Date: Sun, 22 Jun 1997 20:11:51 -0600 From: ninapie@ntcnet.com Subject: GH: UPDATE Monday 6/16/97 X-Article-Creation-Date: Mon Jun 23 01:04:53 1997 GMT General Hospital UPDATE for Monday 6/16/97-- Facts of interest (to me, anyway): Keesha missing in action 18 shows *Zero* flashbacks today--are they a thing of the past? a new cast member today--the four legged kind :-) "Previously on GH"--Carly thinks she's pregnant Bobbie and Luke try to break into Stef's computer two hairs found on Dorman's body Quartermaine manse-- Lila is dressing down Det. Taggert for harassing Emily. Taggert insists that he must get hair samples from family members, although he seems a bit more subdued once Lila gets through with him. Mr. T. informs the Qs that they are not above the law--and for all their claims of innocence, they sure are acting guilty. Alan notices that Ned and Monica are acting "hinky" and wants to know what they're hiding. Monica tries to cover by telling a half-truth. She thinks Em is suffering from post-traumatic stress sysdrome after everything she's been through. Ned butts in and adds to the general obfuscation. Alan believes that Em needs professional help. Why are Ned and Monica trying to keep so many secrets? The docks-- Jason is deep in thought--he's thinking about the promise he made to Robin about looking after the Qs. Sonny comes along and they talk. The cops are trying to pin Dorman's murder on Sonny (gee, don't they realize that Sonny's a *nice* gangster?) and wanted Jason to corroborate them. Jason thinks that the Qs may be involved in the murder--they're all acting weird (since when don't they?). He's especially concerned about Em, but he won't let Sonny hang, even if it's at the expense of the Qs. Sonny tells his faithful lapdog to chill--the cops are spending so much energy picking on poor misunderstood Sonny that the real murderer is likely to walk. The guys then commiserate about how hard it is to control women these days (just kidding). Brenda needs to "get over" her distaste for her lover-man's chosen line of work--little things like getting shot at in the shower and knowing her predecessor got blown up simply shouldn't get to her (sorry--I couldn't resist). Sonny knows the life is hard for Brenda but he's too old to change. Jason reminds him that Brenda chose him of his own free will. Sonny is happy with their reunion and hopes that the feeling will continue for both of them. GH--Audrey's hospital room Sarah (Audrey's granddaughter) has filled the room with flowers, balloons, etc. She explains to Amy that she feels her gran may sense her surroundings, and wants her to know how much she is loved. Amy's cool with that. On her way out, she runs into Lucky, who's just coming in. She's aware of his interest in Sarah. "Just because I'm blonde doesn't mean I'm dumb. And Lucky, try not to pop any balloons on the way in." (Okay, so maybe I've got a dirty mind, but *I* thought there was some sexual innuendo in this line. Others feel it was just a comment on Lucky's spiky hair.) Lucky and Sarah talk. He can empathize with what she's going through, because his grandma was sick, too. He thinks the jokes he told her made her feel better. Sarah is near tears and Lucky tries to comfort her (some real impressive acting on Jon Jackson's part, I thought): "I know what you're going through...it's okay, Sarah." (J.J. was very mature in this scene--I almost felt he grew older before my eyes as I watched. I'm not worried about his ability to keep up with a somewhat older actress as a possible love interest--I only hope she can keep up with him.) Elsewhere in GH-- In the hallway outside of Stefan's office, Luke heads off Stefan. Bobbie is inside and --Eureka!--she has discovered the secret password to break into his computer: "island". She calls up Luke on the cell phone and he picks up as he toys with Stef. Luke pretends its Laura calling and tries to drop some hints about Stef being right there with him outside the door. When Bobbie finally buys a clue, she panics. There's no place to hide! Luke steps aside when he can no longer hold off Stef. Stef prowls around his office while Bobbie is hunkered down on the other side of an open bookcase. Stef touches his computer (is it warm?) and gets himself a glass of water from a pitcher on the bookshelf while Bobbie grimaces, hoping he doesn't spot her. Out in the hall, Lucky comes along. There is a suspicious lump under his shirt, but he responds vaguely to Luke's question about it. They discuss dinner plans--pepperoni pizza--and Dad tells Son pick one up along with a six-pack of beer. "I'll need one of those fake I.D.s", he reminds his dad. Luke thinks better of it (whew!) and tells Lucky he'll do the honors. When Stef leaves the office, he passes a janitor with his big cleaning cart in the hall outside. Once he's gone, Luke comes out from behind the cart and hands the cleaner some cash. He hurries in to find Bobbie. She tells him "Stefan knows." Luke is skeptical (sp?) and he and Bobbie spend a few minutes doing their "spencers against the world" routine. But Bobbie is sure that Stefan is wise to her. So what? Luke wants to know. "He'll find out that we're standing on the same side of the firing squad. This time, when we bury the hatchet, let's make sure it's in Stefan's head." They leave the room with their arms around each other. Audrey's room again-- A lumpy Lucky comes back in. He tells Sarah that one thing that helped his own grandma get better was his dog Foster. So he thought that maybe Audrey would enjoy a visit from her furry friend, Gatsby. He takes a big chubby calico cat out from under his shirt. Sarah thanks him and takes the cat in her arms. (I'm glad Audrey had somebody to come home to.) A bit later, they both sit by Audrey's bedside (Jon's holding the cat--he seems to have better luck with it than the actress playing Sarah). Suddenly Sarah realizes that her grandmother's eyes blinked. They talk to Audrey encouragingly, and she openes her eyes. ""You've cut your hair," she murmurs to Sarah. Carly's apartment-- Tony stops by the apartment and finds AJ there. AJ tells them he's looking forward to their performance at the Nurses' Ball. Carly asks Tony if they're still doing the number--Tony answers yes, they've made a commitment and everyone is counting on them. The two men leave for a bit to check out a problem AJ is having with his plumbing and little Ms. Crop-Top tears into the kitchen. She fishes her home pregnancy test out of the garbage and plants it in the wastebasket in the bedroom next to Tony's desk. It's not quite obvious enough, so she crumples some more papers and stuffs them into the trash, making sure the box and test are perched right at the top so even a blind man would find them. Back inside, Tony goes to his desk to retrieve some things he left behind. "What is this?" he questions when he spots the evidence. "Oh, my god, Tony. I didn't mean for you to see that." (The girl is good.) "Are you pregnant?" "It's not your problem." (Just brimming with self-sacrifice and nobility.) "Just answer me." Carly admits that she is "with child". "You don't have to worry about it." She lets him know how much she wants the baby. Tony is solicitous. He wants her to see a doctor, take care of herself. HE gets emotional--after BJ died, he just never believed that he would ever have another child. Then he apologizes for laying all his stuff on her. Carly assures him that she is happy that she's pregnant: "It feels right." Tony has to get away--the whole thing is just too emotional for him now. Carly looks pretty emotional, too, after he leaves. Back at the Qs-- Monica receives a call from Stefan saying that he wants to have her reinstated on the hospital board. Alan congratulates her, then excuses himself. Ned tells her : "You had me worried. I was afraid you were going to tell the truth." Monica is worried about Em, but doesn't want her to talk to anyone else until Monica is sure that Em remembers nothing of the night of Dorman's murder. Meanwhile, Alan is in the next room talking to Dr. Rogers (the psychiatrist). He wants to make an appointment with him for Emily. His daughter needs to start regaining her memory. --end of show-- Nina P. -------------------==== Posted via Deja News ====----------------------- http://www.dejanews.com/ Search, Read, Post to Usenet
