From: djmaryb@mindspring.com (mary b) Subject: GH: Wednesday Update 6/11 Date: Mon, 16 Jun 1997 16:43:33 -0500 Wednesday Update 6/11 Wyndemere Bobbie's attempting to break into Stefan's desk when her husband calls with the tragic news that the Nurses' Ball's sponsors have withdrawn their cash. As they're discussing options, Bobbie is distracted by the sight of Luke breaking into the house. When Stefan asks what's wrong, she says she spied one of their horses jumping the fence, offers to talk to Lucy about the ball, and gets off the phone. Bobbie and Luke discuss her upcoming role in his plans for Stefan, and he offers to give her an out so she won't have to risk getting into trouble. No way, she says. Jax's Apartment Jax displays both his pecs and his amazing psychic powers; the police officer who's been dogging him shows up at his penthouse with food, and he correctly guesses exactly what Officer Shadow had for breakfast, and ends up sharing his coffee and donuts - an offer no cop can resist. He flirts with her a little bit, and feels her out to see if she knows exactly where he was when Dorman was murdered. She pulls out her log and lists off all of his activities; he flirts some more, and she runs off to share Jax whereabouts with Taggert. Wyndemere Luke and Bobbie go over her recent conversion to the Spencer side of things. She's ready to help her brother, and wants to know what he needs of her. What he needs is for Bobbie to get a good look into Stefan's powerbook. She thinks it's locked up in the desk drawer, but hasn't been successful in breaking in. She says Stefan's been a little more security conscious lately, and probably activated a password to get in the computer, anyway. When Luke starts to explain exactly what he thinks Stefan can do with his microchip, Bobbie spies her husband entering, and slaps big Bro right in the face. Continuing the charade, she yells at him all the things she's yelled at him for the last six months, but for Stefan's benefit. Luke catches on quickly and escalates the argument, till Cassadine announces his presence and threatens to have him thrown off the property. Luke puts on his cools shades and leaves. Stefan clucks over his wife, who pretends to be mad at Luke and plants a big, wet one (or two or five) on her target, while her hand winds down to his pocket. Next thing you know, she's nailed him to the sofa and they're making out like teens when Jax calls. While Stefan takes the call (turns out Jax wants to sponsor the Nurses' Ball), Bobbie goes for, and retrieves, the key to Stefan's desk. PCPD HQ Legal counsel arrives; Sonny's hiring Valentine to represent Jason in the matter of Dorman's murder. Valentine immediately weeds out that the PC PD has already ignored anything resembling anything to do with civil rights, and is doing pretty well until he angers Jason by mentioning his mental capacity, or supposed lack of it. Jason stands up and gives the lawyer a nasty look, and has to be restrained while Taggert and the lawyer go off. Jason goes over the Dorman stuff with Sonny and tells him what he found at the scene: that Dorman's heart was nearly cut out, blood all over, but no murder weapon. He did find plane tickets to Chicago in Dorman's pocket, tho. He defends his presence at the crime scene, saying he'd probably have been arrested anyway, but as there was no evidence anywhere linking him to the murder, he may as well give whoever did it 24 hours to cover their tracks. He's also well aware that his brain damage can be used for a legal argument. A very nattily dressed Garcia is back! Mac gives him the goods on Taggert and the Dorman murder, then offers some small support to Jason. Qs Emily is crashed, with Ned, Alan and Monica hovering over her. Alan and Monica step out and Ned stays. Downstairs, at a family meeting, Edward goes on a rampage about Jason and the bad publicity he's going to bring on the Qs. Monica confidently announces that Jason is not Dorman's murderer, and Alan says he's heading to police headquarters to bring him back, and Edward had better treat young Morgan with respect. Emily, awake, is hysterical, crying in Ned's arms saying she's sorry and "it's my fault, please don't hate me." Turns out, she's talking about her diary, and has had a complete memory lapse of the last 48 hours (8 days in our time). The last thing she remembers is getting into AJ's car. Ned and Monica break the news to her, that Dorman can't hurt her anymore. Upon hearing of his death, she admits she's happy about it. Monica encourages Emily to eat; when she says the word "attack" in reference to a croissant, Em has a vague recollection (okay, it was pretty clear, actually) of seeing blood on Monica's pink blouse. HQ Garcia is amazing! Five minutes and one commercial break into the case, and he already has the goods on Dorman's activities re: moving bodies around. He tells Taggert about it and they head off for the morgue. Although Mac was fired from his commissioners' gig, he's there on the phone. Alan enters to scope out the situation, and when he asks Mac if Jason's all right, the camera pans the the prodigal Quartermaine, his feet up on a desk. Alan approaches Jason, lays out his concerns for Jason's case and tells him he wants to bring him back to the Q mansion, a idea Jason's not into, but Sonny convinces him to go. Morgue Garcia gets Taggert to do the dirty work; sho' nuff, the find the heroin in the body that Dorman was trying to get released for transport. Next, the team is back at the station, where Taggert takes up hassling Jason again. Sonny and Valentine press the detective to put up or shut up and release their suspect. The two cops confab, discussing their mutual quest for Sonny. Finally, Garcia orders his junior to release Jason. Luke shows up for no reason whatsoever, but Sonny informs him of what's going on, and Bobbie calls (Luke's cell phone) to let him know she wormed the key. She mentions that she feels like a hooker in her own home; isn't thrilled about that, but is committed. They hang up, and Luke and Sonny leave. Next, we see Garcia and Taggert with their heads together, sharing the news that forensics found two hairs, one dark, one blonde, on Dorman's body. mary -- FAC Bobby's (Departing) Trust Fund, MHGC Stefan, FGC Luke, FGCO Duke & Anna, BABE, PBSDT Corporal, Rogue FGB Clue Shop, FOC Kelly, Keeper of the Hopefully Returning Je Ne Sais Quoi
