Updater rolls her eyes right along with Emily.
Alan didn't know how hard life was.  Emily starts to cry.  Give this girl
the Emmy right now!  Alan tells her he loves her, and admires and
respects her.  "Thank you," she weeps.  They hug with a worryin Ned and
Monica watching.

4.  THE RETURN OF OFFICER RICK!

Ned, at PCPDHQ, wants to know what the trouble is.  Taggart says that
it's people standing in his way.  Ned comments that it's a public
building and wants to know why Jason is there.  *Swoon*! It's OFFICER
RICK!!!! He brings a note to Taggart.  Taggart tells him to watch Jason.
Officer Rick does not, as Your Fearless Updater hopes, say "Watch him do
what?"  Taggart says "One criminal excaping [none of them can say 'escape'!]
from this building is enough."  [And still, he gives the job to Rick!]
Ned asks Officer Rick if he can talk to Jason.

Ned asks Jason if he can get out of this, what is the evidence?  Ned
knows it's impossible that the evidence is the bloody scalpel.  Ned asks
Jason where Sonny and Brenda are.  Jason says nothing.

Taggart asks Ned about Brenda & Sonny.  (He's much politer to the
Quartermaine money, I note.)  They confront each other.  Ned leaves.
Officer Rick watches Taggart threaten Jason.

In the interrogation room, Taggart interrogates Jason.  Jason smarts
off.  Taggart takes his cell phone and gives it to Officer Rick.  Mac
comes in and waits till Taggart leaves again with Jason.  Officer Rick
watches that, too.  He must be thinking something.  Mac says hi to Rick.
He, Mac, is collecting favors.

Garcia questions Jason and also gets no response.  Jason points out that
Garcia doesn't like Taggart.  Jason mentions Lily and wants to know why
Garcia hates Sonny.  Garcia can't believe how Jason has changed, and
arrests him.
